Okay guys, I must say if you're looking for quality seafood locally come stop by Kittys! I visited today with my boyfriend, we got the fish and chips and BY FAR THEE BEST FISH I HAVE EVER HAD! Everything down to the crunch of the tempura-like batter was wonderful! Fish was fresh and fried to order, batter was light and crispy and the tartar sauce was the icing on top. The closest to authentic British fish and chips anywhere in southern California. It's still a traditional mom and pop shop, so it's best to order in person though I wish they could provide online ordering. I'd probably stop by at least once a week if they did. Tried this place for the first time after living in the area for 2 years and I'm mad I didn't try it sooner! We had the fish and chips which was really good. We also had the calamari, hush puppies, jalapeño poppers, and macaroni salad and everything was delicious. My only complaint (well 2) was that we waited about 30 minutes for our food, but soon realized it's faster to order ahead so we'll do that next time. This is the original H Salt Fish and Chip store. The very friendly owner told me they changed their name a few years ago. The price is very reasonable. The portions isn't large but it's only $2.99 so it is actually worth the price. I had fry zucchini, fry mushrooms and fry sweet potatoes. All $2.99 each and it comes in a white envelope bag (like the popcorn chicken bag). I got 6 pieces of sweet potatoes! 4 pieces of zucchini. Sorry. I ate them while driving home so no photos.
