Really unhappy with this company. I decided to pay more for their services than a groupon I had because they sold me on their special dry cleaning process. They showed up near the very end of the window even though I had requested a "sharp" (in their words) arrival. I had been quoted for a bedroom and stairs (which is considered a room.) Fine. I was showing the guy around and when he saw my bedroom closet, he told me that would be extra. Extra. I told him bedrooms come with closets. He consulted his phone which said that the quote was for a bedroom and stairs. Now, the whole place is 700 sq ft, so my closet is not palatial by any standards. This was my first time to use Kiwi Services. I liked everything they said online.....being green for the environment, having the warranties, etc. I even thought the cost was very reasonable, considering a got a quote from another company that wanted to charge more than double the cost for the same amount of work! The Kiwi service technician arrived right on time (8:00am) and went to work immediately. I had already cleared the rooms with the exception of the large bulk items, i.e. sofa, bedside tables, but unfortunately he did not move those items, even though Kiwi promotes that the service technician will move these items for you. None-the-less, I felt that a good job was done on my carpets. I can't say that I am sold on the process, but that may be that I'm just used to the old fashioned way of steam cleaning, but time will tell if their process does work. The blessing is, I do have a 2 year warranty for them to come back at any time for a miminal charge and I will definitely take advantage of that! At the end of the day, I was very pleased! read more

I have used Coit for many years along with Blackmon Mooring for years until they went to commercial only. Instead of using Coit again, I thought I would give Kiwi a try since they do offer a one year warranty. Thank goodness for a one year warranty because their customer service is the worst I have ever dealt with. The technician who came to our new house, was on time, but realized he forgot or lost some of his equipment so he had to leave and didn't come back until two hours later. He was a young guy, and he was inexperienced and cocky. He quickly cleaned our media room and asked me to look at it. It looked dirty still and he said to me, that is how carpet is, when you push it one way, it can look different , than push it another way and it can look lighter. What an idiot. He knew when he showed up that I am a perfectionist and like things very clean. I told him I was not happy with the cleaning he did, and then he goes off to say, I am going to call my manager and see what I should do because I don't want to waste your time and don't want to waste my time. I was shocked. He was to clean our downstairs also which is all tile. He said he remeasured the area and he came up with 500 sq feet more. I was like, how? Anyway, he didn't end up finishing the cleaning of our floors that day and had to come back two days later. He then charged us over $240.00 more than what we were quoted. Rebecca who I spoke to a couple of times to set up the appointment and because of the complaint I had, decided to send someone else out to my house to measure it to see who is correct. Really? So they set the appointment up for this past Saturday (Memorial Day Weekend), and guess what, they never showed up. We waited for just under 4 hours and then I get a phone call stating they are a bit behind and it will be a couple of more hours. We could not wait around for that. I was so angry at this time. Supposedly Rebecca was to call me back because she was going to be so disappointed per the customer service rep, but, again, no phone call. They owe me a refund and I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS FLOOR CLEANING COMPANY TO ANYONE. THEY ARE BEYOND AWFUL. I don't complain hardly ever regarding service from a company, I am usually raving about companies, but this company is just the worst I have ever dealt with. read more

I wrote a review a couple of months ago about how I would recommend Kiwi Services. Not anymore. I called them to come clean the same sofa and upholstered chairs that they'd cleaned before. The first time they did a really good job, even though the stains the first time were more serious. This second time (the stains weren't as bad), but the sofa and chairs look practically the same way they did after they "cleaned" them. And, of course, I still had to pay the full amount. WARNING....Over priced and under serviced. After one hour of waiting, past the back end of the appt time window, I had to contact customer service. They said the technician had a conflict in schedule and failed to let them know. They would have to contact another tech in my area. I bet they think I believed that. Three techs arrived 45 minutes later, in what appeared to be a personal vehicle and started pulling equipment out of the back. It speaks volumes about a company that does not provide company vehicles to their employees. The techs were nice enough young men but the level of expertise and training that the Kiwi customer service bragged about fell short. The work that was done was mediocre aNd even with the $75.00 discount for my troubles, the cost was equivalent to a more reputable company. Never again. read more

We live in a 2300 sq ft of story home and needed two bedrooms cleaned for my 3 yr old and 2 week old boys. The tech arrived nearly an hour after the 2 hour window, and once arrived, he made me feel extremely uncomfortable. I wasnt sure if something was wrong with the tech, but he kept getting lost whenever he would he would go to the car to get additional equipment. Seriously he had only been here 10 min and had already got lost at least 7 times. He spent most of his time talking to me. Everytime he left the living room, where he would come to talk to me, he would then leave to his truck, come back and get lost again.He asked for alcohol then I said I didn't know where it was then he said how about peroxide, I said well everything is boxed up (we just moved to new home) so Idk where that is either and he said oh what about a soda, any kind. So I gave him one and he drank it, while standing there asking me if my two week old baby was sleeping, and sitting on the arm of my couch. I said no I'm breast feeding him and he stood there and tried to keep the conversation going. It was so awkward. After the extremely awkward cleaning, I noticed that the carpet looked exactly the same as it has before, after it dried, which by the way took at least an hour to dry. Then that evening my three yr old was playing on his floor and several bite marks which appeared to be dust mite bites appeared. Then the next day several more bites appeared on him after playing in his room on the floor. I believe this crappy carpet cleaning business brought dust mites to my home and to top it off, we paid for a crappy service and an awkward, annoying, unprofessional tech. The manager of Houston branch need to learn, know and understand what customer service is and then teach and train his people. Policies and procedures should be in place and train their staff to adhere to it to have good customer service and relationships. Communication is awful. I have never written a bad review but the manner in which Kiwi treats their customers is deplorable and my personal experience was so poor that others need to beware of doing business with this company. Having used their services for carpet cleaning and having an acceptable experience, I contracted them again about cleaning my new rug. As it is very expensive and it would obviously be taken out of my possession for cleaning, I took appropriate due diligence and called and asked what their policies were on the storage, care and transport. The customer service representative emailed me their agreement and assured me all would be handled with excellence. After speaking to a manager I went ahead and engaged their services. When they came to pick it up there was only one man so I had to try to help him move furniture and roll up the rug. I assumed that would be the only hiccup. However after checking on my rug and having to even hunt it down to get it returned, the actual delivery was the nightmare. They brought my expensive rug back transported in the bed of a dirty pick up truck with cleaning equipment laying all over it and it was folded over and bent. Then as it was a hot day and perhaps that jalopy truck might not have had air conditioning, the man was dripping in sweat and as I again helped him move my furniture as he was alone, he got his perspiration and dirt all over my linen sofa and the newly cleaned rug. It was appalling. This was all after I was sold into an added cleaning service that was obviously futile. After repeated attempts to get a refund from various employees who had massive delays in even replying to my emails or calls, the sales director and assistant to CEO, Elizabeth Cyr, advised me they would not provide an refund at all and only would provide another cleaning. I would never allow this company access to my property again. They do not care about their customers, did not see all the facts and correspondence before I even engaged their service and they think they can just treat customers this way. I too would give no stars if that was an option. Honestly the worst customer service I have EVER experienced. Whatever you do, do not hire this company to do anything in your home. First, they came in and gave an estimate. At that point they were nice enough. They then showed up for an appointment at the last minute of the window, and were not prepared to clean the floors. They then no-showed for the re-scheduled appointment. At this point, I should have walked away and cut my losses, however, they offered to clean the floors for free in order to please a first time customer. I took them up on the offer. Again they showed up towards the end of the appointment. I should have expected that the floors would be cleaned poorly, which they were. They told us multiple times they would move the couch, which they did not. They told us some tile required a stripping and a re-sealing. That was not done at all. They left footprints. Overall, a terrible job. Oh how I wish this was the end of my review. However, they also permanently damaged the floors and a heavy metal statute. The statute was on the fireplace, near where they were cleaning, but not on where they were cleaning. I had moved most all small items and breakables from the rooms they were cleaning, but did not think I needed to move a statute that was on an area they were not cleaning. There are areas of the floors that are cracked and broken, permanently damaged. I patiently waited two weeks to have a manager come out do a report, and hear from them. The "manager" came out and took pictures of the floor and left. He did not ask questions, he did not do any kind of analysis of the flooring, he not even look under rugs or furniture. They continually promised to call me regarding the situation, and then would not. Summer, who had up until this point been friendly called today to fully deny any responsibility. They admit that the cleaning was done very poorly, yet believe the technicians that did such a poor job over the customer. They are fully denying responsibility for any of the damage. Not because of some issue with the floor, or installation, but because they basically do not believe their technicians caused the damage. And they no not believe me that the damages was caused by their technicians. The only reason to deny coverage of fixing the statute is because if they can't believe us about the floors, they can't about the statute. They are basically calling the customer a liar. Believe me, if I could go back and do it over again, I would have cut my ties with them on the FIRST no-show. Summer also denied allowing me to talk to anyone else on the "management team." I have used Kiwi for several years to clean my carpets. The year warranty is great if you need a re-do only paying for drive time out. They even help you move light furniture around for better access. However, the service inside your home depends on whom the contractor is that comes over...but I haven't had a disrespectful one like a fellow coworker whom I referred Kiwi to. The ones I've gotten help with the LIGHT furniture, and have helped me reduce the need for rework. I'm hoping that this continues for my continued service use of their services. read more

These guys are great. We have a high traffic area in our den that is frequently in need of cleaning. The Kiwi warranty works great for us. When it gets dirty, I can just call and they come out the next day or so and take care of it for a very resonable price, $4 plus a $28 trip charge. We have only had one no show - and they gave us an extra deal to make up for it. I had to come back and write an updated review of Kiwi based on a recent occurrence. A few days after writing my first review, a Customer Service Manager from Kiwi called me and the conversation was nothing short of fantastic. Her name is Elizabeth Cyr and she's quite frankly probably the best asset that the company has. She profusely apologized and expressed her deepest regret for the situation that I had been through. Elizabeth was super sweet, professional and made it clear that this is not the kind of service that Kiwi provides and she wanted to make sure she called me personally to make things right. She then proceeded to let me know that the company would be processing a refund for the double charges that I had to incur. I sent her all the information that she needed immediately to process a refund, and in only a few short days, Elizabeth called me personally to let me know it was processed and a receipt had been emailed to me for the transaction. Needless to say, this is what I call great customer service!! Spot on as far as what I was looking for during my initial interactions with Kiwi but it was made clear that I was dealing with one bad apple. Things may have started off rocky but nothing is perfect. What means most here is that Kiwi went to great lengths to right a wrong and as a consumer, I am very happy about that. This is the worst experience I have every had with any company. I was told they would come look at my rug and give me a quote and ended up taking it without my authorization. The quote they finally gave me was ridiculously hight and I have now spent the past 3 weeks trying to get the rug back. The communication in the company is horrible and everyone I speak with tells me something different. Since this rug was exposed to the recent flood, I am afraid of what it will look like when they finally decide to give it back.
