My in-laws come here at least once a week and since we were in town, they wanted to show us their favorite spot. After trying it, I can see why it's a family favorite (and why it was PACKED on a Wednesday night). The Black Angus Boneless Short Rib and the Mugifuji Black Pork were soooooooooooooo good! Both of them didn't need any sauce or anything to really taste how juicy and flavorful they were! We also got a dolsot bibimbap and a kimchi stew. So much flavor! They give us an iron skillet to cook the meat on. I noticed that when we went home, we did not smell like KBBQ at all! Impressive!

Still great food, service and deals. Went with combo C again, but brought my mom for help. We did much better on the food, but still had leftovers so I think it can feed four avg appetites. We did order the small cold noodle again, but still stick by my assessment cause we didn't really eat that much rice. They offer the stone pot rice too! Anyway, service was even better this time it seems because they refilled our banchan quickly and without even asking. Great bang for your buck at KBBQ with the quality of meat , banchan and service from a higher end place. Parking tip: there was a valet on a Wed evening which surprised us, but for $3, very convenient as their parking is limited and service was great!

The food here, from the banchan to the main dishes, is delicious and of really good quality! Banchan: Very diverse, they even serve fried fish with egg batter, which I've never seen elsewhere. LA Galbi: The meat was tender, not chewy, and the marinade was excellent. Cold Noodle: Normally I'm not a fan of cold noodles, but this one was actually quite good (I ordered it because my husband wanted to try). Grilled Fish: Pretty standard, but I loved that it came with 누룽지 (crispy rice soup). The fresh, crunchy vegetables on the side were also impressive! The atmosphere is great, big, clean, and it really feels like dining in Korea. The staff are older but super kind and attentive, always making sure our banchan was refilled

Amazing spread of banchan and authentic Korean cuisine. Their seafood pancake is a must try.

the food was so delicious! we came in kind of late at around 9 pm. they quickly sat us and we ordered. the customer service was unbelievably good. Paul was our server and he was so incredibly kind and hospitable! we got the brisket and the black pork. the black pork was so delicious and paul told us it was one of his favorites. you can feel the deep history here. the food was good, but having paul as your server is definitely the highlight of the meal.

Ambiance: the establishment is located at a corner spot, limited parking spots in the private lot, large and stylish wooden tables and chairs, it feels very cold inside the restaurant Service: very friendly and attentive, although it took a while to place the order and receive the food Food: classic comfort food and Korean bbq Banchan - *** limited kinds YUK GAE JANG - **** Spicy Pulled Beef and Vegetables Soup, flavorful broth and tasty meat, recommend TTEOGGALBI - *** Minced, Seasoned, and Grilled Beef Short Ribs, soft meatball texture, sweet taste MOOL NAENGMYUN - *** Hand-Made Buckwheat Noodles in Cold Broth with Meat and Vegetables, average taste Price: moderate portions and reasonable prices, about $40 per person for a fulfilling meal

Highlights: ribeye Even though this place is a bit outside of LA's Koreatown, it's absolutely worth it for the quality of their ribeye. The ribeye is cooked perfectly, tender and juicy, just melts in your mouth and the portions are very generous--two people can easily eat and still have leftovers! I also recommend trying the beef tartare and marinated short ribs; both are so flavorful. The staff are incredibly nice, giving the place a warm, homey vibe, almost like eating a home-cooked meal at your mom's place. Highly recommended!

Excellent quality. Excellent service. Kind service every time! High quality banchan. Best kimchi stew ! Valet outside doesn't make much sense though. There's no reason for it.

Food was delicious although the menu was limited because ownership was changing hands. I noticed that there was only 1 ONE server doing EVERYTHING! oh my goodness! She was hustling the whole entire time but kept her composure and was such a friendly server. Despite trying to do 20 things all at one time, she gave us the best best service she could despite being the only staff in the front of the restaurant. Ambiance is very and school Koreatown Korean restaurant with lots of decor and beautiful wood carved furniture. I hope new management does the right thing and give this lady more help and give her a dang raise!!!

First of all: The food is absolutely amazing. The portions are big for the price (comparable to other KBBQ restaurants in LA) & the banchan is amazing. The service was phenomenal. The workers are truly so kind and so exceptional. I haven't felt this kind of service from a K-town restaurant in a very long time! I'll be bringing my friends here for the holidays!

Chung Ki Wa is my absolute favorite Korean restaurant in Los Angeles. I've been coming here for 30-35 years. The food is high quality. The service is outstanding. The restaurant is clean. The food is super tasty. Yuk Hwe. Korean style raw beef served with a raw egg, lemon, Asian pear, cucumbers. I've tried this dish here for my first time 30 years ago and have been hooked. They have the best Yuk Hwe in Los Angeles. Grade: A+ We ordered Set A from the menu. We chose marinated galbi. This was two generous pieces of high quality galbi on the bone. When cooking, it grilled perfectly and cut easily (tender). Grade. A We also chose beef brisket and tongue. The brisket was sliced perfectly and was tasty! High quality meat. Grade. A The tongue was super delicious! It was high quality pieces and when cooked it had a nice tender chew to it. Great flavor. Grade A+ Service was absolutely outstanding. Three ladies worked hard in unison to provide great customer service. Service Grade: A+ One thing that stood out to me during our meal was the the utensils were clean and new. The scissors that they provide to cut meats during your meal was sharp and cut the meat well. Other restaurants have cheap and dull cutlery. Overall impression: A+

Then guy who told the girl to seat us was just standing around d chit chatting with another employees for about 15 minutes before he even came to our table. He never even introduce himself. He just took our order. Another 20 mins came by before our food was served. OUR FOOD WAS ROOM TEMPERATURE. Short Rib was ok. The macaroni was stale and OLD! It was dry and not fresh! We asked for extra BBQ sauce and that didn't arrive for another 15 mins. We had to wave down another employee to try to get the sauce to us. I wouldn't recommend this place! Horrible service. Didn't even come around to see if we needed anything or if everything was good or not. We came here around 1:30pm on 3/16. The restroom was also out of paper towels and soap from the soda dispenser. Poor quality food! Glad I tried it, so I know to not come back again!

Every Filipino swears their food is better at home and I'm sure it may be, but we need to appreciate places like this that put our cuisine out there and make it this good! I was very impressed with the flavors and I absolutely loved that they served the bibinka similar to a cornbread because it works! I never thought to eat bibinka with savory foods because it's normally a dessert to me, but it is definitely the icing! All the meats were definitely tasty, but the star that made these proteins pop was the vinegar! My youngest said that's just me being Filipino because he said it didn't need the vinegar, but trust me... make sure to use that vinegar. I can probably drink the vinegar because it's that good! The restaurant is nicely decorated with beautiful cultured decoration that remind you of the homeland. We love coming to restaurants like this because it helps us connect through delicious foods and culture and find our identity. The woman serving us was super nice and on top of everything. The service was super fast. She didn't bug us and knew how to interact when she needed to and definitely deserves some recognition. If you're in the area then please check this place out!

Such a nice option when you want something a little different without going across town. We ordered the coconut beef adobo, pork ribs, and the cornbread bibingka. The coconut beef adobo was definitely the standout for me. It kind of reminded me of Bicol express with a slight tanginess. Super flavorful and really good with steamed rice. The pork ribs were not your typical saucy, sweet, fall off the bone type. These were more dry style with a bark that can be a little tough, but the meat itself was still juicy underneath. The cornbread bibingka was also really good. It felt like the perfect mix of classic cornbread and bibingka, slightly sweet and soft, and the sugar on top was a nice touch. Portions were solid too. My husband and I had enough leftovers for the next day. Overall, really glad we finally got to try it, and we would definitely love to try more of their dishes someday.

Another thing I like -- though it might not be for everyone -- is that you get to cook your own meat. I prefer my meat done a certain way, so it's nice having that control, and everyone can cook it to their own preference. I do wish they let us know about the included miso soup wasn't vegetarian at first because I had to switch it for the seaweed salad later but at least the staff were very accommodating. Back in the day, you had to get there early because the place STAYED PACKED, and their ribs were THEE reason to go. They were hands down some of the best ribs I ever had as a kid. They put me on. Fast forward 15-20 years later, and today was my first time coming back since my teenage years. I tried calling ahead to place an order, but couldn't get through. Honestly, that didn't surprise me because Woody's was always busy. I figured it was still the same old Woody's. Then I pulled into the parking lot around 6 PM on a Thursday. Immediately, there was parking available. That alone felt odd. No line. Plenty of parking. Not a single customer inside. That should have been my first sign. We ordered beef ribs, sliced brisket, mac and cheese, and dessert. They were out of the banana pudding, so we settled for peach cobbler. The total was around $50, which isn't bad for dinner for two. The excitement really started to hit when we got home and opened everything up. Unfortunately, that's when reality set in. The mac and cheese was terrible. Completely flavorless, watery, and mushy. The pasta was so overcooked it practically fell apart and blended together like baby food. It tasted old and had absolutely no seasoning or richness whatsoever. First and last time ordering that. Next was the brisket. The slices were gray, dry, and looked like they'd been sitting around for a while. I took one bite and immediately said, "Absolutely not." Another disappointment. But I wasn't too worried yet because I came for one thing: THE RIBS. The flavor was actually still there. The sauce and seasoning reminded me of the Woody's I remembered. BUT THE TEXTURE... A completely different story. The ribs weren't tender, weren't juicy, and definitely weren't falling off the bone. They were tough enough that I found myself working for every bite. At that point, the empty parking lot, empty dining room, and lack of lines made a lot more sense. By the end of the meal, I ended up rinsing the remaining ribs off so my dog could enjoy them as a chew toy. What hurts most isn't the bad meal--it's seeing what was once a legendary BBQ spot become a shadow of what it used to be. I almost wish I hadn't come back because it tarnished some really great childhood memories for me. I don't enjoy leaving negative reviews, but I also believe in being honest. Maybe I caught them on a bad day, but based on this experience, Woody's is not the Woody's I remember, and unfortunately, I won't be returning. If it's any consolation, the cobbler was okay. But not worth going out of my way for.

Got here probably 20 minutes before opening on a Saturday and the line was already decently long. But it goes pretty quickly, was able to order within 20 minutes once it opened at 11 am. Obviously being my first visit here, had to unload the clip! Got 1 lb Brisket (Moist), 1 lb Pork Ribs, 1/4 lb Pulled Pork, both the Jalapeño Cheddar Sausage and Poblano Queso Oaxaca Sausage, 1/4 lb Turkey Breast, a whole Beef Rib for meats. All the meats were so good. Top picks are the brisket, beef rib, and surprisingly the turkey. But honestly, everything was at minimum above average. I'd rate all of these meats against some of the best spots I've been to in Texas. Also got Texas Chili, Red Potato Salad, Mac N Cheese, and Pork Belly Kimchi Fried Rice for sides. I gotta say, these sides really remind me of some of the top places I've been to in Texas. I don't think there is a better place in L.A. when it comes to sides at a BBQ joint. Of course, we also couldn't come here and not get the Thicc Burger! The patty is thick (I mean, obviously), the meat is cooked perfectly medium rare, and the seasoning is on point. You can just tell the quality of this meat on the first bite. I can see why people come just for the burger! Staff here are super friendly! They were really nice at the counter and let us take our time to throw down our massive order. And they were also made sure we were taken care of after delivering our food. Lastly, we even got a nice tour of the smokers! Just a great overall experience here. The place is also way bigger than I thought. Lots of seats inside and outside. I mean yeah of course it will get busy, but I can imagine it helps with the line. Overall, Moo's Craft Barbecue really really impressed me. Loved everything about this place. Definitely need to come back soon!
