Here is how they could have earned a 5 star in my opinion, if they could send a plumber who could identify the problem, provide me a quote, and fix it on-site, they could be a rockstar. They sent someone over with "free of charge"; that's new to me and it is a plus. However, the person who provided the estimation and consultation could not fix my shower tub cartridge/valve issue on site; they had to dispatch another technician to fix it later on. Overall, they are good as a plumber company(Not knowing about the technical skills since I did not pay for their plumbing service). Edgar and his crew did copper repipe for my place. He came on the same day when I called for an appointment to assess the project scope and his price was reasonable (compare to 3 other quotes I received) and also he offers longer warranty and able to start repiping the very next day. His crew worked hard to finish the entire project on time. Pressure tested the system at 120 PSI, handled the city inspection from start to finish (very timely scheduling!!), patched up the walls and ceiling nicely, and was prompt to come back to fix up a few items. Our water heater went out Monday night. On Tuesday, I contacted Knockout Plumbing & Repipe via Yelp, explained the situation, and they immediately scheduled an inspection that afternoon. Jorge (the technician) was very kind, responsible, knowledgeable, and explained the details with patience where we didn't have much knowledge and had quite several questions. Furthermore, the inspection was free. It turned out that our 10yr old water heater needed a replacement, and KPR provided a couple options with very reasonable pricing. After giving some thoughts (and comparing with quotes from other companies), we decided to go with one of their options. Edgar picked up our phone call around 8pm, and could schedule the replacement the first slot in the next morning. Jorge appeared on time (actually even earlier) and finished the work very cleanly. Again, he took my questions very responsibly and kindly explained the details. After finishing the work, Jorge even waited for about 10 minutes outside, asked me to check the hot water, and then left after I confirmed it works well. KP&R had previously given me an estimate of what it would take to replace the mainline. Their estimate was reasonable, and after the latest backup I decided to bite the bullet and get the line replaced. Knockout have the latest equipment for trenchless sewer line replacement, and the whole process was smooth and painless. They did the job quickly, professionally, and with minimal impact on the landscaping. The entire line was replaced within a day, and with inspections etc. the whole thing from first dig to last hole filled was less than a week. I had two rusted sinks in a bathroom that needed replacement. Problem was that an equivalent sink was not available in the market. Edward was very innovative and helpful. I recently had my entire home copper re-piped by Edgar and his company. From the start, I was impressed with their work proposal which clearly itemized and outlined every task to be performed, including sheetrock repair and cleanup. Their work and customer service were also impressive. They were timely, accessible, attentive to detail and their prices were comparable to other estimates I received. They also offer a very generous warranty. A minor problem came up after the job, giving me an opportunity to try out their warranty. Jorge, their head plumber, returned a couple of times and corrected it to my satisfaction. I later got feedback from another plumber who said that Jorge's work is impeccable. Apparently, the adjoining seams of copper pipes need careful cleanup to prevent corrosion later. This is sometimes left undone. In my case, Jorge took the time to clean it up, even though I would not have known the difference. I am more than satisfied with their work. The folks at Knockout plumbing did an excellent job repiping my home, and it really showed that they care about their customers. They provided super competitive pricing, which included services that other companies didn't offer: they do drywall and texturing, so I only had to take care of the paint after, and they also pulled the permit and took care of the inspection. During the initial estimate, Edgar did a great job of explaining the process of the repiping, the materials they used, and the care that went into their work, and especially what they would do to ensure that the floors were not damaged in the process. They scheduled around the city inspection, and the work was done quickly and on time. They were prompt to address any issues that came up as part of their work, and once the work was completed, I found no damage to the floors or anything similar. They really made the process painless and easy, which is quite a big feat for such a big job. A couple of weeks later, I ran into another issue that was unrelated to the work they had performed and I called them up again, Edgar went above and beyond in providing me a very competitive price for that other problem, to make sure I was satisfied with their overall service. Every interaction I had with Knockout was positive, and they really showed that they have excellent customer care. My bypass valve on my (disconnected for servicing) water softener suddenly started leaking in my garage at 7PM. Unfortunately, the only way to stop the leak was to turn off the water to the house for the whole night. After sending out a Yelp request the next morning, there were several responses but Marlene from Knockout was quick to offer technician availability that day. Even though Jorge was already on a job, he was able to finish and get to my house in an hour! He assessed the issue and explained that the valve is now out of code. Putting in new piping to meet code was more expensive but there was the added feature of not having to turn off the water to the entire house! The estimate was expensive but Jorge and his manager worked with me to lower the cost a bit (I am a senior). Jorge quickly got the necessary part and spent a couple hours (in the very hot weather) to finish a great re-pipe and valve job. I had running water again! Jorge did good work, was friendly and polite during the whole job. Footnote: it turned out that the old valve is needed for the old water conditioner. I called Knockout the next day and Marlene was actually willing to drive to my house to drop off the old valve! I really appreciate the friendly and courteous service at Knockout (it really matters these days!) and will definitely consider them again for my plumbing needs. read more

Extremely impressive customer service. We had a clogged drain, and a technician came to fix it. It then appeared to be fine. However, the clog returned that evening after showers were taken. Edgar, who owns the company, came out himself later that same evening. He cleared the clog again, and found that some old cast-iron pipes were part of the problem. He sent four workers out on a Saturday to replace the old pipes. All of the work was done in a very timely manner, which was much appreciated.
