I recently had my entire home copper re-piped by Edgar and his company. From the start, I was impressed with their work proposal which clearly itemized and outlined every task to be performed, including sheetrock repair and cleanup. Their work and customer service were also impressive. They were timely, accessible, attentive to detail and their prices were comparable to other estimates I received. They also offer a very generous warranty. A minor problem came up after the job, giving me an opportunity to try out their warranty. Jorge, their head plumber, returned a couple of times and corrected it to my satisfaction. I later got feedback from another plumber who said that Jorge's work is impeccable. Apparently, the adjoining seams of copper pipes need careful cleanup to prevent corrosion later. This is sometimes left undone. In my case, Jorge took the time to clean it up, even though I would not have known the difference. I am more than satisfied with their work. I had two rusted sinks in a bathroom that needed replacement. Problem was that an equivalent sink was not available in the market. Edward was very innovative and helpful. He suggested replacing the shelf and piping that goes with the sink. The folks at Knockout plumbing did an excellent job repiping my home, and it really showed that they care about their customers. They provided super competitive pricing, which included services that other companies didn't offer: they do drywall and texturing, so I only had to take care of the paint after, and they also pulled the permit and took care of the inspection. During the initial estimate, Edgar did a great job of explaining the process of the repiping, the materials they used, and the care that went into their work, and especially what they would do to ensure that the floors were not damaged in the process. They scheduled around the city inspection, and the work was done quickly and on time. They were prompt to address any issues that came up as part of their work, and once the work was completed, I found no damage to the floors or anything similar. They really made the process painless and easy, which is quite a big feat for such a big job. A couple of weeks later, I ran into another issue that was unrelated to the work they had performed and I called them up again, Edgar went above and beyond in providing me a very competitive price for that other problem, to make sure I was satisfied with their overall service. My bypass valve on my (disconnected for servicing) water softener suddenly started leaking in my garage at 7PM. Unfortunately, the only way to stop the leak was to turn off the water to the house for the whole night. After sending out a Yelp request the next morning, there were several responses but Marlene from Knockout was quick to offer technician availability that day. Even though Jorge was already on a job, he was able to finish and get to my house in an hour! He assessed the issue and explained that the valve is now out of code. Putting in new piping to meet code was more expensive but there was the added feature of not having to turn off the water to the entire house! The estimate was expensive but Jorge and his manager worked with me to lower the cost a bit (I am a senior). Jorge quickly got the necessary part and spent a couple hours (in the very hot weather) to finish a great re-pipe and valve job. I had running water again! Jorge did good work, was friendly and polite during the whole job. Footnote: it turned out that the old valve is needed for the old water conditioner. I called Knockout the next day and Marlene was actually willing to drive to my house to drop off the old valve! Extremely impressive customer service. We had a clogged drain, and a technician came to fix it. It then appeared to be fine. However, the clog returned that evening after showers were taken. Edgar, who owns the company, came out himself later that same evening. He cleared the clog again, and found that some old cast-iron pipes were part of the problem. He sent four workers out on a Saturday to replace the old pipes. All of the work was done in a very timely manner, which was much appreciated. We had toilet and bathroom clogged over the weekend. I called Knockout Plumbing for the help, left a voicemail. Got a text immediately and got a call within 10 minutes. I talked to Edgar and explained what's the problem. He and his crew came within a couple of hours and did the snake for the sewage pipe. He told me at that time that this pipe is very very old and we would have to replace it and the problem would happen again. And as he mentioned the next day we had the same problem. He came back again next day did the snake again, put the video camera inside the pipe, showed me exactly where the problem was, where the pipe was completely broken, tree roots were gone in the sewage pipe and bathroom tissues and other stuff were getting clogged in those roots. We scheduled the date to replace the whole sewage pipe. Edgar did all the work with whatever needs to be done with the city. He and his crew came on time as per schedule and replaced the whole pipe without any damage to the house. I'm very satisfied with his work, his honesty and his expertise. He and his crew are very professional and know what they're doing. They did all the work and got everything to city code.
