We gave up and paid for our parking since time is money. There's nice grass and trees area to set up towels and to sunbathe, relax, etc. There's also room on the sand areas below that as well. The waters were really pretty and the waves weren't so big when we were there. Absolutely gorgeous. Peaceful spot, good areas to walk around as well. Would come back here to enjoy it more when I can.

From there you walk towards the right through some tall grass and onto the beach. The last few steps are rocky and a little bumpy. The beach itself is absolutely gorgeous. The waves are pretty strong here and I don't recommend swimming in the water unless you're an expert. We watched the sunrise and a flurry of birds come in and dine on guppies right in front of us. The only downside to this beach is that inside the sand there are several sand-colored rocks buried and your feet will eventually bump into them. Everyone in the family scraped their feet at least once or smashed their toes into what they thought was be a pile of sand. I recommend wearing shoes up until you get here and even when exploring.

I always have the best time with dive Oahu and now they offer more experiences with different dive sites!!!! So go and check it out!!!! This boat harbor has easy parking a restrooms to use!! and if you are lucky you may get a chance to see their resident tiger shark!

They have pet turtles on the farm and lots of picnic tables to relax. I frequent North Shore a lot and never noticed this farm. They rent kayaks and stand up boards. They also sold food but I wasn't sure what was gluten free. Everyone was friendly and made us feel welcomed! Would recommend but check the hours I noticed it was limited.

Popular picture spot for the beach photographers, mostly shooting family shots, especially at sunset. Parking all costs money in this area you're best off parking by Monkeypod the restaurant nearby. Can't remember the cost but it's like $8-10 for 3 hours. At least one good spot in the 4 seasons lagoon area to wash of your feet from the sand (foot wash station). It's also called Lagoon 1 or Kohola Lagoon.

Parking is tough here as the only official parking lot is small. Thankfully we were staying close by and was able to walk here. The lagoon has lots of tropical fish and is fairly shallow where you can stand in most of the spots. Decent amount of beach sand area to lay out your towels and catch some sun.

The day arrived for the lesson and the kids were super eager. After meeting their instructors, we took a short walk to the beach. Everything was explained to us. We were all on the same page as far as making sure the kids understood what they're going to do, and my apprehension was put at ease. The two older kids (ages 9 and 8) were totally having the time of their lives. They rode tandem with the instructors and were surfing as if they'd been doing this forever by the end of their session. The little one (6 years old) had a little bit of a mishap. As he paddled out to ride a wave with his instructor, he wiped out - waves all over him, surfboard in the air, exactly what I had been anguishing over. My son and his instructor both recovered. The instructor tried getting him back on the board, but he wasn't having it anymore. The instructor brought him back to us to shore. We tried coaxing him back to surf, but fear already set in. Even my daughter's instructor tried getting him on the board with them, but he refused. Nevertheless, the experience was really cool. The instructors were relaxed and patient. They gave us great photo opportunities. The best part was the two older children were inspired to go out and surf some more.

We live here and often have visitors, we thought we found our spot to bring friends but this time we were wrong. 1. When I called, they said they were short staffed so they would only be open 11-3, totally get it. It's a small business and would love to support them but thought that was weird to preface a customer with " yeah you can rent but we are barley open today" 2. When we got there Roger seemed accommodating, we rented for 2 hours, but he asked us to return closer to 3 because he had to bring guests back to their hotel. We didn't need or want the extra hour but again obliged to help a small business we had young children with us and knew they wouldn't hold interest, plus it was pretty windy for the little dudes. 3. When my husband went to bring the items back Roger was 40 minutes late! So we waited an extra hour to turn in the rentals and then an additional 40 minutes waiting on Roger. 4. Then i realized my card was charged an extra $54.00. Attempted to communicate with the business via their 2 phone numbers and email... took a week after countless voicemails etc. 5. When i finally got a call back they said they undercharged us and fixed their mistake. Fine, understood. However, a notification would have been nice since i signed for the amount upon rental agreement. I just found this whole thing so unprofessional and disorganized. I was pretty upset we had to intention of doing business here again and sending others.

Several years ago, I was fortunate to swim next to 3 of them turtles near the rocks. This time, I only saw one of them and it's still an amazing experience.

When driving along the Leeward coast of Oahu, it's hard not to marvel at the beauty of the…read moremountains on your right, and the long stretches of ocean on your left. There are countless state and city parks on this side of the island, and one of our favorites is Maili Beach Park. It's a long green stretch of land with palms lining the coast. Parking is ample with various entrances into each lot. They have restroom facilities as well as outdoor exercise equipment. The grass areas are big and flat, perfect for outdoor gatherings to set up tents and room to play. The beach areas here are mostly rocky, not the best for swimming. Be sure to stop here to watch the sunset!
