One of my gfs and I picked up food here yesterday for lunch. We checked out this place in the beginning of February after we ate at Desert Moon. It was super busy in February and so we were glad that they're still open. We had the combination special of chicken, beef and ground beef mine with sides of babagnosh and fries. My gf had her's with babagnosh and salad. Our meals came with pita bread. We also had baklava for dessert. The meats were tender and seasoned well. Fries were still were and crispy when got to our park designation in Huntington Beach. This place provided us with plenty of food that we had leftovers. The food is superb and the flavors are full and appetizing. We ordered the sarma beyti with beef wrapped in lavash bread. It was amazing, the ground meat is well seasoned but not spicy. The yogurt sauce give a rich full complimentary taste to the meal. We also hot Al Nazik a beef tri tip seasoned and marinated served on top of eggplant puree, it was glorious. We also had a flat bread with chicken and kakalval cheese, it was so good. The whole dinner is a gourmet experience without being pretentious just focused on the meal. Koftegi (Turkish eatery) and Al Sanabel (Lebanese bakery) are combined into a cozy-looking restaurant in Little Arabia (Anaheim). Wish I had done my research a little better and had been more adventurous with my turkish boat choices, but I was pleased with my Kashkaval (cheese) and Turkish Soujuk pide for a solid $8.09 w/tax. Quick Tips: -In a large plaza with plenty of parking. They're also open EARLY everyday. -Lots of seating only inside. Tight but not unbearable. Four 5tops, six 4top booths, an 8top and a 9top. Rug-like seat cushions (I'm assuming) are available near the front counter. -Known for their affordable Turkish pide (pizzas) but you should get their full Turkish breakfast. -Not entirely sure if they still have 20% off Pides on Tues (it isn't advertised) -Turkish food is NOT very spicy, for those who are worried. Taste 4.5/5 Despite not knowing I'd just ordered a slightly more complex pepperoni pizza, my Kashkaval and Soujuk pide was gooey and indulgent. A lil too greasy, but that was from the ingredients I had accidentally agreed upon. The bread was cooked perfectly. And the soujuk wasn't too salty. Price 4/5 $8 is pretty affordable, but I was a little hungry afterwards. Service 3/5 This is where it suffered. As I entered and waited to be seated, several employees walked by me with food and did NOT acknowledge me. After 10 min of still standing at the counter, a lady finally said hi. Food took an understandably 15 min, and it was hot and fresh. Best to come with friends and share plates and Turkish pides, but one will suffice. read more
