Hong Kong style sidewalk rice rolls

This is just down the street from me but I've only ordered from here twice in probably 5 years. I came here for take out. When we arrived, there was only one table occupied. Didn't seem busy at all. Weren't greeted when we entered even though someone was at the counter. She was just keeping busy. We ordered at the kiosk and got our number. I sat down at a table since it was pretty empty, and guess what? The lady at the counter spoke to me. Actually she was telling me I could not sit at the table and to go sit in one of the chairs against the wall. She could have asked but instead she took the "tell" approach. But really - I just pulled a chair from one of many empty tables and was spoken to not very nicely. I decided to go outside and wait. 20 minutes pass and I get my food and took it home. I ordered the rice rolls small bites dish and a BBQ pork/roasted duck over rice dinner. The BBQ pork was really dry. The sauce was very light on top and did not soak in the meat. The duck was excellent. The rice rolls were soft and covered in sesame seeds, and they gave a good variety of sauces. Solid 3 or 3.5 star experience due to the interaction with the first staff member and the overly dry pork.

I came here to have a quick lunch with friends and it did not disappoint. I had the shrimp wonton soup, it was very tasty. My friend got the ginger beef and pork fried rice and another friend got the Hainan Chicken meal set. All were delicious. There is a 8% automatic service charge fee. Overall, I would come back.

If you're craving dim sum on a major holiday, good luck with the line pal. The food here hits the spot that I do not deny. Our party ordered the works from sticky rice to shu mai to chicken feet. These dishes were delicious and filled a ferocious appetite. However the wait was over an hour and our number got skipped. Not only that but the interior of the restaurant has gotten quite dated. I cannot comment on the cleanliness of the restaurant carpet but I will say at least the employees are very responsive and will get right with you if any issues rise. Overall, not an experience worth the wait but we got our food.

Food - 4 stars Service - 2 stars Ambiance - casual Food is good if you have to to wait. The won ton soup noodles had lots of shrimps and the soup favors were on point. Noodle texture is chewy like the HK style. It would have been a solid 4 stars if management can coordinate more staffing Servers were doing their best with 3 pp from busing tables to take out orders We waited 45 minute for a take out order Kitchen staff continued forgetting orders If you want to dine here, plant lots of time

Stacked dishes due to poor service

Not worth it. Horrible service and quality of food has gone down. I came in and went to front to get a number. The person at the front served a person before me. I saw they had same number of people and they were seated before me. I then had to wait 15 minutes for someone to get my order. Another table got seated after me. They got to place their order and got their food before my group. The waiter checked on all the other tables multiple times but not mine. We sat for 30 minutes before we got food. This is insane for a dim sum place. They usually want you to eat fast so they can get next group in. The fried dishes took over an hour. But the same dish got served to other tables 20 minutes before our table. We had to remind our server of our dishes. The servers never removed our empty dish plates and steaming containers. We started to see how high we could stack them as a joke. But servers never removed them. Last dish was fried taro puff. We again had to remind the waiter that we were waiting for our finial dish. When it came, My wife asked him to cut the puffs in half. This is something they will typically do. The server said no. When I said "excuse me" he said they don't cut it and it's better to eat it like it is. I then asked for the manager. The manager agreed the server should have not said. And that cutting the fried taro puff is something they typically do. I guess the server was just too lazy to do it. I then showed the manager that we had been using napkins from my child's diaper bag since the server never checked in on our table. No refill for tea or water. Overall, this was the worst service I had in years. I will be eating elsewhere. You should also. There are many other restaurants in the area. And the other Koi palace locations are better and have better service.

I can't believe I've never been here before and I come to the Ulferts center quite often. For lunch, I ordered the roasted duck and bbq pork rice plate with a side of hot milk tea. There was plenty for lunch and dinner! The roasted duck was nice and salty and I loved the plum sauce on the side. BBQ pork was flavored well and tender. Service was fast and attentive. Parking lot can get busy during the lunch hour.

Good and fast service. Food was good for being so quick and easy. You can also order at the kiosk at the front for to go orders. There is also a QR menu at each table. The pork chop rice had a good amount of meat and was slightly different than the one you'd get at Koi Palace upstairs. There are peas and sliced tomatoes. I prefer the Koi Palace version, but for $18 at express, it is good enough. For the string beans, it was tasty and cooked well but perhaps a tad salty if eaten without rice.

Good Chinese food located in Dublin. It's almost fast food-like since our order came to us quickly, just after sitting down. Food was really good and tasty, for what we ordered (see pics). Came here on a hangover morning and this food hit the spot!

Just had to come back here and add that I love their Seafood over pan fried crispy noodles. I've ordered it three times in the past month and a half. It's become a craving with some steamed rice. The seafood is shrimp, fish, calamari, scallops, and there is the perfect amount of veggies.

Recommend this place only for its delicious food. Especially like the baked dishes. Service is always unfriendly, fast and just normal Koi service. The last time I came was years ago, the service attitude has not improved at all. Ambiance is casual, seats not comfortable and place is small.

18% charge for 3 people with no service!!

Such a disappointment. They claimed to provide good food and services but completely untrue. Food was mediocre, services was horrible. Waiter didn't even want to be there. You have to ask for everything. Waited 20 minutes for an egg tart and then they said it will be another 5mins. Then the bill came with 18% service fee for 3 people!!! Needless to say, this is the last time for us. Not recommended.

We would come here for HK food whenever we were shopping in the outlet. The place remains the same: comfy and quiet. We were greeted by the server when we entered. The Hainan Chicken tasted a bit lighter than before (about a year ago, it last came), the soup is smaller, but the rice is still as good. Roasted duck is really good. Chicken katsu is a big portion, good value. We come back as usual.

This sector be my go to place for Cantonese bbq in Dublin. After a long absence, I can understand it. There's a QR scan code on the table to browse and order. I had the same order error as in the past by ordering the bbq combo plate, a trio of bbq cuts over rice. I naturally assumed that roast duck would be part of the trio but in reality it includes soy chicken, roast pork (pork belly), and char Siu. The star of the trio was the roast pork but sadly the pieces were small. The char Siu was the weak player as it was dry and bland. The soy chicken was alright. Also included was soy braised hard boiled egg that was alright. The portion was quite small, it made the plate look large. lol The service was friendly and relatively attentive. My tea was refilled frequently. The ice coffee milk tea was good. An16% service fee was automatically added to the check. I guess in the future I would order specifically roast duck to insure that I get what I really wanted or something completely different.

Unfortunately, my recent visit was incredibly disappointing. The food quality has gone downhill, the prices have become excessive, and what bothered me most was feeling misled by the billing. A cucumber special was advertised at $5.95, but when the bill arrived, the charge was $14.90. On top of that, an automatic gratuity was added to a table of only three people with one of them being 4 year old. She barely even ate with tea price per person. I don't mind paying premium prices for great food and service, but I do expect transparency. Many of the dim sum items also felt extremely overpriced, $9 for two egg tarts is hard to justify and sadly they weren't worth that. Felt like it was not fresh. It's unfortunate because this used to be a place I genuinely looked forward to visiting. Sadly, I don't see myself returning anytime soon.

The pan-fried dumplings had a wonderful texture with a flavorful filling, while the bean curd rolls were packed with savory goodness. The siu mai were plump, fresh, and exactly what you'd hope for from a quality dim sum restaurant. Overall, the food, service, and atmosphere exceeded expectations. Before this, my fav in the bay area was I-Shanghai Delight and honestly I think this might rival it. Filling and soup were both savory and light and incredibly umami. Maybe the wrapper at I-Shanghai is a bit thinner but honestly not a huge difference to me. Would def recommend if you like this style. Braised minced eel 5/5 - OMG this was the highlight of the meal for me, and I think only ppl who like this eel dish would understand. I honestly have not found good Shanghainese stir fried eel anywhere else in the Bay area. Chef Zhao's version was good once upon a time but then the most recent time we went, it tasted weird and not fresh. I-Shanghai Delight's was also no good (not fresh). This is the one dish that I will keep coming back here for. Razor clams with ginger and scallion 5/5 - This was also a crowd fav. I don't love clams usually but these were big and meaty and tender, and the sauce is what you would expect. Highly recommend Stewed yellow croaker soup with pickles 3/5 - This was ok and could've been better. Flavor of the soup was good but I think the fish tasted a bit overcooked/dry and could've been more tender. Shredded pork with wild rice shoot 4/5 - This was fine and a very traditional Chinese dish. Nicely done but nothing amazing. Red bean pancake 4/5 - This was a good dish, just not what I expected. I like the red bean pancakes where the pancake part is more doughy while this was like VERY crispy. But the flavor was good Lastly, the lady who took care of our table was SO nice and so chatty and so patient, despite the usual chaos and indecision of large family gatherings. She also packed up all the food for us and even gave suggestions for surrounding Chinese supermarkets. All in all, it was a really pleasant experience with good food and I will def be going back for more

We took one of their specials which was a spicy fish dish. We asked for extra spicy and boy, did…read morethey deliver. Holy cow. And the dish was the size of Texas. Great flavor though - they coated the flounder and fried it first, then put all that sauce on along with vegetables. The other dish we got was a stir fry green bean dish that was done well, crisp tender with a flavorful sauce. The restaurant needs a little TLC, the furniture is aging but overall nice ambience. Service was great, reminiscent of the service you would get in China, which is much more polite and hospitable than what you get in the states.
