Love their selection of craft beers! I ordered kamikaze fries and it was ready very quickly but it was room temperature, borderline cold. I ate probably half of it. The next day my stomach hurt so I am wondering if the food wasn't kept at a safe temperature and that's probably why I got sick. Maybe their other dishes are prepared fresh and come out hot but a really big turn off for my first time trying this brand after hearing good things about it and then becoming sick after eating room temp food. read more

The location at valley fair is very modern looking and definitely sticks out with its very sleek displays and vibrant colors. I've become a huge fan of there fried chicken wings. First time trying this place because I've seen good reviews about how delicious it is and I bought the Korean spicy buffalo and kamikaze fries. My opinion, i didn't like both of them because the meat on the wings was way too sweet and on the kamikaze fries the texture of the meat that was given on my order looked and tasted like leftover bits of meat scraped off the grill. I also asked for to go but it was served to dine-in, which I didn't mind. I also bought kimchi, but it was kimchi bits which i was sad since I'm a big fan of kimchi and thought they would sell the ones they put on the bowls. Not sure if the cashier girl is having a bad day or she was just out of it, but she pretty much made mistakes a cashier can possibly make, super slow when there weren't even many people waiting, missing order, and mostly importantly give you the wrong change, she didn't even look at how much I gave her and just insert some random amount that appears in her head and gave me the change according to that which is much less, so be careful with your money here Food is too overpriced, 8.95 for a small burger and nothing else, the quality and taste are not worth the money. read more

Heard a lot about the hype of Koja since it was the food truck and finally tried it with my friends last week. We got an original koja (which was beef short ribs), a chicken bowl and a side of kamikaze fries to try. First impression: the place looks neat! People are friendly and welcoming. The food: The koja: the short rib koja was amazing. I love the rice patty which is crispy outside but it's not dried or hard to chew. The marinated meat was super tender and tasty! (5/5) The bowl: My friend likes spicy food so she got the chicken bowl and she really enjoyed it. She said it was not extremely spicy but spicy enough to enhance the taste of the chicken. (4/5) The fries: These fries got me full but keep eating! It looks like waffle fries but the sauce on it was amazing. They also but kimchi and ground beef on it so it's a good amount for a side. (5/5) Overall: 9/10: everything was good and amazing, just 1 point deduct because it was a bit hard for me to find a seat nearby the place on the weekend so definitely will come again during a weekday! read more

The food court at Valley Fair is VERY nice so if you haven't been there lately it's definitely worth checking out. We decided to try Koja Kitchen for something different. My husband had the poke bowl which he really enjoyed. It included "the best rice I have ever tasted" (quote from my husband). I had the beef short rib bowl which was full of flavor but contained too much rice. (I, unlike my husband, was not as excited by the large scoop of starch!). There are some other interesting choices on the menu so I'd like to make a return trip. read more

The Beef Bowl and the Chicken bowl was very bad to borderline awful. Both the chicken and the beef were over cooked and was of a very cheap cuts. Covered with hot sauce (probably to cover up the bad meat), piled with salad (to make it look as if your getting a huge serving), rice was old and dry. I dont know about the other food that was ordered as I did not taste any of it, after I lost my apatite. I would not recommend this place to anyone, I will never eat here even if it was free. This place is really good for a small treat, especially if you like the sweet flavoring in meat, then your in for a treat, it's really crunchy, like it's been fried almost, the kamikaze fries are soggy , basically they put a lot of stuff and sauces on the fries that basically overtake the fries, the flavors in the kamikaze doesn't really mix well, I wouldn't say it's worth the price because it resembles something you'd probably get at a food truck. When ordering a bowl, you can choose either brown rice or white rice, however, the cashier didn't even tell you or ask you about your choice and just gave you the white rice. The food was great, but I give two stars to this location because of their poor customer service from one of their workers. A woman by the name of Lauren gave my family and I horrible service. Not once did she look us in the eye and overall, was very unapproachable. Honey, if you don't like your job, then quit. Don't ruin other people's experience with your bad attitude. On the other hand, Christine was wonderful at the register and forewarned my mom that the food might be too spicy for her. My mom ordered her food without the spicy sauce and absolutely loved it. Food is descent for food at the mall, the issue I really had was the head middle-aged lady here (guessing she's either manager or owner) was being a douche. She refused to replace my order that she got wrong and asked me to purchase what I originally wanted again after they messed up.
