Michael and Chris at the bar were wonderful! We came in for a cocktail on a nice day and sat at the indoor/outdoor bar. The staff was friendly and it's so nice to be able to people watch in Avalon.

Superb! This restaurant is situated in a very upscale neighborhood with high-end condos and buildings and looked very nice and welcoming. The restaurant is huge and spacious and very clean. The restaurant is among a big complex of businesses, including the movie theater and a giant fountain. The ambience was really pleasant. They have an open bar area, where you can sit inside the restaurant and also outside the restaurant. You can also walk around with alcohol purchased at the restaurant. The service was really great. The bartender and the host were both very gregarious and upbeat. The bartender maintained all of my needs refilled my water checked in on my meal satisfaction. It was overall great. I ordered the usual Kona items I always get, which is the angry edamame, the Kona margarita, and the cilantro lime chicken. Everything tasted amazing. Everything was hot fresh and delicious. I could eat this all day, everyday--so amazing. Highly recommended.

We came here on a Friday night after the concert at the Ameris, since it's one of few places open late. I was surprised to see it was pretty busy at 11pm. But once we saw they their late night happy hour, that kinda explained it all. They have a great happy hour menu! We got couple of things from that menu.

This was our second time here. Overall great experience. We had a chef's tasting which was really good. I b had the lime chicken with rice which was so flavorful. We had meatballs served on top of mashed potatoes, pretzel bites, and avocado rolls as appetizers. They do have a kids menu here, and our crew grabbed the bento boxes and Mac & cheese skillets. We of course had the butter cake for dessert...one of our favorites and is immediately devoured. I love coming because the vibe is always on point. We've come on Sundays, and the game is typically playing on t he screens. They also have little pads at the tables that have games on them, and this keeps the kids occupied the entire time. Great addition for families. Our server was great! Our food cane out on time, we didn't have to wait long, and he got everything we needed correctly. Highly suggest a Sunday here, not as busy and is always perfect for us.

I walked countless times by this place, but have never stopped by, and honestly, I don't really know why... until today. First of all, they have a great Social Hour... thy includes items from $3, $6 and $9. Varied section for all. Second, the restaurant is very chic and modern, perfect for meetings or date night. On this occasion we were there for a quick meeting, which worked out great because it was quiet enough to have a conversation. Finally... the food. Everything we ordered tasted great. The cheeseburger and fries were the highlight. Though the patty was a bit smaller than i anticipated, it was definitely flavorful. The chicken fried rice was also really good once we added some soy sauce and Tabasco. The chicken bbq flatbread was also phenomenal. The shrimp taco however... was not all that great. Actually, I'm not even sure it had shrimp in it. It was mostly cabbage or something... All and all, this is a great spot to try at the Avalon. I'm for sure coming back to try a few more things from the Social Hour menu.

The server was friendly and kind. The food was good overall however it was quite expensive. It is near the concert area so it is nice to hear music while eating.

What made our first visit to Kona Grill so enjoyable was our server, Reggie. Fantastic server, conversationalist, and on point with all his recommendations. A local bestie, who I'm completely head-over-heels in love with (but that's another story), recommended this place, so my only disclaimer is that this review may be slightly skewed by my inner simp. But let's do this: The Macadamia Nut Chicken was uniquely delish. I've had sweet 'n savory but sauces many times in the past, but this take was interesting. I personally recommend mixing their pineapple marmalade on top of their macadamia sauce, and add a SLIGHT dash of soy sauce to bring out the best. I loved this dish, and while I normally dislike green beans, absolutely devoured their sweet chili version that accompanied the chicken. It's a must try! The veggie sushi roll was on point, which I didn't think was possible without fish, but apparently they've figured it out, so it's an easy order on future visits. I'd never had soy brussel sprouts before, but you know what? It works really well, and will likely be a staple must-have in the future. Love the place, the staff, the ambiance, and the food so far. I'll be back!

My wife and I went for the 1st time on Friday. We were concerned because of a lot of the Yelp reviews. However I must say it was a pleasant surprise. The staff was extremely nice, Imani is outstanding! Inside is also nice, really enjoyed the ambiance. My wife had the sweet chili salmon and I had the lemon penne with chicken. Both dishes were really good. The only reason they didn't get a 5 is because where we sat had a dirty mop smell and I can't wrap my head around the fact that my non alcoholic beer was more expensive that my wife's margarita. All in all pretty good.

Update to my previous review, which is still valid. Food here is really good. Great indoor and outdoor dining options. Service can be hectic during busy times. Here is trick on service, during less busy times enjoy a nice meal inside. On busy weekend nights during concerts, do what we do, order to go and enjoy meal on the patio outside near the fountain. Kona does great job on to go orders. Not to mention, that during busy times all the restaurants at Avalon are swamped. Slightly pricey but worth it. You can thank me later. Enjoy!

The food was outstanding per usual but I had the delight of Justin as my server and he was incredible. Awesome guy. Really really great. Felt easy and at home with him. They really have an excellent staff all around. No nonsense unless you ask for it (in the good way). Justin is an A player. Don't find many of those around these days it would seem. Worth your time and money! And don't be afraid to catch a movie right across the way when you've finished the excellent meal

Visited Kona Grill for an anniversary dinner. Loved the vibe. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. She recommended a bottle of sweet red wine and it was everything. The highlight was definitely the chicken and shrimp lettuce wraps -10/10!

While waiting for my husband to park the car the greeter/waiter let me take a look at the menu. They had bar seats available as well as a closed in patio. I decided to utilize the patio, I told the greeter not to forget about us. lol At the time we went it was not very crowded. There were quite a few people but not overwhelming. There were nice animal pictures on the wall, maybe the head of a bison was there. Lots of Liquor behind the bar on display and part of the decor. The doors were a little decorated for the holiday.Big wooden doors. The patio did have televisions there but they were low so if I wanted to hear I couldn't. There was a football game on so we kinda looked at it from time to time. Even though it was my birthday the restaurant didn't do anything for me. No deserts, no happy birthday, no cheers!!, nothing like that. When celebrating a birthday I look forward to small things like that if a restaurant offers it. I ordered a cucumber martini. Didn't like it so we know we wont be ordering that again. The food was ok, nothing to complain about there. I don't know why I didn't take a picture but I had the B&B Burger with smoked bleu cheese. I would come back when I am in the area. I was happy that our waiter did not forget about us during our time there.

Coming into it, around early dinner time hour, it was fair to say a slow evening for a Saturday. This provided us a fair chance to be able to not feel rushed during this experience. Server and food runners were on point. Server knew the menu and what to suggest as popular meals and what his favorites were. He also informed us that food was made from scratch and the ribs were already sold out! Bummer as that would've been a go to choice! The restaurant it self seemed cleaned and a sleek look to it. We chose 2 fried chicken meals and steak and frite. These dishes were to brag about 100%, wish I could've met the head chef and supervisor on shift to let them how wonderful the food was and that the staff have great personality and professional! This chicken meals were beyond what could've fool me as a homemade chicken made by someone's grandma! The steak was cooked to perfection that could've melted in your mouth. Due to my son's birthday, the server offered a complimentary dessert for him to have! I recommend this place or their other locations 10/10!

The atmosphere felt like a casual new age, better, slightly more upscale and elegant version of Applebees, if that makes sense. Homey vibe but elegantly casual? Off rip I ordered a sweet tea which was phenomenal. It tasted like it has a slight peach undertone to it, and it was the right amount of sweet. I ordered the bacon wrapped shrimp as my appetizer and the fried chicken with mashed potatoes and brussels (I dont like coleslaw). I was told the bacon wrapped shrimp was a new menu item. For $19? They were cool. The fried chicken was really good. It was still steaming hot inside, when I took my first bite. The chicken was tender and had a good crunch to it. The brussels were okay. I typically like a more sweet glaze on my brussels but they did the job. I liked the mashed potatos, they were a little runny; the gravy made up for that though. I'm not a biscuit person but the biscuit that came with this meal was very soft, fluffy, moist, and had butter throughout. It was a bummer the only choices of hot sauce available were Tabasco and Cholula. I usually like Texas Pete, Crystal, or Louisiana hot sauce in my chicken. I WILL say, the monkey bread was SOOOOO good. So soft, warm, with apples and vanilla ice cream. If I knew it was this good I would have ordered 2 to go. Ultimately everything my was good, I had a great experience, and lots of leftovers.

Their attention to detail is remarkable--they genuinely care that every bite is exactly as it should be, and it shows. We started with the Crisp Spanish Octopus and the mushroom ravioli. Julio also suggested adding an order of bread to soak up the incredible sauces, and I'm so glad he did--not a drop was left on the plate. For my entrée, I chose the scallops, and they were cooked perfectly.
