Came here for happy hour. They have a pretty decent selection of small bites, including few sushi rolls. It's definitely not the best sushi I've ever had, but for the price it is pretty good. I also got the pad Thai from their regular menu. Not really that flavorful. I probably wouldn't get again.

We had a birthday dinner at Kona. There was 5 in attendance. Kim our server was excellent. Prompt efficient and attentive service. I had the Sweet & Bleu salad. It was wonderful. Perfect size and not overly dressed. I did not get a picture of all the meals. Everyone said their entrees were prepared perfectly. The cilantro lime chicken and big island ribeye would be recommended. As it was a birthday celebration the birthday person received a chocolate and a butter cake to celebrate. Ddeeelliisshhh. I would recommend Kona Grill. It's a casual dinning experience. Compared to other establishments the wine bottle prices were very reasonable.

It had been sometime since I came to Kona Grill. I stopped by to use my Birthday Gift of $25.00. I order a Las Vegas roll. It was good, presentation was nice.

Really enjoyed this place, my wife and I went out before a concert. I had the Wagyu steak rice and she enjoyed a delicious firecracker sushi roll. It was super chill vibes with some Barbie music in the server was really down to earth and cool to talk to! Thanks for a great night before our show!

We've only been to Kona Grill during happy hour -- and honestly, that's the way to do it. The food has always been solid. We've tried the spicy tuna roll, crab crunch roll, spicy shrimp tempura, avocado egg rolls, macadamia nut chicken, sliders with fries, regular edamame, and angry edamame -- all from the happy hour menu. Everything came out fresh, flavorful, and well-presented. The portions are smaller than the regular menu items, but it makes it easier to order more and enjoy different options. We also ordered the fire dragon roll (tableside fire-finished) off the regular menu -- fun presentation, but the alcohol flavor from the fire overpowered the roll a bit. The happy hour prices make it a great value, and the atmosphere is lively without being too loud. Service has always been quick and friendly for us. Izzy was our server on our most recent visit, and she was very kind and attentive. I've seen mixed reviews about regular dinner service and pricing, so we'll probably stick to happy hour -- it feels like the best time to enjoy Kona Grill.

Came in on a Saturday morning around 11:30am. There were no other tables with people dining in yet. Placed order for take out. Sashimi and sushi order. Prices online and at the restaurant seemed different. At the restaurant seemed cheaper. Got the order ready within minutes. Quick and efficient! All the sushi and sashimi from here were great! Especially Eel Sushi and Eel Sashimi were phenomenal. Slightly crispy on the surface, juiciness and warm eel with the sauce was the best eel I have had since the eel dish I had in Japan earlier this year. Salmon, tuna and yellowtail were also good but the eel stood out! The only down side is the price. Prices are very expensive, basically paying $4.40 per sashimi piece. If it was more affordable, I could see myself coming for sushi/sashimi more often. Four-star rating because of the price.

Chocolate cake and not sure of the name of the other but they were so moist and devine.

My friend and I went during Happy Hour. Waitress Kim was excellent. We got sushi and sliders then ordered surf-n-turf which was enough for two. The green beans and potatos were devine and the steak was cooked to perfection. Then I got 2 desserts on the house for my birthday. Everything was absolutely delicious.

I always enjoy sitting at this bar. It has a nice view of outside, even if it's mostly road. The chicken satay is very good. Happy hour all day every day @ the bar top. Can't beat that deal!

This place was tasty! I went with the lunch sushi and salad. Fast service, good drinks, and good food. I will be back when I'm in the area. Plenty of parking in a huge private lot as well.

I was actually surprised at how empty it was inside for a Friday night. I enjoyed my time there though. Everything was delivered very quickly, plated beautifully, and tasted even better. I wasn't expecting the pretzel bites (not pictured) to come out so crispy but they weren't bad. I really loved the lemon garlic penne. It was delicious!! Would definitely come there again.

Kona is the king of happy hours. They have the best happy hour here. And a late one also! Kona has the best loyalty program as well. They sent me $50 for my birthday! You definitely need to join. Big perks. Food is excellent. Sushi and everything else is delicious. Macadamia chicken is so yummy. The drink menu is expensive as well.

Very expensive and bland. This is my second time here this year and it again falls just below expectations. You can get much better sushi at many authentic sushi restaurant. I tried the steak this time and it was well done instead of my request for medium. I spent almost $100 on two sake drinks and my meal. The atmosphere is very dated. We were there with a big group and even thru they have an app to pay your check they could not split the bill which just creates a hassle for the group.

Stopped in for the late night happy hour after 9pm. We got a spot at the bar pretty quickly. The happy hour is very inclusive and has a ton of options for both food and drink! Great prices and variety. There is a $3, $6 and $9 section on the full page menu. We got a couple rolls, some potstickers, chicken satay and sake bombers. Service was a little slow though even though it wasn't too busy. The bartender was a bit busy chatting with the one other couple he was serving. Seemed they were friends. He was also on his phone a bit but we were able to grab his attention when needed. Sushi was fresh, satay was tender and potstickers were flavorful. Will definitely be back for happy hour!

The sirloin isn't a real steak. It's bits of steaks glued together using a gross gelatin called literally meat glue.

The miso soup came out first and was pretty standard. The Tako Su had large slices of octopus with plenty of cucumbers. It was decent, nothing standout. The gyoza was actually an accidental order because I thought I had ordered shumai. Looking back, I probably should've realized something was off when the server asked if I wanted them steamed or grilled. Ironically, they ended up being one of the better items. I took them home and even cold later on, they were still good. The sashimi appetizer had a nice variety and was probably one of the stronger dishes of the night. Unfortunately, the shumai completely missed the mark. It was very wet -- you can even see it in the photo -- and just not how shumai is supposed to be prepared. Personally, I think Asahi Sushi does this dish far better, including the sauce. The beef bibimbap was also disappointing for me. I love bibimbap served in a scorching hot stone bowl where the rice crisps up and caramelizes at the bottom. This lacked all of that. In my opinion, both Asahi Sushi and Sumo Sushi do bibimbap significantly better. If that's what you're craving, this wouldn't be my recommendation. As for the sushi rolls -- the S n T and White Tiger Roll -- they were just bland. Not terrible, not inedible, but very forgettable. Overall, my experience was okay, but nothing about it stood out enough to make me want to return. The servers were pleasant, but there were no recommendations or guidance offered, and the food never really moved beyond average. I ended up giving this place 2 stars for three main reasons: 1. The servers lacked recommendations or menu guidance. 2. The food overall was bland. 3. There are significantly better sushi options nearby. If you're looking for exceptional sushi, udon, and bibimbap, I'd personally recommend Asahi Sushi instead. It's only about 12 minutes away and, in my opinion, absolutely worth the drive for the quality, presentation, service, and overall experience.

Not really much of an ambiance - it's a very casual place with pretty basic decor. Everyone working there was friendly and our food was brought out to us in a reasonable amount of time. I got the classic tonkotsu ramen and it was really good! The broth was flavorful and complex, the pork was tender, and the egg perfectly jammy. Apparently they make their noodles fresh everyday. The price of a ramen bowl was on par with what I'm used to (~$20 with tax + tip) but the sushi seemed a little pricey. I will have to come back to try it.
