Coming back, they have expanded their menu, and interior has changed a bunch. The food is delicious, still great for a cold cloudy day. Their kimchi is also super delicious.

Kooksoo was OK... it didn't stand out to me. The Lobster Jjamppong was not good. It looks pretty but the taste was not it. The Bibim Kooksoo was also forgettable... I did like the Galbi Jjim. This was my favorite item from what we ordered. We might have just ordered the wrong items.

Service was friendly but I was really underwhelmed by the bulgogi. It was oily and lacked flavor. The Korean flat dumplings were very delicious though! The glass noodles were good and the rice was cooked perfectly. I just really wish the beef had been better quality and more flavor.

Kooksoo's spicy chicken noodle soup is a must. It comes with a mini side of kimchi, and honestly, "yum" is an understatement. Forget Campbell's... this is the real deal: rich, flavorful chicken broth, perfectly shredded chicken, bok choy, mushrooms, onions. Every spoonful is loaded with goodness!! Rain or shine, 100° or 50°, I'll be there for this soup. That's how addictive it is.

KOOKSOO is really good. We're very happy that they were recommended to us because GOOD Korean food is hard to come by these days. My wife ordered the King Ribs Jjamppong combo with Galbi and I ordered the Beef Kooksoo combo with Bulgogi. Both of these decisions were very, very good decisions. The flavor, quality AND quantity of these dishes were top notch. I'm aware that the prices seem pretty high, but you're definitely getting more than what you're paying for. Our server was very helpful and available. The food came and promptly without any compromise to its quality. I really can't think of anything that should prevent you from giving KOOKSOO a visit. It's really good.

Self service iPad. Quiet and not too crowded. I got free dumplings with yelp check in and they were great! Came out hot and generous with the filling. The pork, veggies, and crisp outer shell was a good bite. The stir fry noodles were also really good. I was skeptical about the Parmesan on top but it really brought the dish together. The chewy fresh noodles paired with the nice tender beef. I ate each bite with their house made kimchi which never misses.

ANNYEONGHASEYO Jungkooksoo IMNDIDA!! 방탄!! This food was pretty good but not my style. I wish I liked this food more but it just didn't hit as much. Throw in the fact that my meal was $30 I don't think I'll be coming back just because it's not my style. But if you like this food It would be great for you. The service was really good and the workers were really nice. Ambiance was good too clean restaurant with a nice vibe! :) BANGTAN BOY OUT!

This place is amazing. Food is great. Came out within reason specially during lunch and as always cozy little place with excellent service must try if you're out here in Plano, Texas.

This bulgogi was so good!!! I didn't have anything else on the menu but I will definitely be back for this. The kimchi was amazing, my boyfriend doesn't usually like it but he couldn't get enough of it here. It was very quiet and we were the only two in the restaurant at one point so it seems like this spot is lowkey (for now). Service is fast, you order on a tablet so it's a pretty smooth process.

Staff and servers are fast and welcoming. The food is so good! We always take left over home and the restaurant is small but clean! Everytime we go they're slowly expanding their menu. Super excited to try other dishes when we go back. Pro Tip: don't forget to check in on Yelp! It comes with free dumplings

King Ribs Jjamppong kooksoo is a good standard place for some warm soupy noodles. since their bowls are usually so hefty, i recommend splitting one with a friend. ive tried BEEF KOOKSOO, KING RIBS JJAMPPONG, and STIR FRIED BEEF WITH NOODLES, and GALBI JJIM. my favorite is the classic beef kooksoo. dont get me wrong the other dishes are super yummy, but when you see everyone else eating hot soup, you also get a craving for hot soup. oh also the galbi is a MUST - life is never complete without some. i also love that they are always refilling your kimchi & its one of the better kimchis ive had at restraunts. the ambiance is clean, with some wood elements. honestly the perfect place for people working a 9-5 to eat at.

It is a nice spot to enjoy a meal with friends and family or even on your own. The grilled pork ribs are big, meaty, tender, and juicy. It's glazed in slightly sweet sauce and it has a smoky charred flavor from being grilled. A hearty yummy must try dish when you are here. The bibim naengmyeon or korean spicy cold noodles had a good amount of that spicy sauce mixture (not very spicy if you're worried about that), and it is refreshing with the kimchi and radish. You can even doctor it up with the vinegar and mustard they provide to compliment the dish. The banchan spread includes kimchi, cucumbers, fish cake, salad, and a korean sweet mashed potato. Great bites to pair with the entrees. Overall, the food came out at a reasonable speed, so service is good. Nothing too notable in terms of service and ambiance but the food is good if you want a no frills, simple, hearty korean meal!

The food is consistently great, and when the staff is properly trained, the service is excellent too. The waitress with the toast necklace was honestly amazing and the highlight of our visit. Her communication was perfect. She asked exactly how we wanted the meat cooked, checked in on the pacing of the courses, and adjusted everything when we asked to slow things down. That level of attentiveness is what makes Korean BBQ enjoyable. At Ari, multiple staff members rotate between tables helping out, which is normally fine. Unfortunately, every time the more mature staff member came to our table, things started getting worse instead of better. After we had already explained that we preferred medium rare and wanted a slower pace, she came over, saw a little pink in the meat, turned the fire back on, and cooked it until it was overdone. She also started putting meat directly onto people's plates without asking first. Everyone at our table had different preferences. Some mainly wanted vegetables, our daughter preferred pieces with more fat on the sides instead of the more pink cuts, and some of us simply weren't ready for more food yet. Since we know everyone's preferences best, it would have made much more sense for us to serve the meat ourselves instead of having it automatically placed onto plates. What made it more awkward was that she kept placing food only into my tray and not anyone else's, which confused my wife and made the experience uncomfortable. She also started cooking additional courses before we had even finished the first two, despite us specifically asking to slow the pace down. The side dishes were also noticeably skimpy this visit compared to normal. Usually the portions are at least halfway filled, but this time some came out barely a quarter full. We kept asking for refills, especially for the daikon, and each refill only came with two or three small pieces. At that point it felt strange having to repeatedly ask for something that normally comes reasonably portioned. One suggestion for management: name tags would really help in a restaurant where the staff is actively cooking and interacting with customers. In a professional service environment, it would make communication much easier and more respectful if customers could address employees by name instead of describing them as "the toast necklace waitress" or "the mature lady." Still love Ari overall and will continue coming back. Hopefully this was just an off night and the communication/training issues get addressed.
