The portions are pretty big, but it was all very tasty and very hot. The chopsticks do take some time to get used to because they're metal and kind of heavy. These are my favorite noodles. Every time I go, the noodles are hot and delicious. My kids can't eat spicy yet, so I ordered the chicken knife noodle soup and they loved it. Meal Box A..... so I ordered food on UberEats. Food takes about 50 mins to arrive. Fine. No big deal. When it arrived no utensils. And they missed the soup I ordered. I called them. A girl answers and I explain to her. She said that I didn't order a soup. I did. On my receipt it shows I paid $4.95 for it. On their kitchen tag it doesn't show it. And then no utensils. We have passed by here several times and finally decided to give it a try. The wait staff was very nice and we were seated quickly. The menu is limited (see picture), but it looked pretty good. They don't have fountain drinks, just soda in a can, which is fine. We got the Kimchee when we sat down (I don't like Kimchee, but it looked very nice). We got the fried dumplings free with the coupon from checking in on Yelp, and they were very tasty. I got the beef Kooksoo and my wife got the chicken with noodles. The chicken soup with noodles was very good. The beef Kooksoo was good, but I just couldn't get over how fatty the meat was. My understanding is that is how Korean beef is, when it is in a soup, but I couldn't eat the meat. The soup and noodles were delicious, though. Whenever I'm feeling a bit under the weather I always go get Korean food. We got the Beef Kooksoo and the King Ribs Jjamppong. Both were absolutely delicious. The beef Kooksoo had a lot of flavor to it with a good amount of beef and vegetables inside. The king Ribs jjamppong had 3 large beef ribs and a decent amount of mussels and shrimp as well. The restaurant was clean with limited sitting. All the tables were filled with customers but not sure what the fuss is about. Their Galbi portion was decent but it was fatty and burnt. Their XL Rib jjambong was very tasteless. Also, considering that their dishes are pricy, I'm surprised that they only give you kimchi as their side dish when many Korean restaurants give you at least 4-5 side dishes on average. We walked in on a rainy day. For our first time and knowing the potions where big enough to share we all got a different entree to be able to sample as much as we could. We ordered Mandu , Beef Kookso, Chicken Noodle soup, LA Galbi and Lobster Jjamppong. The service is attentive and welcoming. The food, OMG was delicious. The Lobster Jjamppong was mouthwatering. My daughters are spicy eaters, I am not but the flavor of the Jjamppong was so tasty I just ignored the heat. The heat was noted as 2 peppers and for one that is accustomed to heat. The spicy level may feel like more of a med. The broth is hearty and addicting. The chicken noodle soup had a bountiful amount of chicken unlike other establishments leaving you to questions "where is the ?" The LA Galbe was tender and marinated just right. Mandu comes 4 in an order we could have easily eaten 12. Kimchi was fresh and still had just the right amount of crunch with a pinch of sweetness. I could have eaten a whole bowl. Had to remind myself that it's side dish. Combo are a bargain when you consider the portions that are given which easily feeds 2. The establishment is inviting with clean lines and simple design. Keep in mind they close between 3-5. But as long as your there by 2:45 they will accommodate you. This Kooksoo is a must and with winter ahead of us is a perfect place to warm your tummies. Had a chance to visit this place yesterday for a spontaneous trip to Dallas. The place I had a superb cold noodle closeby had a long waiting list (forgot it was Father's Day), so we popped over to Kooksoo when the waitress said there was no wait! The space felt pretty open and a standard sleek looking shop! There was only 1 waitress manning all the tables, but she was very efficient. We ordered the Cold noodle and the Braised short rib. Cold Noodle: the sauce and the veggies/egg were excellent! The noodle was not the type we had expected/usually had (buckwheat) - so it was not chewy or provide that additional "cold" feeling. But overall, I'd still recommend if you're craving for cold noodle and wouldn't mind regular noodle. Braised Short Rib: this is different than the usual BBQ Galbi, and I find it interesting. The meat was definitely flavorful, and they were pretty thick cuts too! I was glad they gave us a scissor to cut the meat, since I gladly used it to get rid of a lot of the fat too! I'd highly recommend if the chefs could get rid of the fat instead, so it would be less heavy. I'd order this dish again. Found this spot on Yelp since I was craving some Korean food. I ended up getting it for takeout and having a picnic with my friend. The food was really REALLY yummy and pretty value, as I couldn't finish the bento box in one sitting. This place is racist against other Asians with dark skin. Also, don't dine here if you are alone. There's a middle aged/older lady who works here. Came on a Friday afternoon by myself. She was the only server at the time. I was sat at the single table next to the bus cart with dirty dishes. That's fine, that could me overlooked. I asked to sit so another table because cold air was blowing hard on my back. Instead of moving me, she asked me to sit at the opposite side of the table. It was still blowing cold air, now on my knees and feet. I asked to be moved again. She told me there was really no air and basically telling me I was lying. You could see the air blowing on the banner and yet she claimed there was no air. I asked to be moved again, this time I already had my food delivered. She proceeded to tell me she was the only server there to which I don't get why that's my problem. The place was not full. The middle area for bigger group was not full and there were 4 empty 4 seater table. She said I was seated there because I was only 1 person. After I insisted to be moved, she gave me a big sigh and grudgingly moved me to the other table. I only saw her 1 more time for water refill. I ordered King rib soup. I asked for the to go box. I didn't finish my rib do I asked for a big container. She proceeded to tell me to remove the meat from the bone so it could fit in the container she gave me. In told her I want the bone. She then told me she would give me a bag for the bone. At this point, I am just shocked and appalled how I, the paying customer, should prefer to take the $30 dinner home. I asked if someone orders that to go, do they also remove the meat from the bone? She said no there's a container for it. I asked for that container and she said no, I already dirtied the container she gave me and must follow her directions. I was stunned at the way I was treated at this place. Everyone else seem to be being taken care of fine. This happened Q1 of 2023 and I'd rather take my money elsewhere than to be mistreated again. I'm still traumatized at how this place made me feel.
