    Spicy chicken stir fry
    Aleena G.

Went here today to get a good lunch. Keep in mind it's in a food court with the store called "korea house" they have very good traditional and modern Korean food for a good price. The chicken overall was spicy but I felt like it could have been more saucy or have little bit more flavor. Overall though pretty good for $15 (water was separate). Service was pretty quick and ambiance definitely lively since this was in the middle of ktown. Come here for a quick cheap bite as well as to hang with friends :)

Hands down my favorite spot for korean bbq kalbi and bulgogi, I come here very often to be honest and I get the same 2 items on the menu. # 27 bulgogi medium is 17.99 and large 21.99 or #28 korean bbq kalbi m 19.99 and large 24.99 those are the only two on the menu that you can combo it with a tofu stew for an extra $5. The medium is usually enough for me. I literally just come here after work or when i'm off from work to just come here and nibble something for lunch or dinner. The staff are usually the same, every time I go. pretty sure they know by now that i'm a regular that comes so freaking often as much as I can, haha. They have traditional korean food which is why I like it here.

If there's a whole building full of Job Advisors, then it's a Korea House. This is not that. This is just a stall in a market that makes f***ing good food. I had the soft tofu soup about two weeks after they first opened on the first trip that I made here. I've since been back three or four times but haven't eaten at this stand since then - even though I enjoyed it a lot the first time. I'll definitely be eating here again soon though. It's a little high in the price department which is why I don't give it five stars and it wasn't the best I've ever had - but it was pretty damn good. I just wish that it was under $10 like a lot of the stands inside the H Mart and whatever - but it's still a fantastic food court and I like all the stands in here and they're mostly Korean and stuff.

    Squid dolsot aka bibimbop

Pretty standard food court Korean "platter," if you will. I was looking for something seafood and hot. I wanted some noodle soup, but went with the squid bibimbop. The sauce used was on the sweeter end, and I'm glad they had some variety of veggies. They don't use real clay pots (more like plastic haha), so I didn't get the crunch from the bibimbops of the stone-cooked rice at the very bottom. Bummer, but not a mood killer. They also have some sides provided like kimchi, pickled radish, to name a few. I still prefer the Korean plaza "food court" from my hometown...so I'm probably biased. But I feel like those plazas back at home have quicker service and cheaper lunch prices/deals. Korea House didn't seem to have any lunch discounts, so maybe that might be a good idea. Nevertheless, it's a solid standard choice for korean food if you don't want to wait in line, spend crazy amounts of money, and are already hangry. Plus, there's a kung fu tea inside so you can also get your boba fix (as well as other desserts/sweets stores too). Restrooms are clean and located on the top floor (so ascend those stairs!), but nothing fancy.

    $8.99 - seafood soondubu jjigae - 해물순두부찌개
    Ashlyn K.

I decided to grab a quick bite to eat at Korea House on a Thursday around 3:30pm. It's located in the food court in K-town in the back left corner. I was surprised to see seafood soondubu jjigae for $8.99 so I ordered it with very low expectations. While I totally understand that this is a more complex dish than something like kimbap, it did take about ten minutes to come out, which is pretty long for a food court stall. If you go around this time, there is plenty of seating in the food court! I was pleasantly surprised by the taste of the food! The flavor of the broth was there and there was an ample amount of seafood. I'm guessing this is probably because it's lower quality than other restaurants that serve soondubu in the area and give way less seafood per scoop. However, I still thought the seafood tasted good and I had no complaints. Especially for $8.99. However, jjigae means stew and the consistency of their jjigae is more like a soup. They also do not cut their tofu in small chunks so you either have to do it yourself or get an unproportionate amount of tofu per bite. The kimchee that comes with it is salty and watery and looks like wet cabbage with soup thrown over it. The critiques I had of the jjigae are minor, especially considering this is a food court stall. If you're really having a craving, Korea House has great pricing for good food!

Tried the seafood tofu soup and the Kimchee fried rice with beef. The tofu soup was pretty good, but the Kimchee fried rice was not that tasty - wouldn't recommend it. Also, the wait for the food was quite long for a food court.

    Bulgogi bibimbap
    Doreen L.

This Korea House is located inside a Korean food court in Manhattan's Korea town. Here, you can get a somewhat-healthy fast meal but the food quality and quantity varies. You line up, order, get a buzzer and get your food on tray (cafeteria style). The Gop Dol bibimbop was great: hot rice, crisped by the hot stone pot, lots of vegetables and a cracked egg in the middle. The only problem was the ground beef portion was very small. But the food was plentiful and filling. My brother was satisfied with his dish. The Bulgoki bibimbop was not appetizing at all. Filled with matts of cold shredded vegetables, and a pinch of cold overcooked dull beef. I thought bulgogi/bulgoki was savory marinated beef. This beef tasted like it was boiled in hot water and seasoned slightly afterwards. Definitely do not order this. I am reluctant to return, thanks to the varying flavors, textures and value.

Great Korean BBQ ribs for a food court! Got a few dishes and they tasted great! Looks like a good small family run restaurant too!

Jap chae and tofu pot (not worth the $)
    Peng L.

I do not know why I keep coming back to this food court. I think I'm trying to give it a second chance too many times now. I like the complex a lot. The food is expensive for the quality of food you get. It's more worth it to pay $10 more for better food. I tried almost all the vendors and was never impressed. It's actually a struggle to finish my food and most of the time I leave unsatisfied. Jap chae was watery and salty. Tofu pot stew tasted like instant spicy soup. Will not come back to this one.

    Kim chee jigae
    Sylvia C.

Got the Kim chee jigae. Broth was water down and not too much meat, Kim chee. There were 4 slices of the rice cake, 4 pieces of pork. Can't believe I actually counted but when there is so little, counting is easy. Don't waste your time here when there are so many good eats nearby

Number 6: dolsolt bimbimbop from Korea House
    Yaka H.

This is a great alternative for a fast meal, located in a food court in K-town with various other food stalls (steamed buns, Red Mango, a sushi place, Korean-Chinese place, etc.). There's also a good amount of seating located in the upstairs area and this food court mall is open until midnight. If you are looking to order a heated stone pot of bimbimbap (dolsolt bimbimbap), be sure to order the correct number. This place also serves a variety of cold bowl bimbimbaps, so just be careful when ordering! The dolsot bimbimbap (#6) came with soybean soup with napa cabbage, kimchi, and burdock root pickles. The meat is pretty skimpy for the portion. While it's definitely not the best Korean, given the area, price, and speed, this is a pretty decent deal of a meal. Prices here are the same for lunch and for dinner, so for dinner, it's a much better deal. The stall will give you a pager, so it's a pretty nice system. This food court does have a water fountain, but doesn't provide cups (they provide condiment sauce cups for drinking).

    Large bulgogi to-go
    Tammie K.

Stopped by Food Gallery after work to grab a quick dinner. I was really craving bulgogi that night, but didn't want to go through the hassle of sitting down at a restaurant. After looking through all the stores, it seemed like Korea House was my best bet. I ordered a large to-go (intending it for 2+ meals) and brought everything back home. First of all, for $17+ I'd expect either the portion sizes to be larger or better quality. It was upsetting when the beef tasted flavorless and overcooked. I do give them credit for packing all the side dishes for me even though I had ordered to-go; I would have been even more disappointed otherwise. I ended up making two unsatisfying meals out of my order. Mental note: never come again.

    Tian G.

Order their seafood tofu pot. The price is good and the taste is right (have to say it's hard to mess up the taste). However, I found the ingredients to be not very fresh. I left quite some oyster/clam untouched at the end. Also, the wait time is considerable. Would be hesitate to come back again as there are so many good places on the same street.

Their menu leans into fusion dishes with a nod to some of the classic home-style classics. Everything is presented with a refined, elevated touch. Here's what we ordered: ~ Tako Wasabi - 5/5 stars A fiery delight. This appetizer feartures chopped raw octopus marinated in wasabi. It has a lively zest from the wasabi and is topped with tobiko, which adds a pleasant contrast in texture. ~ Honey Makgeolli - 4/5 stars A traditional fermented Korean beverage that is light and pairs brilliantly with your meal. It is a cloudy alcholoic drink served in a metal teapot, and surprisingly, there is much more in that teapot than you would expect. It easily provides six to eight generous pours. The flavor is subtly sweet with a pleasant tang. ~ Temaki Set - 4/5 stars You can order a set of three by choosing from selections 1-17, or you can order a la carte at the listed prices. Some of the temaki stood out more than others. Our two sets included marinated salmon, bluefin tuna, spicy yellowtail, spicy bluefin, and two dynamite temaki. ~ Spicky Pork Ssam Set - 5/5 stars Truly another standout entree that even surpassed my beloved grilled BBQ bossam. You received a generous basket of assorte greens, including romaine, kale, perilla leaves, dandelion leaves, nappa cabbage, and more. It is well worth the price and makes for a fun, interactive dining experience with your family and friends. There is also various banchan offered and this time, they were beyond kind enough to offer refills. The last time we were here, we ordered just as much food and they stated they normally did not offer refills, which I thought was very odd. With its casual bougie aesthetics, this spot has quickly become one of my favorite eateries in Fort Lee-lee, It beautifully blends Korean, Japanese, and American flavors in a way that feels both comforting and elevated. Most of the space was taken up by the accompaniments that come with it (veggies, etc), so there was hardly any room to put anything else. It didn't help that none of our dishes were cleared once we finished them and that no rice is included. Aside from that, both the food and service were great.

We walked into a stylish but relaxed space that feels suited for both casual dinners and a night out with friends, with an atmosphere that balances energy and comfort well. The room gets lively when it fills up, but the noise level adds to the experience rather than detracting from it, making it feel like a place built for sharing and conversation. The food is where Hojokban stands out. The complimentary banchan sets the tone for the meal with flavorful sides that add variety before the main dishes arrive, each one thoughtfully prepared and offering a different texture or flavor profile. The gomtang soup is one of the more comforting options, bringing together tender meat, a rich broth, and classic Korean flavors in a way that feels hearty without being overly heavy. The galbi dishes are also a highlight, with the meat cooked well and carrying the sweet and savory balance that makes Korean-style grilled beef so enjoyable. The portions are generous, and the quality of the ingredients is noticeable across the board. The menu has several unique dishes worth exploring. The truffle potato pancake is one of the more memorable items, combining a familiar Korean staple with a richer, modern twist that adds depth without losing the essence of the original. The perilla oil noodles are another standout, offering a lighter but still flavorful option with a distinct nutty aroma that lingers on the palate. The beef tartare adds a more refined element to the meal, fresh and well seasoned, while dishes like the ramyun fried rice bring a fun comfort food element with bold, savory flavors. Together, the menu covers enough ground that you can build a meal around both familiar favorites and more creative choices. Service is friendly and the overall experience feels welcoming rather than overly formal. The staff are attentive without hovering, and they handle the busy flow of the restaurant with a pace that keeps the meal moving without feeling rushed. The menu is designed for sharing, and the portions make it easy to order several dishes across the table, allowing you to try more of what the kitchen has to offer. The lively atmosphere adds to the meal, making it a good fit for group dinners where the energy of the room matches the pace of the food. Hojokban does a good job blending traditional Korean flavors with a more modern dining experience. It is a place where you can come for familiar comfort food while still finding dishes that feel creative and different. If you enjoy Korean cuisine and want a restaurant with a little more personality, this is a spot worth checking out. Hubs got hot stone bibimbap and as we all know the crispy rice is the best part of it... it's just tough to separate it from the actual stone dish so you can eat it, especially if you wait until it cools and fuses. If I was there with more stomach space I wanted to try the galbi, and in fact there's a weekday lunch combo that could facilitate that.

The Ssambap Set was incredibly satisfying. The beef was tender, flavorful, and paired perfectly with the fresh lettuce wraps, rice, banchan, and soup. Every bite was well-balanced and packed with flavor. We also ordered the Mixed Katsu Set, which was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and cooked to perfection. It came with generous portions and made for a comforting, filling meal. The restaurant has a modern and welcoming atmosphere, the staff was friendly and attentive, and everything arrived fresh and beautifully presented. If you're looking for a delicious Korean lunch in NYC's Koreatown, Jeong Yuk Jeom is definitely worth a visit. I'll be coming back to try more of their menu!

Soup and Banchan both receive high marks for how good they taste. Also ordered a separate beef short rib lunch special, the rib was cooked to perfection and the sauce applied was very flavorful. The galbi-jjim was perfectly tender like I could literally pull it apart with my chopstick. The addition of the rice cake, pumpkin, and pyogo mushroom were a nice touch. The soy sauce base was a little sweet and if you take a bit and pour it over the mushroom sotbap, it is soooooooo good!!!!!!! The mushroom sotbap is so umami. There is foie gras in it which maybe be in a little overpowering for some people but I really enjoyed it I could easily eat a whole bowl of their freshly made kimchi. It was perfect. Not too salty or spicy or fermented. Literally perfect!!! I actually asked for seconds. The cold cucumber broth was really refreshing Highly, highly recommend making a resy!! There's a main dining room and a mezzanine. I sat at the mezz and got an amazing view of the main dining room. Service here is amazing. The only thing that I thought was a bit of a shame is that there's a $10 cake cutting service PER PERSON, if you wanted to celebrate a birthday. We got their fried chicken, beef tartare, 2 galbi jjim, and their bossam. Everything was phenomenal. While I think we could've skipped the chicken, the galbi jjim is a must-try. Cocktails are also great here. Amazing dining experience, food, ambiance, service, and I highly recommend.
