It was super delicious and a bunch on had my favorite cucumbers which were pickled. I really enjoyed it however, my friend did not really like his kimchi soup. However, my seafood soup and my Bulgogi beef was very tender and delicious and flavorful. Definitely coming back here again and the service was top-notch. They gave us iced tea as well. The food here is fantastic. No more need to drive into LA/OC county for legit Korean food. Their sundubu (spicy tofu soup) is amazing, way better than BCD and definitely anything else in this area. My server was friendly and checked in on me for refills on drinks and sides. I wholeheartedly recommend this place if you're in the area and are craving some Korean food. Finally a good Korean restaurant in the area! We had Yuk-Gae-Jang, grilled mackerel, and bibimbop. Everything tasted amazing including their bachan. We will definitely come back to eat here again. Much needed addition to the area!! Food The food is soooo good. I've been here 3 times since they opened and the food has always been a consistent strong point. I'd recommend the bossam (boiled pork belly) combo or the bulgogi combo. I usually can't handle spice, but I'm okay with medium for the tofu soup broths, could possibly even handle spicy :) It is on the pricier side unfortunately, but I'd say it's average for the cost of Korean food in general and well worth it for the quality Service The staff is so sweet!! You might have a bit of a wait with the food coming out but they just opened, so they're still adjusting. Regardless, it still came out in a timely manner and I was mingling with my friends most times so the time flew. A friend of mine accidentally spilled her drink one time and the waitress handled it so gracefully. During the grand opening, another friend and I got chopsticks as a welcome gift which was such a kind gesture. Ambiance The restaurant is narrow but spacious. The inside is well thought out and designed beautifully. They really have an eye for detail here. I would say it might be hard to accommodate larger parties since there's only a few tables that can sit up to 6 but parties of 2-4 should be accommodated easily. Final thoughts: 10/10, every time I've come here the food, service, and ambiance have consistently delivered. When you walk in you notice the clean aesthetic of the restaurant. It wasn't very busy when I visited so I was greeted promptly and friendly and then was shown to my table moments later. When you are seated you are brought a little container full of barley tea and I've got to say it had a nice roasted flavor and was so refreshing. The waitress was friendly and patient while I looked over the menu and I ultimately chose the Beef & Vegetables w/Rice in a Hot Stone Pot dish. As soon as your food comes out they bring you all the banchan (sides) and each one was delicious but my noticeable favorites were the kimchi and the potato salad. My main entree was nicely plated and was piping hot. The egg on top was perfectly cooked, the beef was delicious and marinated very well, the vegetables were a perfect combination too. Can smell the food the moment you step in. We ordered a little bit of everything. My favorite was the kimchi pancake, so much deep flavor. Could be a little crispier, but the flavor is there. Bossam meal came with stew and was probably the most value. Super tender pork with cabbage and 2 dipping sauces. Went to watch a movie at Galaxy and decided to check this place out. Saw that they had raw marinated crab on their menu, and my wife has been DYING to try it. The ambiance was awesome, the servers and staff were amazing! Super nice and very welcoming. They advised my wife ahead of time that the crab was raw and if it was ok to proceed and my wife was more than happy! We tried a new Korean restaurant tonight and had a good overall experience. The restaurant was clean, and we were seated right away when we arrived. They served barley tea, which was a nice touch. Our server was very friendly and even let me know the tea was caffeine-free, which I appreciated since I can't have caffeine at night. They have both hot and cold tea. She brought us both to try. We ordered the short ribs and bibimbap with Tofu soup, both of which came with side dishes. The food came out hot, and the short rib barbecue was delicious and flavorful. The side dishes were pretty good. The kimchi and cucumbers were excellent. The bibimbap wasn't truly cooked in the hot stone and seemed to be placed in hot stone bowl after cooking it. Overall, I'd still recommend this place. It offers pretty good Korean food. The service was great. Five stars for service and four and 1/2 stars for bibimbap! read more

Came in yesterday around 330pm with my mom and son. My go to place is OC for Authentic Korean food but thought I'd give this a try since it was nearby and had great reviews. I ordered the bulgogi and tofu soup combo and my mom ordered K2 seol leon tang which was the ox tail soup with beef. The bulgogi was pretty good just a tad salty but flavorful. The seafood tofu soup was very delicious. The ox tail beef soup however completely lacked flavor. Even with the spice and seasoning rack they provided it. I absolutely do not recommend that dish as it tasted like water and flavorless meat and should not even be on the menu. The sides were decent but have tasted better. The egg plant, cucumber and fish cakes were the tastiest of the side dishes and didn't care for the others. Overall the food was decent but what was upsetting was the lack of customer service. The waitress forgot our rice and I finally said something about 10 minutes after receiving my food since I was eating my soup first. My mom had ordered the purple rice and I had white, so she called the young waitress to remind her that she had the purple rice. That waitress lowered her body to almost be eye level with my moms and responded with a "I got you" in the most rudest tone like she was so annoyed. I heard that and was taken aback. That young waitress had no right to talk to a customer like that especially if the customer was asking kindly. The manager needs to retrain her when it comes to customer service skills. Not once did the waitress apologize for her mistake of forgetting to bring it out. I also noticed that none of the waitresses asked any customers if everything was okay with their food or if they needed anything after the dish was served. I will give this place another chance since the food was decent. But customer service needs a lot of work. read more

Our waitress was very friendly and gave us suggestions on what to order. We got the beef bulgogi, spicy pork and tofu stew. The meat was flavorful and juicy. I work in the Mission Grove Plaza and Korean Restaurant is super close to me. They just newly opened. There's plenty of parking. Entrance is on the front and the back. There are tons of seating outside. They have a good amount of indoor seating plus a party room. Decor is very much Korean. There were plenty of staff but only one family on a Saturday afternoon. I was sad that I couldn't stay and dine in a my favorite part of Korean restaurants is the side dishes. I was pleasantly surprised when I opened my take out bag and they had included a small tray of side dishes! I have never had take out where they include the sides. This made my day! All the side dishes were good! I got the Seafood Tofu soup which isn't on the menu but when I called the order in she asked me what kind I would like. Btw their online order is not working. The tofu soup was medium spicy. It could've had more seasoning. The tofu could've been cut up a little smaller. There was a good amount of seafood. The mixed rice with beans was different.
