No. I showed up without reservations. There is the sheet that you write for how many companies with. You can see their waitlist. I was on 4th in the waitlist and it took 30 mins to be called. Wasn't too bad since it was Friday night.

It depends what time but sometimes no wait if not lunch or dinner time if come at those time around 20-40min. My prefer comes at 12pm when they just open

Almost classy for a campus cafeteria, it is the main and largest of the several cafes and restaurant locations on campus. It has a sleek, modern look, is well maintained, and offers a broad selection of foods that is appealing and upscale. I had my eye on the carving center (tri tip available on this day) and custom omelet stations (there are two, one at each end), but there are so many more entrees and side dishes to choose from, including beverages and desserts. Grab a tray, take your time, and browse the many stations first before you start loading up. There is plenty for all. But if you walk away hungry, it's no ones fault but yours. This is also a place where students can get a respectable, part-time job on campus while "edjumacating" themselves. Better yet, it must be comforting as a parent knowing there is well prepared, healthy food available for feeding your son with a hollow leg. It is not the despicable, monotonous dorm food I had the misfortune to experience many decades ago (obviously not here). While very popular with students and public alike, there is a tremendous amount of seating for all, indoors and out. There are highchair and booster seats for the little ones. Very family friendly. Our bill for 2 seniors, 3 adults, and 2 children came to around $130, quite affordable when Grandma and Grandpa are treating. And everyone left satisfied.

Plenty of tables, spaced out comfortably. They have a small area of hot food/appetizers to complement your mongolian bbq creation. The offerings included soup, rice, egg rolls, meatballs, sesame roll, and a fried donut. The mongolian bbq options are diverse. We came for dinner and they had several proteins to pick from. I was excited they had shrimp which, I gather, is a dinner option. There were also lots of veggie, sauce, and garnishing to truly make a noodle dish that you love. The price was a little higher than anticipated, especially for our baby who barely ate a palm-sized amount of food. They still charged us the lowest child's fee. Other than that, we did have a nice meal and would return again in the future.

I have to admit being confused how this place exists without serious AYOR signs around: after all, how can a patron know, whether they're heating up the meat to the minimum temperatures required by the Health Department to avoid, say, parasites? And while a food store can get away with it, because they're not the ones cooking your meal, does the same concept apply to a restaurant, which provides the bullet and let's you cock the pistol? Well, that aside, as a Yelp friend wrote, "look in the mirror: if you have any complaints about the cooking, blame yourself. You do it all", and that's absolutely true. For the most part, it's not a difficult concept unless you really don't BBQ often and can't tell a cooked piece of meat from a raw one. That said, there are other things to eat here besides meat.We showed up at 3:50pm and I can tell you, you'll be given a choice of lunch -- ending in 10 mins -- or dinner. If you chose lunch, you'd be advised at 3:55pm, that the menu will be changing and get what you want now, because if you take anything after 4pm, you'll be charged $4.00 more per person. Normally, I would consider this "threat" to be as effective as the "we charge extra for excessive, uneaten food left on the table". But, given my experiences with Korean deli owners in NY, they probably DO watch you closely and will catch you sneaking after the cut-off time.Is there really a big difference between lunch and dinner? We thought not, at first: after all, it's just more, because more people come for dinner, right? WRONG. The selection IS different, though not significantly so: mainly more fish selections (and beef tripe? Thank you, no).I admit to being a little disappointed that there weren't more typical Korean veggies (like the ever-appetizing grey noodles as well as the pitch black ones). There was a large section of "normal" veggies found in most American restaurants, so everyone can be satisfied here. We both agree, that the miso soup was very good. "Miso" very happy I had it (yes, i know: corny). The ice cream was bizarre: it was so soft serve, that it was borderline soup ... and yet, not melting into liquid at all. If you like cold potato soup, gazpacho, Polish cucumber or cherry soups ... or any other cold soup ... then you'll enjoy the soft serve vanilla ice cream: and it really helps to settle your stomach after eating too much.And finally, along the lines of "eating too much", this restaurant definitely appeals more to the eye than the stomach; the proof being the many tables with obscene amounts of uncooked meat being left by customers who overestimated their abilities. PLEASE do not waste this precious food! There's no limit on going to the bars to get the meat, so there's no reason to waste. Also, if you're inclined to work out, do so before you come to eat here: you're not only going to feel better about pigging out, which you will do, but you're definitely NOT going to feel like working out AFTER eating.We drove 70 miles one way from Palm Springs to try this place out. We're on break here, so who cares. But overall, while it is a good value for the money, I was sorta "meh ... not bad, not great ...". One of the best KBBQ spots in Riverside honestly. They have all the classic meats you'd want like brisket and galbi, and overall the quality for the price was really solid. The grill was VERY slow though, so cooking definitely took awhile, especially with a bigger group. That being said, the highlight of the whole experience was easily the banchan buffet. I honestly miss being able to walk around and grab different banchan at KBBQ spots, so it felt super nostalgic. Every single dish was so good, but the japchae especially stood out to me. I genuinely think I filled up more on banchan than meat because it was THAT good. I definitely did not get my money's worth in meat because I kept going back for sides instead LOL. They also had soft serve at the end which was a nice touch. Service was fast, friendly, and overall the value here is amazing. $33 for AYCE KBBQ these days honestly feels like such a steal. We came on a Sunday late afternoon, joined the waitlist and was promised 45 minute. Came in at the promised time and had to wait another 20 minutes. Place was packed, lots of birthday. We finally got seated and greeted by the waitstaffs. All the meat were out, we started grilling. By then, all side dishes were not out, sauces were not served. We asked twice more for them yet after doing the second set of grilling, none came. We asked again and all came at once few moments before we decided we are done eating. Maybe we'll have the side dishes and sauces for dessert who knew. Should have gone across the street for the other kbbq. Food were okay, maybe they just have issues with staffing and training or maybe we just came in at the wrong lunch time, it was 4pm ish Sunday afternoon. read more

Although the food is good, not sure I'm a big fan of all the raw meats on ice at a kiosk for customers to get themselves. Too many opportunities for cross contamination. Most of the Korean BBQ restaurants I've dined at, the service staff bring the meat to you from the kitchen, where it is handled by the professionals. The other options on the buffet line were great. Of the meats we tried, the Bulgogi and Spicy Chicken were the best. The bay scallops were way too small the grill at the table. They did drink refills and changed the grill out a few times. However, all the dirty plates were on a cart right next to the buffet line. As well, the ice cream my wife had was very soupy. read more

came to eat to try it out it's a buffet style all you can eat it's was cool just the only thing In my opinion i didn't have to leave a tip if I was getting up and having to serve myself the food and plus cook it obviously , so I didn't , but apparently one of the workers still decied to charge a 20% tip with out my authorization , I would of been okay with the 12% but 20 is just unCalled for it's the principle of things , this shouldn't have happened if I'm having to cook and get up and get the stuff myself they keep deleting so ima keep posting it watch out for theses people Ps I'm keep posting this no matter how many times you hide it James how are you okay with this read more

After finding this place on Yelp, I took a friend of mine who I haven't seen in 16 years. We were warmly greeted when we walked in and were seated soon afterwards. Koreana is always great because you get to cook everything the way you like it! For some weird reason I really really like their jello. I'm not sure what they do to it but it's so tasty. This is by far one of the best and my favorite KBBQ I've been too. Not many like this (to my knowledge). I love the variety of proteins and vegetables here. Not to mention you don't have to wait for refills, they're there at your disposal. Clean restaurant and quick service. I love this place! They recently remodeled which was much needed but I never cared since I love the food and the fun of cooking at your table. I've been to this place over 30 times. And I will continue to go! I recommend trying the shrimp with butter and garlic. Ask the server for aluminum foil and you cook the shrimp in the aluminum bowl. It's so good! read more

This place is fantastic! The theme of this place is that you get to cook your meat right in front of you! There is small grill they set up and you can cook your food just the way you like it. It is also nice to see a seafood selection as well. With a wall of beer, I can see myself coming back here for several lunches. read more

Absolutely love it here. It is an all you can eat restaurant that has an good amount of meats to choose from. The only downside is that the restaurant is extremely outdated and is dirty. We got to the spot around 8:30ish but we couldn't find a place that was labelled Shabu Garden so we circled around for a couple of minutes before realizing that Taiyo's Sushi & Poki was what we were looking for. Not sure why they have different names, but it looks like they're under new ownership so I guess they haven't had the chance to change their name? On Sunday evenings, they close at 9:30pm, so I honestly wasn't sure they were going to accept us. Luckily for us, they still accepted our walk-in and we were seated promptly. They have 3 AYCE options: AYCE shabu, AYCE sushi, AYCE sushi & shabu, and they also have a premium option of AYCE sashimi. The prices seemed quite reasonable for sushi and hot pot at $41.99 but considering the time that we had until the last call (9PM), we just opted for the shabu and ordered as many meats as we could. The servers were extremely attentive knowing that we didn't have much time until the last call so they brought out a total of 3 rounds of meat. The owner or the manager (couldn't tell) graciously offered to freshly fry any shrimp tempura that we wanted, and we were so grateful for that. Just note that there are only 3 types of broth to choose from: original, spicy, miso They have a buffet section for the veggies, noodles, and seafood. The selection is decent. They had my usual favorites like spinach, mushrooms, napa cabbage, clams, and they even had crab. The hot foods section consisted of fried foods such as fried calamari, fried shrimp tempura, etc. I can't say too much about the buffet section since we arrived there late, but we basically cleaned up majority of it. Meats were decent. No wagyu for sure. There's not a lot of selection but for the price you're paying ($31.99/pp), I'm not complaining. I'd say the pricing and value you get from this spot matches with the quality of food provided. If it were pricier, than I would prefer just getting my shabu fix in OC. The next time we're in the area, we hope to try the AYCE shabu + sushi option.
