Best Sushi in my delivery area, hands down!! All the classic rolls are excellent...since all their seafood is fresh, fresh, fresh! And they are always consistent. Super reasonably priced lunch specials. The Chirashi is very generously portioned. I highly recommend the salmon tartar app. It's roughly minced fresh salmon with a raw quail egg in the middle that you mix-in yourself. Some sushi places do salmon tartar differently with assorted mix-ins, but the fish is so fresh here they know they don't need anything but the egg! They let the salmon flavor shine. Not bad considering I just stumbled upon it! I happened to be in the Prospect Heights area and wanted a quick dinner. It was quick alright- I was in and out in less than 45 min. Seems as though they mostly do take out/delivery. There was one other patron there other than myself- which explains the fast service. Regardless, my waitress was nice, and always filled up my water- even after I paid the bill. Decor is simple and the place is small- but, there are enough tables and room at the bar that you never should have to wait. It was $16 for the Tuna Deluxe. It was a good variety and very fresh- one tuna (not spicy) roll, and 7 pieces of sushi- an assortment of salmon (thank God no shrimp- I hate shrimp sushi!), mackerel (rarer), cooked eel (very good), tuna, and yellowtail. I didn't bother to look at the specials, but I think they had some good, fresh items like uni, and tuna toro- items not available at your run of the mill sushi place, though, this had the run of the mill items, at run of the mill prices. In total seriousness, I have this place on speed dial. Awesome sushi at an incredible deal (for lunch specials that is). I've stopped in for dinner as well and everyone there is super friendly and helpful. The restaurant itself is rather small, so it seems like most of their business comes from take-out orders. I called Koto by mistake, thinking I was calling Taro, down the road. When I opened my food, the first thing I noticed was that they had given me Chinese, not Japanese, soy sauce. The miso soup was passable, but the sushi was filled with off-cut fish and over-ripe avocado. Your time would be better spent walking to stop and shop. read more

It's that sushi joint behind the hype sushi spot with ridiculous prices and baller architecture- this is a simple spot but they do food and service so well. I ordered the dinner box- so healthy and delicious and there in a split second. Portions are considerably larger than average, and it has a comfortable and homey feel. Apparently the only thing I ever order from Seamless is sushi. Today I decided to switch it up and pick a different sushi restaurant than my norm. Totally worth it. This place has a 3 sushi roll special around lunch time for about ten dollars!! They had all my favorites included in this deal so I was very satisfied with this. I needed to get something else to meet the minimum so I order shumai. I love shumai it's pretty much one of the best things around. The food came in a good amount of time, I wasn't even thinking man can my food just hurry up and get here when it arrived, major plus. When I received my food I got the pleasant surprise of finding out it also came with soup and salad. So for about ten bucks I got soup, salad and three sushi rolls. Can I get a hells yes? I got the spicy tuna roll, Alaska roll and my all time favorite the eel avocado roll. The miso soup was alright, I mean it tasted like miso soup and honestly I just don't like miso soup that much in general. The salad was great as always, I love whatever dressing they put on it. This was an excellent meal from start to finish. My gf and I were looking for somewhere to go before the Islanders game at Barclays as we refuse to eat the awful food they serve inside. The Gyozo was some of the best I have ever had and the noodle was super thin (which i've been told is a sign of high quality). The roles were exceptional and you could tell that all of the fish was fresh. The service was top notch (even to the point where they would refill my Sake if they saw it empty. My boyfriend and I are obsessed with this place. We are kind of snobby when it comes to good sushi, have tried all of the sushi spots around us (Geido, Taro, Ki, Wasan) to name a few. By far and away, Koto is the best. Their fish is so fresh, and the ratio of rice to fish is perfect (tons of fish). I ordered delivery from here because I was craving some cold noodles on a hot day--zaru soba, to be exact. When the delivery man arrived (timely, too!), the soba noodles were plentiful and cold, but WHAT: The dipping broth was warm and came in a tiny condiment container! I'm supposed to be dipping all the soba in that thimble of warm liquid? I can't even get any of the wasabi and scallion mix-ins in there! (Also, not to be a snob, but I think horseradish is the more traditional mix-in spice.) That aside, the gyoza were excellent, and my husband's tempura looked good, too. Koto Sushi is definitely most popular for take-out/delivery, but a friend and I decided to meet here for dinner last night, and the space is cute! Per usual, I wanted to order everything from the menu, but I eventually ended up selecting the Sushi Deluxe with miso soup; my friend ordered a couple of rolls. We also split the tempura appetizer. The tempura, fried well, and not too greasy, was accompanied by a tasty dipping sauce. My Sushi Deluxe, which was served with a tuna roll, hit the spot! The tuna roll was delicious, wrapped in rice and seaweed, and of course dipped in a lot of wasabi and soy sauce. Other than the white fishes, the rest of the fish was also good, and included tuna, salmon, and eel. I washed it all down with a bottle of Sapporo. My friend said that her rolls were also good, and she sipped on a small sake. The service was friendly and attentive, as we were the only ones dining in. I haven't tried their delivery service but I can tell a lot of other people have as they always have orders waiting for delivery. Came here with a friend for a late dinner last weekend. The prices are pretty standard, definitely affordable. We ordered the tiger roll, philadelphia roll, and two more whose names we forget. The presentation was definitely good looking and the hostesses were very kind and attentive. The avocado in the sushi seemed odd tasting yet looked just fine.
