Got the classic Doner Kebab. 10 min wait for the beef but that's ok, I like the meat fresh. Everything was freshly made and the crunch on that first bite was amazing. I do like the food here, especially the vegetable doner kebab. I wish there were an option to do half tofu and half vegetables, but unfortunately that's not available. While I enjoy the food itself, the limited selection and service often deter me from coming back. They're frequently out of the vegetable option, and the bread has become noticeably more stale over time. Back in 2022, I even made a complaint because the service was so rude. They almost always had just one employee handling everything--cooking, takeout and delivery orders, and in-person customers. The service was quick and the wait time wasn't long considering lunch time. I wanted to try Berlin food, which is why I gave it a try. I ordered the chicken dooner kebab and it comes in a thin tortilla bread. It was a big sized wrap stuffed with chicken and lots of different types of veggies. At first it tasted fresh and the chicken was flavorful but then it tasted like chicken and liver mixed... ughh wasn't expecting that and I don't recall that in the description either. It also has feta cheese and all of a sudden the combination was make me nauseous . The combination is not great and the chicken tasting like liver is yuck. It's located in the hugh, so the ambience is fast and busy with plenty of seating or grab and go option. I will not be giving them my hard earned $16 dollars ever again. I enjoy the food, but trying to order delivery is a hit or miss as who knows if they'll remember to shut off DoorDash or reject your order in a timely fashion when the place is closed early for a private event or who knows what? Ordered pickup lunch online in the middle of the workday and it was ready for pickup in under 15 mins. The spot is located inside of the Hugh, which has a ton of options for quick service. Got a wrap on the tortilla style bread and really enjoyed it. Only reason I'm taking off a star is that the bread that my sandwich was served on was really cold, so it made for kind of a weird eating experience where the inside was warm, but not really warm enough considering how cold the bread was. When I first went to The Hugh, this was the place that caught my eye. I was really excited, especially since I hadn't had a good kebab in a while, so I decided to take my business here. I thought the food here was solid, and the amount of food was so much that I could only eat about half of it. Prices were pretty reasonable, considering it's in Manhattan. The only thing I didn't love about my experience was that the wait was so, so long. And that's not just waiting for food--a huge part of our wait was just waiting for our order to be taken! And the workers there didn't seem too bothered by making us wait a really long period of time. I'm not entirely sure this would be my first choice of restaurants to eat at in the area, but if I were ever around here and really, really craving a kebab, I wouldn't mind the wait as much. read more

I went to The Hugh, the atrium in the Citicorp Tower on Lex (53rd/54th), to check out the offerings for lunch. I decided to try Kotti because who doesn't love a good Doner Kebab? For those not in the know, the Doner Kebab is the Turkish version of a Greek Gyro. I ordered the Chicken Doner Kebab and the first thing I noticed was that it is HUGE. It's a lot of food. I can't imagine how anyone could eat this as a sandwich because I couldn't come close to fitting it in my mouth. I pulled it out of the paper wrapper and went at it with a fork. It was delicious. Big sandwich with a good amount of meat and some interesting toppings you don't find outside at most halal carts. Friendly guys working there. They have samples out usually of their doner. Tried Kotti's doner Chicken wrap today for the first time and overall it is pricey at almost $16 with tax for a medium sized at best wrap. The doner was ok in taste and tender but I like alil char on my doner meat. The pickled veggies and veggies was crisp and fresh. The wrap was eh like right off the storage shelf tortilla wrap.
