Almost missed this place when driving into the lot. There's 1 or 2 tables for you to eat there, but mostly I see people order the food to go. The fried rice and chow mein here are very good, really nice sauce and seasoning on it. The lady who took my order was very nice and friendly. She greeted me upon entering and asked if I had any questions etc. They aren't great with English but they really do try to give great customer service. All workers were also following COVID protocol - everyone was wearing a mask and they had a window up at the counter etc. We ordered the salt and pepper fish - AMAZING DISH! the breading was thin and there were big pieces of fish! the seasoning was good as well, I would've liked a bit more pepper and salt but overall solid dish. It wasn't too oily or too dry. Sweet and sour pork - We really loved this dish as well, I would give it a good toss after you receive it in the box, because most of the sauce goes to the bottom. The breading wasnt thick and you get a lot of meat! House Chow fun - big portions and lots of meat!!! wasnt too greasy or oily and had a good amount of veggies in it too. Flavor was on point House Beef - if you like straw mushrooms and bamboo shoots, get this dish!! It had lots of meat in it as well as loads of veggies like broccoli and baby corns. All the veggies were fresh and crunchy! Shrimp in lobster sauce - this dish reminded me of egg drop soup with lots of shrimp inside! I wish the sauce was a bit thicker but overall the flavor was delicious! Pricing came out to only be $44 for all of our food! WHAT A STEAL! All of their dishes are only $6-9 which is so cheap compared to most chinese restaurants charging around $9-12 for an entree. Other places you get horrible or greasy oily food - here, you do not! I've visited at least 5 different Chinese restaurants in the surrounding area, and prices at Kowloon are more than reasonable for the food quality and quantity. Not to mention the speed at which my meal is prepared. Went with orange chicken, general chicken, and bbq pork. The least discussed on yelp was the general chicken which stole the show. All the chicken seemed of high quality. General chicken came with broccoli and jalapeños. Not spicy to me but had a subtle kick. Bbq pork was nothing special but complimented the meal well. This is the one. If you're looking for a satisfying and affordable Chinese Take Out spot, this place ticks all the boxes. The salt and pepper fish was batter fried and the fish was tender. The salt and pepper seasoning on the fish went well with the sliced onion and peppers. This dish was the best of the three. The potstickers (pork) were good but the outside skins were soft (we prefer crispier) and that's probably why the meat inside was a bit pink. Very efficient, yummy, and reasonably-priced Chinese take-out. They speak Cantonese, and the lady owner is always nice and prompt with my orders. Excellent customer service, as many times, I asked her to take my order to my car because I have two toddlers in the car. Apparently you cannot sub items on the combo. Anyways. Kids loved the food, the food to me was a bit lacking in seasoning. This place is a hit or mess with the food. Sometimes they're nice and polite and sometimes they're just plain rude yelling at you because they don't understand you when you asked them for chow mein made Hong Kong style noodles which means fried noodles but you would understand that because it's on your goddamn menu and now you don't make it anymore because you know you don't know how to make it in the first place. Simply put your salt and pepper fish is all right The first 10 minutes you receive it otherwise you will be eating soggy gthough which is just plain nasty. I don't care for your fried rice or your chow mein and everything else on your menu seems to be just fucking nasty. That's coming from an Asian myself. I was brought up eating good food but this is one place I will avoid at all costs and watch all the Caucasians order from the shit hole. Good luckAnd hope you stay in business. This was an amazing experience!!! So we run at Golden Oaks Park about 1900 feet from this strip mall where I go to Boulevard Coffee to get a latte when we come over here about once a week! I was a little hungry for a snack so went two doors down from the coffee shop and checked out the Tiny Thai restaurant. As I was looking at the menu I asked the guy what was in the vegetable spring rolls right! His apathetic response was" cabbage and stuff , why are you allergic to something "...... No take out menu either , I walked out, looked directly across the parking lot and saw Kowloon! I approached while looking it up on Yelp of course! Great reviews-Great Service, cheap and quick! All good! I ordered some tofu soup and vegetable egg fu young! While waiting,I notice a Toyota truck right in front of the door with horrifically oxidized headlamps!! Well folks!! I own "Marathon Headlamp Restoration "- ( reviews on Yelp* of course!), And asked if the owner owned the truck!!' Longer story short, I restored his headlamp while waiting for my food and left super satisfied on taste and portions coupled with an adjusted bill of PLUS $15.00! My meal was $15 and he paid me $30 for the Now restored headlamps! . Win Win !! Prior to cleaning them he told me he thought they'd need to be replaced because they were so bad!! I restored them to almost new in 12 minutes and we were both stoked and very Happy! The Guys Kong Kong American style Chinese food is really great!!!
