On a whim I tried the dry mixing noodles and added a pig trotter, extra spicy, to go. Overall it was a nice portion and priced reasonably. The "dry mixing noodles" is more like a sauced noodle than what I expected, with a nice sour flavor. I would say 4/10 spicy, might have been because it's not meant to be spicy, maybe because I don't look like I can handle spicy. That also might be why they only packed me a fork and no chopsticks... But anyway the bottom line was that it wasn't spicy. The overall flavor of the dish was savory and a little sour, not heavily acidic or anything just noticeable. The noodles are chewy and weren't stuck together, although I did eat them within 10 minutes of picking it up. I can't recall tasting something like this before so it was fun to try something new. Flavor-aside, what really made the dish interesting was all the toppings. Peanuts and crispy wontons were familiar, but the rest of the mix-ins weren't immediately obvious. Everything tasted great though and all the crispy and crunchy and chewy bits broke up the noodle's texture nicely. The add-on pig trotter tasted fine but was a little small, a little dry on the surface, and full of bones. It had been slow cooked to the point where those bones basically slid right out, which makes me wonder why they don't just remove them. That's a small issue, the bigger issue is that I was hoping for a rich and gelatinous texture but instead it was kind of just mush with a bit of a dry surface. I'd probably skip this. Inside is very clean and full of delicious looking pictures of food I don't recognize, so I'd like to come back to try more of the menu. They also have an amusing number of security cameras for a relatively small and open space, not sure why that's necessary as the area doesn't strike me as being particularly crime-ridden. Every table has single-use chopsticks, vinegar, and what looked like spicy sauce. Outside the parking lot is decent but I'm sure fills up. It's in the same strip mall as Adelitas so I'd guess during busy hours it might be tricky to park. They do have a few reserved spots out front though. They take credit cards and did not even suggest tipping on a to go order, which is a major breath of fresh air compared to places thinking we need to tip 20% or more to walk out the door with food. Overall I enjoyed it and would come back to try more things, just skip the trotter.

We stopped by this place for a late- lunch Togo. The shop is grand opening. It's decent amount of people late-noon. The ordering screen is straightforward to use. They mainly offer rice noodles that are authentic to Chinese southwest cuisine. The spicy level is high. I asked for mild-spicy, and still couldn't handle much. But I can see the flavor attracts a lot of folks. And I'll be back soon to try out no -spicy ones.

Finally found a solid Chinese spot nearby. The orange chicken and Kong Pao Chicken was fresh, crunchy, and the sauce was perfect.

The lousifen is legit. The broth is so flavorful and the toppings were generous. Will need to go back to try their other dishes.

Kung Pao chicken was battered and fried (!) and had no sauce or vegetables. Will not return.

I thought some dishes were great; the wagyu burger was decadent. Other dishes were not that special. The scallops didn't taste too fresh (likely frozen) and combining them with hummus didn't quite work. The side of bread was practically insulting. $5 for stale table bread was a surprise. Dishes arrived very late; we were nearly forgotten when we tried to order, and then after ordering, we waited 40 minutes between appetizers and the main course. Not because they were cooking it; they just forgot we were there and when they brought out the dishes, the scallops were no longer just-cooked, and the burger had been sitting for a bit. No apology, just an acknowledgment it was late, and no discount (not even on the stale bread). They offered us wine, we said we didn't drink, and they just moved on. I debated a lot about how to review this. It's my personal experience that was disappointing, and I'm glad some reviews are very upbeat. But there's a handful of reviews noting frustrating delays... and that needs to be worked on.

Sitting outside was great even at night with nice touches such as hand warmers to warm you up! Dishes were small dishes/tapas style but fun to share. We had the grilled half artichoke, loch duart scottish salmon, KFC, it's carrot rice, fries and Beth's hand pie. The salmon was cooked nicely preserving the juiciness with some tangerine wedges for added acidity. It's carrot rice was unique in that it was like a texmex porridge (this doesnt sound appealing but it was delicious), the various dips that accompanied the grilled half artichoke and fries were good too! Lastly didnt think i'd be impressed with the KFC but it was well seasoned and came with fun sauces. However the 5/5 stars is really for our waiter that evening Andres! Right off the bat seating us at the table he came full of humor, great jokes, and genuinely warm service. Throughout the night he was thoughtful in his timing with service and always came in with a new witty joke! It felt like we were regulars at this spot despite it being my first time. Highly recommend Orchard City Kitchen for a great meal!

It is definitely more of a grab-and-go place than a sit-down restaurant, but the food traveled well and made for a solid meal. The plantains were one of the highlights. They were sweet, soft, and cooked really nicely. The rice was pretty average and did not add much to the bowl, but the proteins helped make up for it. The salmon was cooked well and stayed moist, although it could have used a little more seasoning or sauce. The jerk chicken was excellent, with great flavor and a nice amount of seasoning. I also tried some of my friend's oxtail, and that was easily the standout. It was incredibly flavorful, tender, and something I would definitely order next time. Overall, this was a very good experience and a great option for takeout. I would come back, especially for the jerk chicken and oxtail.

You order at the counter and they bring it to you. This kind of service is ok with me, but the fact that the defaulted tip is always calculated for you without the full dine in experience always gets me. This leaves the obligation to the customer. Anyway, I digress. The food was delicious nonetheless! We ordered: Oxtail and chicken combo 5/5 It was really good, except the scoops of rice were tiny and not in proportion with the protein Jerk chicken sandwich 3/5 Good, but the meat goes better with rice Beef & chicken patties: We prefer the beef over the chicken & ordered extras to go to share with family. It is far for us, but if I am in the area, I'll definitely return. I love Caribbean food and this one is on my top list.
