I really enjoyed this spot! We brought in a party of 13 so we came in at 11am on a Wednesday to avoid the lunch rush (we did call ahead). Our table was set up right at opening. This is a casual restaurant and the menu had a lot to offer. I was please with the selection of gluten free items, most of the curries were gluten free and the pad thai was gluten free. I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to eat but instead I enjoyed the panang curry! The lunch portions were large and it was tasty. I liked the thai iced tea as well. Thai Bamboo Bistro is a casual Thai restaurant in a plaza with other eateries and shops. Came here on a Tuesday for lunch and there was a good lunch crowd but we were able to be seated immediately. I ordered the Panang Curry with Chicken and a Thai Iced Coffee. Food came out quickly and portions are solid. Flavor of the curry is good and the chicken was cooked well. The curry had a good amount of chicken and vegetables. There was a side salad and rice served with the curry as well. Both are standard. Nothing to note. The Thai Iced Coffee was strong but not too sweet. I enjoyed it. Overall, giving Thai Bamboo Bistro a 4/5. Food is good, service is quick, and it is a good spot for a casual meal. One of our favorite places. We go here regularly. Favorite dishes include Thai basil chicken, black pepper beef and crazy cashew chicken. We love that they ask you for desired spice level. We always order at 7 for a good base kick. Service is also good - friendly staff. read more

I tried Thai Bamboo Bistro for lunch and ordered the Fire Tofu lunch. The portion size was solid for a lunch meal and definitely filling. The rice was cooked really well, fluffy and fresh, and paired nicely with the tofu. That said, the salad on the plate felt more like a filler than a meaningful side. Compared to other similar Thai spots, you do get a bit less overall value. Many places include a small soup or appetizer with lunch, but there wasn't anything extra offered here. Service wasn't really there, aside from bringing your food to your table and the bill when you're finished, there isn't any follow up on how the meal actually tastes or if anything further is needed. Overall, the food itself was good and satisfying, but the lunch combo could be improved to better match what nearby establishments offer. After reading some of the reviews, I was hesitant to try Thai Bamboo. I finally broke down and can say that it was better than I expected. Ordered a couple of lunch specials for takeout and when I arrived, I was surprised to see the restaurant was packed for lunch! The lunch specials come with a salad and the non-noodle lunches also include steamed rice. My veggie pad woon sen ($15) did not look like any pad woon sen that I've ever had. The noodles were much thicker and brown - as opposed to thin rice noodles that I'm used to. There wasn't much flavor to the dish either. The noodles for the pad see ew ($15) were much thinner than normal and the dish lacked that "wok hei" flavor that you get with a great pad see ew. On the positive side, the portions were generous. If I return, I'll try my luck with one of the curries. read more

The chicken satay was rubbery. The peanut sauce was good but nothing special. The pad Thai was mushy. Overcooked Basil beef. The favor was good but the beef was rubbery and tasted boiled and recooked. Hence 2 stars not 5. The red curry with chicken 3-4 stars. 5 star for being ready fast. Quick service. I was in the area and decided to get takeout and boy was it hugely disappointing. The coconut milk soup was really gritty and seemed like it was a powder that someone was too lazy to stir completely, it didn't taste good at all. I also got ginger chicken and it tasted like someone spilled a bag of sugar and a bottle of soy sauce over month old chicken. I had to throw it all away. My office was desperate for a last-minute lunch place during the holidays. We weren't able to order online because of the size of the order so we took it in and where it helped right away. We pick the order up the next day for 11 people +2 appetizers. Each entrée had its individual name written on it along with the rice which made passing them out easy. The food was extremely well packaged. It had all of the condiments and utensils we needed. The female manager/server with dark hair was so friendly when we picked it up. I think she was happy to have our large order overall. I ordered the lemongrass chicken level five spicy with a side of white rice. Other people in my party ordered cashew vegetables, yellow curry, red curry spice level six, papaya salad, Thai fried rice, Tom Yum soup, and veggie and chicken spring rolls. Right off of the Sand Canyon and the 405 Fwy, you'll find this at the Quail Hill Center along with a lot of other places to dine. Parking is ample but it does get full here. Since I was in the area, I wanted to try this place out for its Pad See Ew with Chicken, so that was the first dish I got to try and it was just ok. It came out exactly about 5 minutes after I had ordered and the noodles were not as thick as expected but it was more like Pad Thai noodles. Next I wanted to see how their curry would be and got the Panang Curry with Beef. The food was out within minutes and I liked the spicy level on this (even though I was never asked about it). Over all, the food was just ok, in my opinion just about average, and the service could be better. Maybe even a fake smile or a hello to greet the table. The portion was very generous, and they didn't add onions, per my request. However, the entire dish was bland. The noodles, shrimp, mushrooms, bean sprouts, carrots...everything except the red bell peppers, which were sweet. Even a tiny bit of salt would've helped. Been a customer for almost 15 years. Ambiance is upgraded compared to before and so are the prices to respect that. I mostly only come here for the triangle tofu with basil which is by far the best tofu preparation I've had considering all Thai restaurants and I've been to quite a few across the globe as Thai cuisine my favorite. Nothing beats the juicy saucy tangy spicy melt in your mouth tofu and sautéed veggies. The curry fried rice was, nothing special. The drunken noodles were ok but I've had better at many different spots. Our go to for Thai food! It's not very often we do dine in here, but occasionally, we'll get a wave of cravings. It's one of the few close options available on Postmates, but we also call-in for pick up as an alternative if the service fee for delivery is not agreeable. We are creatures of habit with our selections, so we haven't been met with any issues. Menus are available online too, so if I'm feeling adventurous, I do a random draw. Our usual choices vary from pad Thai, calamari or pad see ew. Quite honestly, the bf doesn't stray from his beef pad Thai. I believe the dish typically comes with chicken, but we sub our meat option with beef. For pad see ew, I usually do beef as well, but it's also enjoyable with chicken or tofu. If we're feeling extra hungry, we get the calamari appetizer. The portions are phenomenal here as well! The takeout boxes are plenty and I have no complaints! Other items I've tried have been the Far East fried rice, crispy tamarind fish, and rad na chicken. For dine in lunch (when restaurants allowed dine-in pre-covid), the meals came with free soup and salad. They also have a complimentary vegetarian version of soup, so you just had to let them know. Dined here at least a dozen times in past. I notice that the service and quality has gone down quite a bit. Entrees are a lot pricey and dishes seem smaller. My friend ordered a glass noodle dish with egg & the egg was no where to be seen. Also wait staff nor attentive and we have to keep asking for things like water, condiments, etc. Probably won't be coming here as much. read more

Hello Everyone It is hard to believe but this lil restaurant is really decent with their food. My wife and I have chowed here 3 times and all three occasions we were not disappointed. My wife recommends the Pad See Ew and I recommend the Coconut Basil Chicken. I have ordered their yellow Curry twice and thought it was pretty good. Why do we like this place? 1. They don't over sugar the dishes. I have eaten Thai food in the US and in Thailand, for some reason in America, they put way too much sugar. 2. They actually use higher quality meat (beef, chicken, etc) 3. The fresh Coconut was pure heavenly. That is on the sweeter side, but I think patrons want that. We'd just had possibly the best ever in Moab, UT so we're super hopeful but it really wasn't good. I ordered Black Pepper Chicken. It's listed as spicy but not at all. I missed the spice. There was a great ratio of vegetables to protein, in a good sauce, with a tiny salad dressed in a tart dressing. It was the perfect size, nice plating. He had yellow curry and no complaints.
