    Spicy Pork BBQ ($9.99)
    Abbe W.

My daughter was taking coding with Code Ninja for the summer camp so after I picked her up, we decided to check the surrounding for food. We went to Zion Market's food court. My daughter is extremely picky in a way she doesn't want too much sauce or sauce touching her food. So, I was surprised that she wanted to try the teriyaki chicken but she just wants chicken and rice. The owners (husband and wife presumably) were packing for a very large takeout order. The husband, the cook, took my order and I was very specific about just chicken and rice only, everything else on the side. He even asked me if green onions were OK. I told him on the side, only chicken and rice. He made it just as I described and my daughter loved it. She ate half of it and we took the other half to go. My daughter was happy and I'm happy too. He came out later to check on us to make sure we were OK and also gave my daughter a gummy snack! My lunch was spicy pork BBQ. Very yummy. Nice heat and very good over rice. I'm now motivated to try other dishes!

Located in Zion market, K-pop sushi is our goto whenever we are grocery shopping! K-pop sushi offers a variety of sushi rolls and hot foods. We have yet to try the hot foods but have tried several of their sushi rolls! They sometimes have a special where you buy one roll and get the second roll for 50% off! They usually put out a sign or I always ask if the special is offered. Some of our favorites here are the baked salmon roll, spider roll, shrimp tempura crunch roll, and California roll. The sushi is fairly priced and most of the time made to order. They may have some rolls already made placed in the fridge for you to choose from! A good place for some affordable sushi. I'd definitely recommend supporting and giving them a try! P.S. you can phone in your order, find them on postmates or ubereats. Sometimes they even have special promotions on the apps!

The food was great with a lot of seafood and the portion was definitely big. I would say for two people. Over all great

If you're looking for something quick, affordable, and delicious, K Pop Sushi is a great choice! It's also located in Zion Market if you want to get banchan such as kimchi or cucumber. There's also another location inside Wholesome Choice Market. Each time I visit, the cashier is always super sweet! I actually get the Korean food rather than the sushi. I highly recommend the Spicy Seafood noodle (I've gotten it twice!). It comes with a good amount of shrimp, clams, squid, and pork. I also really enjoyed the grilled vegetables and texture of the noodle. The squid udon was also delicious! My friends and I had to pass on the black bean noodle and sweet and sour pork. The "crunchy" pork was difficult to chew and the sauce was ok. Other than that, I'd definitely come back again to try different dishes.

Okay, restaurant name aside, this is a place I'll definitely be coming back to. Located inside Zion Mart, it's right across from the jjajangmyeon place. There's enough seating where you can order from either place to sit down and eat, but it can get pretty crowded. After browsing the mart for a long time while deciding what to eat for dinner, I settled on getting the hwae-deop-bap (raw fish with veggies and rice mixed altogether with gochujang and sesame oil) here for to-go. The ahjusshi working here (I presume he's the owner because he was the only one working there at that time) kindly told me my food will be ready in about 10-15 minutes. During that time, I was preoccupied with browsing all the side dishes in the refrigerated section, and the next thing I knew, he brought out my order. I got back home and ended up eating more than half of the food (I was stuffed, but the food was so good). The raw fish tasted fresh, there was more than enough sauce, and I think I got my weekly intake of veggies in one night. Rice cooked just right, and I loved the side of miso soup. After storing the leftovers in the fridge, I ate the remaining ~1/3 for lunch the next day. Still tasted as good. Value food worth 2 meals, was only around $11. Highly recommend!!

This was my first time trying sushi from this place. I was worried the recent stay home orders were going to keep me from writing reviews, but I realized we could get food delivered for free. The food was pretty decent for the price. I had a standard rainbow roll, which was $8. I didn't think the raw fish tasted too fresh, but I didn't really expect much out of a delivery. It still satisfied my sushi craving though! My husband had the shrimp tempura crunch roll ($9?) and he liked it, but the rice was a little soggy. Overall, we were fine with it because we didn't expect it to be top grade sushi, but good enough to fill our cravings!

Nice & friendly people. Clean & tasty food. I really got chills eating their cold soba noodle (Korean cold noodle "nang myun" style with soba). Icy cold broth - little spicy, little sour, & little sweet! Soba was cooked perfectly. Would be great thing for a HOT day~ Hubs ordered their seafood noodle. Big giant serving of spicy seafood base soup with noodles~ good heat and smoky flavors that he enjoyed very much. Even said that it is the best champong noodle in Irvine~ Portions are very generous. Offers combo specials and has a large menu. Great place for a quick meal!

Roll fillings were fine, but the rice was grotesque. Wet to the point of soggy and mushy. Just gross.

Horrible customer service and hospitality…read more I called to see if they could add a side of spicy mayo to my DoorDash order, and they flat out refused. Normally that wouldn't be a huge issue if there was actually a way to add it through the DoorDash menu, but there isn't. I explained that I was trying to pay for it and simply wanted to know how to do so, yet the woman I spoke with was incredibly rude and dismissive. Instead of trying to help find a solution, I was treated like I was inconveniencing them by asking a simple question. Good customer service is about helping customers (I've ordered there many times before and dined in person as well), especially when there's an issue with your online ordering setup. A small side of spicy mayo should not turn into an unpleasant interaction. The food may be decent, but customer service matters too. There are plenty of sushi restaurants that appreciate their customers and are willing to provide basic courtesy and assistance. Based on this experience, I won't be ordering from here again.

The albacore sushi was the highlight for me; it was very fresh. It may be odd to say, but the avocado on the sunset roll was noticably flavorful. We will be back. I am hoping to try the tuna and yellowtail sushi next time.

Everything tasted high quality and well prepared. The edamame was another standout--really well balanced with the perfect combination of spice and flavor. The house sake, was smooth and paired nicely with the meal and a cold Kirin. The restaurant itself was clean, comfortable, and inviting, and the service was friendly and attentive throughout our visit. As far as pricing goes, I actually felt it was right where it should be considering the quality of the food. You can tell they're putting care into what they serve, and I'm always willing to pay for quality and freshness. Overall, this was a great experience and definitely a place I'll be coming back to. Arrived on a Friday night around 5:30 PM and there was already a pretty decent line waiting to be seated. The interior dining area is fairly small, seating about 20 people total. We waited about 20 minutes for a party of three so not bad at all. The service was great, and the staff was super friendly and attentive. The interior dining area was a bit loud which was expected with how many folks were sitting in there eating and talking in addition to the music above, but it's manageable and nothing super overwhelming. Their menu is simple, but at the same time you have plenty of options. The go to order is obviously the Katsu combinations, which comes alongside a cabbage salad, miso soup, white rice, pickled daikon, and jalapeños, and don't forget their addictive katsu sauce. We tried their Hako Katsu, Hamburg Katsu, Cheese Katsu, potato croquettes, takoyaki, and shrimp tempura. Everything was well executed simple yet with a depth of flavor. Check out my photos for these items! We will absolutely be back and so glad that we finally tried this little hidden gem of a Katsu shop!

Hako is a local favorite in the OC, gaining viral popularity for serving up Japanese classics…read more After seeing the hype surrounding this spot, we finally decided to give it a try. Our order arrived quickly and was neatly packaged in a beautiful bento-style box, making for a great first impression. **Curry Tonkatsu: 5/5** The tonkatsu was the highlight, with golden, crispy breading and a pronounced crunch in every bite. The curry had a bold, deeply savory taste that complemented the cutlet exceptionally well. Steamed rice cut through the richness, while the crunchy cabbage salad provided a light, refreshing contrast. A side of pickled radish and jalapeños added a bright acidity, with the creamy, tangy katsu sauce pairing perfectly with the fried cutlet. Portion sizes were impressively generous, leaving plenty to enjoy later. We also upgraded to a combo with a California roll and gyoza, though both sides were fairly unremarkable by comparison. **Tanuki Udon: 5/5** Simple yet incredibly comforting, the tanuki udon featured a warm broth with a delicate sweetness and plenty of umami depth. The noodles were thick, chewy, and bouncy, making them especially satisfying to eat. An assortment of toppings further elevated the dish, layering in complex flavors and contrasting textures. Overall, Hako absolutely delivered with its delicious, well-executed dishes and is a must-try for anyone craving a hearty Japanese meal.
