Who doesn't love Krispy Kreme donuts?! When I found out they were releasing their first ever collection of doggie doughnuts, I had to get them for my pup, Zoe. They were released on National Dog Day 8/26 and available for sale throughout the weekend only. I got them for Zoe's 4th birthday 8/28, which just happened to be the same weekend of the release. Each limited edition box of doggie doughnuts comes with 6 dog-friendly donut shaped biscuits. They are peanut butter based, made with all natural ingredients, and are inspired by Krispy Kreme's most popular flavors: original glazed, chocolate cookie, chocolate sprinkles, chocolate iced, strawberry sprinkles, and chocolate cheesecake. They do not contain any chocolate and are made with carob, a chocolate substitute. The doggie doughnuts were frosted flat cookies and were kind of hard to me. It was not that easy to break into smaller pieces. Zoe seemed to enjoy them though and got excited every time I said donuts to her. She would come running and jumping every time I opened the box. She gives doggie doughnuts 2 paws up! This Krispy Kreme location is awesome and the donuts are always delicious and fresh. I've placed a few online orders and they've always been accurate and ready at the scheduled time. I appreciate that they have a convenient drive thru, although I've never taken advantage of it. I love love krispy kreme. One of my favorite classic donut place. I usually get the regular glazed donuts but this time I went to get the Valentines Day special box. I went there in the early morning at 6:20am and there was already a long line. It was very busy in the 6:20am!! They offered a glazed donut to each person in line, just to make us happy while waiting in the long line. It was super nice of them! Quick and good service. They will always ask if you want a beverage -- so be prepared. This is how they take more of your money LOL. Ok, so it's a standard Krispy Kreme with a drive thru, which makes things extra easy. Both the drive thru and going inside will have knowledgeable staff to help you with your questions. I prefer the assorted minis even though it comes in limited flavor options. I find their donuts too sweet compared to the local mom and pop shop donuts, so it's nice to have smaller donut options. Went thru drive thru this morning. Window worker barely spoke English. She stated the dozen original glazed were hot. They were not. Also did not make the two coffees we ordered correctly. Simple 3 shots of espresso in a small cup filled with milk. Spent $30 for crappy service, crappy coffee, and terrible donuts. Wait time was also long because speaker wasn't working so everyone had to place order at the window. Restaurants are really slacking on professionalism and product quality yet they charge more now. The app totally sucks and is the same crappy bugged app from 10 yrs ago with no improvements. This store manager "Mama" is fantastic, super friendly and overwhelmed with sub par help. The special Christmas donuts look like a kindergarten class made it. Shaky wavy lines, messy dipped, sloppy absolute shit show (Santa's belly belt looked like melted elastic from being too long in the dryer), but delicious tasting. The young workers have zero pride in what they make. They also took away their coffee combo discount which is total shit, but not the store's fault. I had a bad experience at this location. First off the drive thru speaker was broken so we had to pull up to the window, per the instructions on the menu board. Second I arrive at the window and nobody attends to us. One worker walks by while on her phone and sees us waiting in the car. She proceeds to walk by and not help us. I went here on Monday this week for the free dozen donuts for healthcare workers day. When I arrived around 6pm, there was a sign on their door saying healthcare workers have to order at the drive thru. Luckily, I was in a car so I was able to order at the drive thru, but it's not fair the ones who don't drive. The line for the drive thru was very long that day too! It took about 25 minutes to reach the front of the line. I was still able to get redeem my free dozen of original glazed donuts even though I was in the passenger side of the car. While I understand that things happen, it does not excuse the fact that not one of them even apologized for the inconvenience. No one trained them to offer basic customer service. After waiting for more than half an hour (what is the point in ordering online if I show up and wait longer than everyone else), they called me up. When I opened the box to check that everything was correct, surprise, it was not correct. My holiday dozen had no grinch donuts, they replaced them with the plain glazed donuts. They didn't even tell me, and hoped I wouldn't notice! The employee said it was because the grinch ones wouldn't fit in the box. Why would they advertise it this way and charge extra for this seasonal dozen if it would not fit? I told them to take it back and at least replace it with different holiday ones that would "fit". After all, the seasonal dozens cost more, how are they going to replace it with their cheapest donuts and call it even? They ended up replacing it with the sprinkles ones, but that's still replacing my grinch ones with donuts that are half the price. 4/24/22 Typical Kispy Kreme for these days. It's sad really--I think of all the big food chains out there, Krispy Kreme started among the highest, and ended among the lowest. I still remember the day where there were only a couple in California, and every store that opened was just amazenuts.... everything was super fresh, "samples" (read: free doughnuts) were plentiful, and you got to see the doughnuts get made through the glass, fresh, constantly.......... Those were the days. Anyway still remember that? Anyway, I guess par for them now is somewhat stale, always cold, but if you got lucky with your timing it might be .... less stale. Today's, here, the cream filled I got was funny shaped--not oval, and I think I can kinda see some limbs starting to grow out the side. I did like the sugar coated one--it was also kinda funny looking, like a skinny balloon half deflated. But it was actually very airy--so airy that after my gf took a bite and gave the rest to me it smushed into a pancake. I went on free donut dozen for healthcare workers Monday during Covid19 in May, but was told to come another day because it was too crowded said the Krispy Kreme attendant standing in parking lot. So I went on Sunday and walked into the nice clean store. I still saw workers making donuts through the glass windows. While there I thought I might as well get the free dozen and buy another dozen for work and then buy myself specialty donuts to keep at home. I am not a Krispy Kreme fan because the texture is very light like air. I always think to myself, did I eat anything because it just went through me! LOL I did enjoy the fillings ones more the chocolate coating with white cream inside and the glazed with cream filling was yummy in my tummy! I didn't like the strawberry filling one. I heard about the first responder discount for donuts so I decided to buy 6 dozen. I planned to drop it off at several firehouses and police stations in San Francisco. I got to the Daly City location and asked if they honored the first responder promotion. I figured she would say yes but I didn't want to sound presumptive. She looked at me funny and said no. I responded that I thought there was a promotion. She said only First Responders. I asked about police and fire and she said, "No, only on Mondays. And you have to show your badge and ID" I showed her my badge and ID and she refused and indicated that... "only hospital workers get a discount". At $16 a dozen, that's a lot of money to spend so the promotion would have helped buying six dozen. I wasn't going to make a scene. I "assumed" it was just another uninformed employee.
