The best of the best donuts. My favorites over the past 30 + years are Lemon Filled, Chocolate Custard filled and Original Glazed in that order. I was overwhelmingly disappointed to learn that my favorite Lemon Filled donuts were removed from the menu. I like the classics that have kept me a loyal Krispy Kreme fan for decades. This location has become the ultimate disappointment! Why are they even still open? The only thing they have going for them is the Krispy Kreme name and reputation which they have ruined for this location. We gave them their last chance last night. We had promised the grandkids that we would go after seeing the Christmas lights in McAdenville. We started that tradition years ago. Going inside and seeing the doughnuts being made and getting to choose from all the beautiful colored creations of sweetness used to be magical. I went to the store in Gastonia NC on 8/28/2025. Service was horrible! After 20 minutes finally got to the kiosk to order. I asked for a dozen filled donuts & specified the ones I wanted. Several things I asked for they didn't have. When I finally got to the pickup window the lady tried to give me all regular donuts. Which is not what I paid for! Called from home at 7:30 PM to ask what time they close tonight. Was told 10 PM. Drove to the location and they had a hand written sign saying Closed at 8:30 PM. People were inside working. This is the third time within this month that I have gone to Krispy Kreme in Gastonia and they have either had NO donuts for sale or NO original glazed donuts. This is not at closing, this is between the hours of 5pm-8pm. NeverMind the hot sign, can we just be able to order and get glazed donuts. This time as I was looking at racks of decorative donuts in the back, we were told that their machine is broken so they cannot produce the amount they use to produce. You know I can't say anything negative about someone who brings me hot donuts. I live to see the Hot sign as I drive down Franklin Blvd. I about wreck my car. I typically walk in as they line is most times shorter on the inside. The people's working there have been very nice. They take my order quickly and deliver efficiently. I have been talked into buying more than I went in for on several occasions. It wasn't a hard sell. The donuts are warm, soft and... well you know. What is going on???? Usually this location has a line, inside & out. Last few times I've driven by there's been no line & thought that was weird. Went by this morning and got some assorted donuts. My glazed donuts look like they were made yesterday. There is no way this were made today. It's takes a while for the glaze to look cracked. They are also cold, like been in a refrigerator cold & taste greasy. I'm not sure what is going on at this location but I am not inclined to go back. I stopped going to this store because they never have the donuts I want. They're told by upper management how many to make of each variety, based on sales from the previous week. This is stupid because they can only sell as many as they have. Since they never make enough, the numbers never change because they always sell out. If you place an online order of a custom dozen and they're able to partially fill your order because they're out of some of the donuts, the website doesn't tell you and you find out when you get there. Oh, and they've not had the pumpkin spice cake donuts for almost a month because their mixer is broken. However, they're still on the drive-thru and website menus. I've complained via the store website and by calling their customer service line, always requesting to be contacted. It's a complete waste of time because not once have I ever received so much as an email. They replied with a generic form letter and coupon for a free original glazed dozen, but they can keep that sh*t. The district manager and higher- ups at this store are doing a horrible job, and the company doesn't seem to give a single f*@!. This location deserves a negative one-star rating. Fortunately, I work in Charlotte and my office is close to the Sharon Amity store, where I don't have these problems. read more

Decided to go inside because the line was wrapped around the building.. they had maybe 50 donuts left total.. the guys were kinda just messing around at the front counter and told me that what they had, was all that was left. The store is a Krispy Kreme which means good donuts, but occasionally they will be out or long wait times if they need to make more. This being said many of these one star reviews are absolutely ridiculous. Mom and Pop shops are the best, and will be better than kk but most of the negative reviews can be described as people just with the "customer is always right mentality." So they have good donuts, but their high demand can mean you don't always get them instantly. Please think before leaving a harsh comment because a service worker didn't treat you like a king/queen. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and assumed it was a bad day. Went back today because of their offer to give me a free dozen glazed with the purchase of any dozen. It was TERRIBLE! The doughnuts are all old and it's mid afternoon on a Saturday with lots of customers. They are definitely smaller.
