I was there on 03/05/22. The bathrooms were horrible. Oh my stars. They hadn't been cleaned in days! The employee got my order completely wrong. When I went back in to get what I actually ordered. the employee took out the wrong donuts from my box (which I had taken out to my car and found out that they were not what I ordered) and put them back on the tray in the display case to resell to other customers. I was shocked, appalled, and horrified to see the employee do that. I didn't touch the donuts but wow! How amazing! This was one of the worst transactions I have ever had at a business. Especially if you add Covid to the mix. Atrocious is the only word to use for the training, customer service, and performance of the two teenage employees on shift that day. This is just the tip of the iceberg on what happened that day. DO NOT go to this Krispy Kreme. This is a warning. Putting back donuts that have left the store and then returned is so wrong on so many levels. The Department of Health would have them shut down so fast. Very few food experiences can compare to eating a hot donut fresh off of the production line! However, be sure to eat it before it cools or you'll be gagging from the overly sweet glaze that covers most of Krispy Kreme's offerings. For my birthday, we ended up going to the Krispy Kreme Doughnuts in Issaquah, WA. It was early in the morning and it took us a long time to get there. Did you know that Krispy Kreme no longer gives out free original glazed doughnuts when the "hot now" sign is on? It was our first time at this Issaquah location and it will definitely be the last time for this particular store. The employees were really grumpy and the doughnuts tasted like they were three days old, except for the original glazed since the "hot now" sign was lit. The original glazed doughnuts were warm and tasted fine. The maple bars were very, very stale with very little maple frosting on it; the chocolate iced Kreme filled doughnuts had a tiny dot of cream in it; the glazed chocolate cake and glazed sour cream doughnuts were super dry; the apple fritter tasted ok. Most disappointing was paying extra for the giant chocolate cupcakes, which were crumbly and only had about a dime-sized amount of cream filling. And these cupcakes are twice the size of the Hostess cupcakes! Needless to say, it was a disappointing morning on my birthday. From now on, we will be sticking to our local doughnut shop because I know they only sell the freshest made doughnuts and the employees always seem happy to see you. read more

There is nothing like a fresh donut and Krispy Kreme is a place where fresh donuts are always available. I just love watching the production line as it proofs the dough, cooks on one side, and flips it to the other side. The segments on manufacturing lines on Mr Rogers were always my favorites. But on top of watching the production line, munching on a fresh donut is alright, too. I don't understand why they give you a free donut - if you go in to buy a donut and eat it there, you still get a free one. How many donuts can a person eat? There coffee isn't the best, but you come here for the donut. Mmm. Donuts. I am a huge Krispe Kreme fan and have been to multiple KK's from all over, and this is probably the worst one. I live about 15 minutes from this one and when my nephew comes to visit he begs me to take him to Krispe Kreme, too bad its this location. We always try and go early in the morning because that seems to be the only time of day you can get a hot donut. The past two times we have pulled into a "hot now" sign only to find out after we have bought them that they are not hot. Turned around and returned it asking why the sign was on. Told us the machine was about to start going and it would be about 20 minutes... then don't but on your "hot NOW" sign if they aren't hot now. read more

I've been here twice now and I like the location in the busy area of Issaquah. The parking lot can be a bit tricky but as long as you're paying attention, you'll be fine. The inside and out is generally clean and well stocked. Especially since this location is fairly busy. The donut making conveyor system is in plain view, which is fun for pictures but kinda grossed me out a bit. It didn't look like it's ever been cleaned. The employees are very frank and to the point. So come in, order what you want, and get out. This isn't a fun, stand and chatter type place. It's too busy for that! The bathrooms are kept locked but the employees are happy to give you the code if needed. In all, if you love donuts, you'll love this place and it's convenient location and drive thru! read more

While I admit I'm not that big of a donut fan in general Krispy Kreme makes me happy. The customer service at this location is always great no matter if it's 6am or early evening. Reviewing to say that I'm sad that this Krispy Kreme (and perhaps other locations, too??) have eliminated their half-prize dozen in their last hour before closing. The rationale I was given at the counter was because they now close at 9pm, and the deal was usually between 10-11pm, they no longer offer it... I'm guessing those last two hours weren't as profitable, which is a bummer for someone like me who didn't mind the end-of-the-day doughnuts! They have at least 20 flavors and some specialty flavors too. Come after 10 PM and you get them at half price. Take a dozen to work next morning and earn all the oohs! and aahs! from folks from other states as they have closed KK outlets in many states. I am not a doughnut fan but my kid is one. Doughnuts are OK. I have tasted better. But it is convenient when you have a get together at office and you need to bring these. Came today and it was pouring rain. They don't have a cover when you order so all of your side gets wet inside the car. When I reached the window the lady had a smile and she is going to give me the dozen in a box and I kindly asked for a bag please. I asked for a box because is raining hard and I just cant walk with the box to my office under the rain. She should have asked" Do you need a bag?". Her smile disappeared and she looked bothered by it. When she gave me back the card and box there was no thank you. I also did not say thank you because it is not worth it to deal with this kind of employee. Bleh. All the three were not minority and I am. I remember driving all the way from Puyallup to Issaquah when Krispy Kreme first opened up here just to get a donut. I hadn't been in at least a year or so and happened to be in Issaquah again. I bought a original and a custard filled. I had high hopes considering how much I use to love these donuts. I almost finished the custard filled and already felt a little disappointed and tossed the last few bites away. I then went for the original that was always a sure thing back in the day and after two bites I threw that one away as well. It tasted very greasy. They are pricier than other shops but they are also totally different than your standard doughnut shop. Around $13 for a mixed Dz vs $6 for a regular shop. This location is clean and the gal I interacted with today was super nice. She up sold me on some coffee but it hit the spot. They rotate through with some special flavors. The Krispy Kreme in Issaquah is the best doughnut shop I've ever been to in my life!We actually had a field trip especially to the shop to eat and taste the best doughnut in the area. We squeeze in a van and our teacher drove us straight to Krispy Kreme last Thursday. The first thing that stands out was a huge doughnut machine behind the window and it was ready to turn on in every minute to make hot doughnut. The design in the room is like a classic fast food restaurant. The worker in the shop seems to have a passion of their job and like to eat doughnuts, when I was buying the doughnuts they always give me considerable advices about the taste and what is their favorite one. They were patient to wait for me to pick up what my doughnuts coz I always change my mind. I had a strawberry iced sprinkle that day, it was in a round shape like other doughnuts but with pink good-looking sauce on it. The fried dough now appears in an attractive gold color, and the dough can perfectly collect the icing sugar and let it stays on the doughnut. Grab a napkin, pick up the doughnut and ready to have a first bite. It was just perfect, it smells good when it was close to you face, the taste with sugar and butter spread through my mouth. The outer shell of the doughnut was actually crispy but it had a soft inside made it balanced the taste really well. It would be even more perfect if we can order some coffee and drink it with the doughnuts, one is bitter on is sweeter, they not only look good but actually taste good. It was like having a vacation in California and walk on the sunny beach and enjoying the sunshine of it. I bought half dozens of doughnuts back home to share this feeling with my family and they also like it. It would be better if I can taste the hot doughnuts of the shop coz they only make it early in the morning and late afternoon, everything is good except the hot doughnuts. The husband and I love to come here to treat ourselves. Great price, great doughnuts. Also we love that Krispy Kreme has monthly flavors. Plus for half a dozen doughnuts it is like six bucks so we can get some for tomorrow as well. My favorite is the original but my husband loves anything with chocolate in it. The only reason why they get hour stars is because at times the doughnuts can be TOO sweet. So buy some milk or coffee. This is a very clean location with friendly staff. If I could put zero stars I would. Took my girlfriend to work today and stopped in at the Issaquah location in Washington, mind you it's also her birthday. We ordered a dozen original glazed donuts and a few extra. We made sure we gave ourselves time for the extra trip so she wouldn't be late to work. As we were on the road again, donuts received; we looked into the box of a dozen glazed and I seriously thought they had given us a dozen of Walmart plain and burnt donuts. They didn't even look appealing to us so we turned around and went back. Now they should be thankful they dealt with my girlfriend and not me because I would have force fed them some of their very own crappy donuts. It's not about the donuts either it's about taking pride in the company and their work. Worst customer service too and the manager just blamed her new employee rather than taking responsibility because obviously she can't teach someone to do something the right way. Therefor her title should switched to custodian, but then again she probably couldn't even do that right. Anyways, I know people mess up and not everything's perfect but a little notice about how crappy the donuts they were going to sell us were going to be would have been nice. When we were ordering the manager kept giving us attitude . She kept ringing other people behind us and kept ignoring us. The employee ended up coming and apologizing for waiting so long and to be honest he was the only one working . She kept looking at us and not even bother to ask us if we needed anything. I was very annoyed with her and the way she was talking to the employee there was unacceptable . Like I said the employee was great but the manager was too rude. It's a chain I know But it's a chain tho. This may undermine every review/opinion I have had or ever will have regarding food but to date Krispy Kreme is still my go to for consistently delicious donuts. Thanks to a more health conscious world the mighty Kreme is now a shadow of what it once was, where back in its heyday these nostalgia factories used to dot as many corners as Starbucks they have since receded to near Mom/Pops levels for a chain. Relegated to what I can only imagine their corporate masters figured was one of their remaining profitable locations the Issaquah Krispy Kreme has been a fine reminder of a simpler time. A chain is still a chain and the service, transient as it can be in the fast food industry is subject to change with the seasons. The building is kept clean, seating plentiful and the decor/automated donut maker are neat. But it's the donut at the end of the tunnel we want and wether you've had one today or ten years ago they will be just as decadent. Priced cheaply the sin is not in how much you'll spend but how much you eat and how little you'll want to share. Some donuts are seasonal making each visit a return to something familiar while enjoying something new. Personally I'm partial to their cake batter donut, pillowy soft and filled with smooth rich Kreme and cake batter filling. So yeah, my recommend is a chain but there is something to be said when a restaurant can pave the road to heaven with a delectable dozen or so sins. read more

Hubby is pretty much house-bound and doesn't go out even for sweets he craves but KKs are one of the few thing he'll actually specify to bring home when I go on my respite runs. When we first arrived in Redmond from FL, he was very disappointed that there wasn't a KK within a decent distance. When we moved up to Issaquah to build our home, he was pretty much jumping up and down when he realized we were within 2 miles of one. For him, it's the custard filled, chocolate iced ones. I buy 3 at a time for him because any more and they won't be edible -- he only gets one a day... They hold up well on the counter for that amount of time. We tried refrigerating them once but that was a mistake. When they come out into room temp air, they just get all drippy and soggy -- not nice so we won't be doing that again. We're close enough that we just get a few at a time. They ARE expensive though, IMHO. Hubby thinks these are about on par with Top Pot's version of the Boston Cream donut. I can pick those up at the QFC for 79 cents and I think they're actually a little bigger than KKs... We're awaiting the opening of a new Top Pot location in Issaquah off of Gilman by the Sports Authority -- we'll give them a try and see how ones coming directly from a TP store compare with the KKs! I've never been inside this Issaquah KK location but I've used the drive-through plenty of times. The customer service has always been very good, prompt and without any glitches. The speaker at the order board is (thankfully) a good piece of equipment -- they can hear me and I can hear them. Unusual but appreciated! We were sad that the store didn't offer 2013 KK calendars at the Christmas holiday. It's the first year in a long time that we haven't picked one up. Hopefully, next year they'll be back! read more

We were pleasantly surprised to arrive at Krispy Kreme around 11 pm, to find that after 10 pm the donuts, for a dozen, are half priced! We only spent around 5.99 for the classic glazed.. The only thing to be cautious about is that if you go that late to buy a dozen, the donuts are not going to be hot anymore... And I don't know about you but a Krispy Kreme donut that is not hot, just makes it feel like you are eating just a regular donut - we need those heated! Anyhow! I don't usually eat doughnuts but occasionally want a little treat and this location is less than a mile from my home. Doughnuts here are ok, nothing spectacular. The reason I am even writing this review is the service at the location. The tall guy managing the drive through orders and also helping out with the orders inside the store seems to fall all over himself to help the white customers in the store and avoid dealing with those that are not. He pretty much looked through me when I was in line and looked to help the customers behind me. Then did not hand me my (2) doughnuts and told me that the other person (shorter guy who was nice and polite btw) would cash me out even though the register was right by his elbow. I saw him cash out 2 customers (both white) while I was in the store. Shame on Krispy Kreme for this type of employee, maybe they should be moved to stores in areas with their preferred demographic.
