I've never met a donut that I don't LOVE and Krispy Kreme never disappoints - especially when the "Hot Light" is illuminated!!! At this particular location tho, there is an employee that stands out as a true STAR - her name is Lynn! Every customer is greeted with a HUGE SMILE and a warm welcome. I often come in with my service dog "Biggie", and Lynn, being a true animal lover - always offers Biggie a free cup of whip creame as a little treat, which is such a kind gesture! Lynn's effervescent, enthusiastic energy is both refreshing and contagious - She is NOT just another burned out employee. She is an excellent face and representation for Krispy Kreme as a brand. Her attitude and kindness goes hand in hand with the sweetness of the donuts themselves! I hope the Rancho Mirage Krispy Kreme location manager(s) know what a GEM they have in Lynn. read more

This store needs some improvement. Yesterday, I specifically waited in the parking lot so that I could go when the "hot light" hours would start at 5:30pm I entered the drive thru @5:40pm and when I received my dozen of glazed donuts, nothing was "hot". Not only that, but the icing on the donuts could use a little improvement. I also received incorrect donuts in my assorted dozen. However, was friendly and maybe they're still working things out since it is a new store. BTW does this store have. "Hot light" I drove around the store and could not seem to find it. read more

It seemed that they were not prepared for the onslaught of customers on St Patrick's day. The drive-through was backed-up, so I ventured inside and waited in line for 30-minutes. It's easy to be entertained watching the donuts being made. The queue moved very slowly inside, not sure about the drive-through. I found it interesting that the donuts coming off the production line were being placed on trays instead of just placing them in boxes. Anyways, just seemed inefficient. At one point while waiting, a customer walked right in from the parking lot, went up to the donut case to browse and was able to make her selection and avoid the line completely. I didn't say anything to her; it was St Paddy's Day and obviously her lucky day! The green donuts were more dense than a normal KK donut and were not as good; they seemed under cooked. If I were to do it again, I would place an online order as they seemed to be focusing on fulfilling those orders first. This place is great. I went there 4 days after they opened and the line was out the door and the drive thru had at least 20 cars in line ready to order . I was there when they had the red light on so the donuts were still warm and fresh. The girls at the counter were so friendly. I know I will be going back quite often. The employees were nice, gave my kids a hat, my girls got to see the donuts being made, and got a fresh one off the line while they watched. I read an ad that said people could get a free donut if they showed a COVID-19 vaccination card. So I went through the drive-through and ordered the chocolate donut with custard. The young woman told me the total charge for that donut and my drink would be a little over five dollars! I asked her why in the world would I have to pay that much if it was a free donut. She said I was paying for the custard inside and for my drink! I couldn't believe it! It was crazy! A free donut but I had to pay for the custard inside? That doesn't sound right. So I asked her which ones could I get for free. And she said the only one that I could get for free, was the glazed donut. There was no mention of this in the ad. So, I ordered the glazed donut and my small drink and I still had to pay over three dollars! The drink looks like it is in a child's cup and as you can see, it fits in the palm of my hand! I had to laugh because I was not expecting this! The young woman was somewhat snobby about explaining this to me and she seemed like she was in a rush. There were no other cars behind me and the place seemed somewhat empty since it was in the late afternoon. So, I was baffled about her attitude. But of course, we all have our bad days. Almost impossible to catch this place open. The hours are laughable...closed on Wednesdays and at 3:00pm other days. I've stopped by twice when the "Hot Now" sign was lit up only to find that upon entering the store there was indeed no hot doughnuts being run. When I suggest they turn the sign off...they looked at me as if I had two heads. Hot doughnuts are sometimes barely warm at this location as they don't give you the most recent doughnuts. This place is so unpredictable...I live near and it's a waste of time. I hope this Krispy Kreme Location gets new management or new owners soon...it's struggled for so long. The donuts from this location in Rancho Mirage are far below KK's standards. The original glazed donuts are too sweet. The glaze is just packed on. Once you bite into them, all the glaze flakes off. The inside is pretty gnarly too with donuts falling on the floor. And the other donuts have been stale both times that I've tried them. This location needs help ASAP. This was my first time at this location since they opened. I went on a Sunday about 9:30 in the morning and I thought for sure it would be packed. there were people there,but it went very smoothly. They do have a drive-through,but I chose to go inside to see what they had. Nothing more frustrating then when you order at the drive-through and they're out of your favorite doughnut! When I went in, I was greeted immediately by the nicest woman-I wish I knew her name. She helped me get my dozen and sent me to the next person who rang me up. The whole process was seamless. The service here is so upbeat, they seem to love where they work, and I was very pleased and surprised to see the enthusiasm. The donuts were fresh, light, and absolutely delicious. My favorites are the New York Cheesecake, frosted chocolate and the original. But they are all good. I remember Krispy Kreme from years ago. Things are no where near what I remember. Drive through service took forever....slow! Prices are very high. Average donuts prices in our community are 50 cents to $1.29. KK starts at $1.69 each! Evidently there are no more freebies. I always remember being offered a complimentary one. As for the product, if I blindfolded myself before eating it, the only flavors are fake vanilla and sugar. The chocolate covered ones also taste of fake vanilla.. no chocolate flavor. The workers were very optimistic and made the donuts as fast as possible and by the time they had run out of a flavor, a new batch of it was almost ready. Everyone there was so sweet my kids got free mini doughnuts and the place is really nice to eat in! They have a cool doughnut factory in the back and it's so much fun to watch it make doughnuts! Had to see if they were as good as the original. They weren't. The Classic Donut was not the same as I remember. When you bit into it it totally collapsed and became flat as paper. We have been here a few times since they opened and the donuts are good but the real problem is the filling with most of them, almost all of the filled donuts are severely under filled, and to be honest I have actually gotten some that were supposed to be filled but were empty, this is really disappointing considering the reputation. The rather uninspired worker told me were out of Apple fritters when I asked why she said they were to busy to make them.
