Wow.. I love Krispy Kreme. I have to say when I was 13 years old, I ate two dozen glazed donuts from Krispy Kreme in one sitting and was extremely sick afterwards, ever since then the thought of donuts ESPECIALLY from Krispy Kreme made me feel sick to my stomach. Just recently we started going again (on Wednesdays for family fun night) and I've gotten back into eating donuts. Their donuts are by far the best I've ever had, every month they always have specials and they have different donuts to change it up. The people who work here are really friendly and accomodating. Everytime I've gone, we've always been greeted with a smile and a fresh, hot donut! Even in the mornings when I stop to pick up some donuts, the people are always really friendly and helpful. The coffee here is by far the best, just strong enough and tastes delicious! Like I said, on Wednesdays they have "family fun night" where kids can go to color pictures, do arts/crafts, make their own chocolate sprinkled donut.. It's a lot of fun, something my toddler really enjoys doing! I am not a Krispy Kreme fan. It is not because of their service or the cleanliness of their stores. It is because of their product. I think their doughnuts are over-rated and not the best around. I have been to the IH-10W location a few times. Though it is usually clean, there have been times when the tables and floors have been cluttered with napkins and left dirty. But this is somewhat understandable during the morning rush. Likewise, the service is good. I have never had a bad experience when ordering at the counter or drive-thru. Service is prompt and fairly courteous. I actually also like the constant variety of flavors that this chain offers. From S'mores doughnuts to special Halloween flavors to dark chocolate strawberry doughnuts for Valentine's Day. I even greatly appreciate the complimentary fresh hot doughnut that is offered as you enter the store. My problem is that I don't think their doughnuts are good; they are too doughy and overly sweet. I realize that doughnuts are supposed to be sweet, but the amount of sugar in Krispy Kremes almost make my teeth hurt. My least favorite is the plain glazed doughnut. For some reason, the plain glazed reminds me of cotton candy. When it is warm, it almost melts in the mouth. I like to chew and savor a plain glazed doughnut. I like to swirl it around in my mouth with some coffee. And I can't do that with a Krispy Kreme plain glazed. In my opinion, Dunkin Donuts and Daylight Donuts are much, much better. read more

When ever I walk through the door I'm greeted with a free sample of their fresh, hot glazed doughnut picked straight off their fancy doughnut assembly machine from the future. That is true customer service to me and one of the reason's I love coming back to Krispy Kreme. One day, I'd like to be able to turn around and leave without filling my belly with more doughnuts but so far I've been powerless to resist. Their doughnuts are always hot, fresh and melt in your mouth good. They've branched out into selling kolaches but they haven't quite figure out how to make quality kolaches. But I'm ok with that. Nice location on the feeder road to the intestate in San Antonio. During my visit there was actually lots of people eating food, and drinking beverages. I really don't think that I have to say much about this place. They are open really late... even on weekdays which is a great thing in San Antonio because everywhere else in the city seems to close at 9 or 10. Not because they're bad, but because they're so freaking unhealthy. But each bite of their original glazed donut was exactly what you expect. Sweet, airy, fluffy. I also decided to try something new -- a lemon creme filled donut. What I expected: a donut evenly filled with lemon creme. What I got: a donut with lemon creme on one side of it, and lots of it. Doughnuts are good, but the crullers are atrocious! First of all, it's not a cruller. It's shaped like one, but that's it. It's a regular glazed cake/sour cream type doughnut and a stale one at that. I'm from north Austin so I was raised to think that Round Rock Donuts are the standard. That being said Krispy Kreme is not bad, but it's that awkward moment where every bite you're calculating how many steps that is on a treadmill to burn those calories. The worst experience ever at the Krispy Kreme on DeZavala. I tried more than once to schedule a party for a Girl Scout Daisy troop of six year olds. I was given wrong information both times and now I am told they don't have the staff so the party is canceled. If you want your donuts or want a party, go somewhere else.
