Wow! We were pleasantly surprised by this place. The chicken is juicy and the skin is crunchy. The biscuits were buttery and gently sweet. The fries were also great. The prices are great here too. We ordered 5 breasts, 12 biscuits, and a family sized fries, and the bill was around 20 bucks. This is going to be our new chicken place from now on. Absolutely livid. Delivery driver did not have sufficient change. When I called to talk to them, they said that the company that delivers is separate from the restaurant. They couldn't call the delivery driver and tell him to come back and give me change. The number they supplied me to complain went straight to voicemail. Chicken was good, but not worth forty bucks! I've order from here three times now, and while the chicken is great even when delivered they have failed to deliver my full order two of the three times I've ordered from them. Both times when I called to complain they first refused to deliver the rest of my order and and then after arguing with the person on the phone I was finally able to get them to refund the undelivered items. Lol...pretty good fried chicken out this little Citgo gas station. I was pleasantly surprised especially, with their deep fried corn. I've never had deep fried corn before and was fairly impressed. I now crave it! I did also try their fried catfish and I'll have to pass on that. The chicken has good, crispy batter with a mild heat to it. Fries are decent when they're hot. I haven't tried anything else off their menu but the chicken pieces. My daughter's and bf LOVES their honey butter biscuits. Would I go there again, YES actually! Bottom line: these are the best traditional style wings you can get in Edgewater. In fact, the only better wings I have had were at BWW, however that place is HELLA inconsistent (i.e. half the time the wings are precooked or dry as hell). Obviously this is not a 5 star dining restaurant, but it ia 5 star fried chicken place! I was really worried about the delivery after reading the reviews, but I had to have delivery. I called at 6 pm and Lilly took my order. She was very pleasant and efficient. I ordered 40 appetizer wings for my party. She said she would try to have them here at 7:30 which would have been perfect. At 7:00, Ahn delivered my very hot and delicious wings! He is the best delivery person ever! He lets you know his progress. And it was great that the wings came early. I didn't have to worry and just put them on a hot tray to keep warm. Chicken from a gas station - the best! And, as far as I know, the only place in Edgewater that will deliver wings. Im a 19 year old woman and I decided to go to Krispy chicken by my self at 8 pm because I was hungry and live around that area. The vibe was so weird for some reason there was 5 people working and in the time that I was there only one other customer had gone in. As soon as I walked in the guys kept looking at me up and down the cook even got out of his little hidden area to peek at me and stared dead at me for 5 minutes. I was planning to eat there but the vibe was so weird and the tables were so dirty I felt like I was going to get kidnapped because the whole time there were just staring me down while I ate. I've lived in the Andersonville/Edgewater community for the better part of the last decade and there haven't been a lot of options for good fried chicken. So you can imagine my excitement when I drove past the Krispy Krunchy Chichen on Peterson and saw the grand opening signs. I went there about a week later using a coupon I received in a mailer and I was not disappointed. My order was freshly dropped and the store manager generously added a free beverage. The chicken was excellent, a cut above KFC and Popeye's and on par with Harold's. The biggest surprise, however, were the biscuits, which were sweet and fluffy as opposed to buttery and flaky. Obviously, it's a matter of taste, but I appreciated trying something a little different. Give this place a shot. I might become your go-to for fried chicken as well! read more

I wish that I could give them zero stars. I placed my order at 5:10pm and was told that it should be here between 6:00-6:10pm. At 6:30 I called the restuarant to ask what was taking so long and they said to give it 10 more minutes. At 6:57 I called back and asked them for a refund and they seemed reluctant to do so. By then the driver had finally arrived. I asked the driver what took so long and he told me that they sent him on 4 other deliveries. When I got my food it was soggy and cold so I called the restuarant and asked for some type of credit because my food was cold and he basically called me a lot and told me "I know the food is hot because I just sent it out 10 minutes ago" so I told him I would never order from them again. When I got on grubhub to write a review, there was no link to do so and when I tried to call grubhub to report this problem I was out on hold for 15 minutes.
