I've been taking my vehicle to this location for two years. They always greet me and provide fast, friendly, reliable service. They give me exactly what I ask for and never try to sell me anything. If they see something that might be an issue with my vehicle, they point it out and offer a quote, but don't push the issue. I've mostly dealt with John and Ryan - they are both personable and knowledgeable. With the reasonable prices and friendly service, this place is a winner in my book! read more

Very disappointing customer service. I was in Austin and had a few extra minutes to get my oil changed. Check in was quick and friendly but when I got back to my vehicle I noticed it had not been vacuumed. I looked at the receipt and it indicated that I had declined the service as well as several other things they were supposed to do but didn't. Went back in to ask it that was part of their 21 point service or an extra charge. Employee at desk told me vacuum was broken and "it was easier to show it as declined than have to explain it". I left not very happy. Employee came running out to my car, tapped on my window(interrupting a phone call) and said he had forgotten to give me my free car wash. I thinking I not going back to use the coupon. read more

They did not put my drain plug back on after a routine oil change and my car seized up and started bucking while driving it.They claim that no damage occurred, and refused to take my engine apart to make sure. They offered me 3 free oil changes with this really expensive oil called royal purple and told me that since they've now put in this special expensive oil, that I can never go back to regular oil. So now I am trapped with having to purchase this expensive oil for the remaining life of the engine. (and as a single mother this doesn't sit well with my finances). And when I tried to go back to talk to the original manager that dealt with my situation, the new manager said he no longer worked for them and could not do anything further with my engine. Now several months later my car doesn't have the horse power that it did before they did this to it, and kwik kar is now telling me I need new motor mounts, but that it has nothing to do with my car running bone dry on no oil and seizing up. Any mechanic will tell you that anytime an engine runs on no oil, damage has occurred and the life of the engine has been compromised. I'm really shocked that they wont own up to their mistake and repair or replace my engine free of charge. I guess they figured since I'm a single woman they can get away with it. And they have. I don't know how the owner of this business can sleep at night. Stay far away from this place. They live by no moral or ethical code read more

My first review would have been great, they were polite and quick. I went in for an oil change and the "X" point check-up which included checking my tires and determining if they needed to be rotated. When I picked up the car -all was good. This was late Sept of 2018. January 18, 2019 I take the same almost new car back to repair the passenger rear tire that has a leak that started on last Thursday. Trey called me and said that the tires were so worn they could not fix the tire, (there was a screw in it). The 2 rears are so worn you can see the inside layer of the tires. They are all worn a lot, but the two rear tires are worn down much worse in the center of the tires only. The alignment is fine and so is the suspension. The only other reason for this type of wear pattern is over-inflation of the rear tires. I went in to ask what the tire pressure had been in September when the oil was changed. They looked up the service under my phone # & name. They said all 4 tires had been "set"at 35 psi. After talking to the tire manufacturer, dealership and another auto repair place I found out looking on the door that the maximum psi on my rear tires is 30 psi. They should never be inflated over this, because it will cause excessive wear in them. Tires were rotated in July, vehicle was aligned in AUGUST and the vehicle was under a year old. When I called Lakeline KK just now they told me there is no record of my ever having the car in their shop. No record of last Sept. oil change -nothing it was never there! Then Bryan or Brian hung up on me. Bottom line the tire pressure in the front 2 tires should be no more than 33psi, and the rear tires inflated absolutely no more than 30 psi. Kwik Kar employee, Trey I believe, verified on Monday they had over-inflated my tires by 5 psi, more than enough to ruin the tires in a little less than 4 months. Bryan who I spoke with about an hour ago, raised his voice, became belligerant and hung up on me. He also pulled that "dumb woman doesn't know any thing about cars"gambit. Anyway Kwik Kar has apparently deleted any record that my vehicle had service there in September. My Credit Union found the charge and I found the appointment for the service in my 2018 day minder. So it would appear that someone made it impossible to find these records on my car. read more

I took my car to this location because its near my place. The last and first time was almost years ago, right at the time they opened. I came in for oil changed and tail lights replacement. When I took my car back and drove home, I realized the lights were still not fixed and my 2 handles of both driver and passenger doors broken. They were glued back together. I was so pissed and came back there, talk to the lady who was mentioned as the 'manager'. She made me wait for more than 15 mins and then denied that was not their fault. She said that she herself was the one who opened the doors car and they were perfect. Seriously, the handles were glued still in fresh and wesh condition right after I took my car back from them. I asked her whether she thought I made it up. She didn't answer that. Her attitudes toward the problem really rude and kept constantly deny. When I asked to meet the one who was in higher position than her, she told me he was not there. Then I left, on the way back to my car, there was a dude, who apparently works there but not in uniform because he didn't work that day, talked trash to me. I was this closed to call the police. I went home, and decided to rate on yelp, by that time this location didn't have yelp account because they was brand new. I looked at the receipt and saw 2 locations was listed on them so I knew they belonged to one owner. I wrote a review on that location instead but nicely mentioned this was about the 'lakeline location'. 2 days later they deleted my review and the so call owner contact me by message through yelp, and said he was there on that day and nothing like I said was actually happened. I replied him qith the receipt number and the car condition. He didnt reply. So that made the lady was telling lies one more time. 1 week after that, a guy from round rock location called in my cell fone and offered to look at the handles and fix them for me. I didnt pick up the fone. I was so tired, I was pissed, I didnt want to involve with them anymore. Since then I never came back. Very bad service. I hope that lady was removed from this location. read more

Brought car here for service on recommendation from friend. Told them that the driver's side rear wheel bearing was probably bad. Received call that it did indeed need replacing. When I picked up the car, they said the bearing was fixed but the car was still noisy due to a bad differential and they didn't work on them. Took the car to the dealership. Dealership said it was the driver's side rear wheel bearing - Kwik Kar had replaced the wrong one! In addition, they replaced the wrong bearing with the wrong part which disabled the 4WD due to the sensors not reading the bearing hub correctly. To their credit, Kwik Kar did refund my money for the original work but I ended up having to pay the dealership to undo the work they did in addition to fixing the original problem. Would not recommend them for mechanical repair work. read more

Wish I had read the Yelp reviews before going to this location. We took our car in late one afternoon for an oil change. They said it would take about 1 1/2 hours because there were cars ahead of us and that was fine because we weren't in any hurry. When they called within the hour to say it was ready, we were impressed. However, our feeling of being impressed went south from there. When we went to pay, the total came to $77.00 for a synthetic blend oil change. That seems very high. We were told it was a 20 point inspection oil change and after reading online what that "should" have covered, more than half of the things were not done. For example, it says they check and fill windshield washer fluid....our reservoir was bone dry going in and bone dry coming out. No one could have possibly looked at it let alone fill it. They also mentioned to us that our power steering fluid was very dark and needed to be replaced and showed us a sample of the fluid in a cup. We declined that work, however, the next morning as I was leaving to take my kids to school, the car was making a grinding noise. I immediately parked it and had my husband look at it. The power steering reservoir was bone dry! It's one thing to tell us and even take a sample of the fluid to show us the color but to not mention "hey, your power steering fluid is low or gone" is another. By the way, that's another part of their 20 point inspection and that is to check and FILL the power steering fluid. As we started to pull away, we noticed our change oil light was still lit on the dashboard. We went in and the guy at the desk seemed to expect us and immediately said his technician tried to reset it but couldn't. He said he even tried to but had trouble and said he would be willing to try one more time. We told him to please do so because it shouldn't be on. How else will we know if there is an issue if it's always on. He ended up looking information up on his phone and tried it again and it worked. He seemed a little bothered by us asking but did he really think we would accept that it just needs to stay on? Nobody would and to know about it when we came in to pay and not say anything seems very sneaky to me. What else weren't we told about. That's the feeling it left with me. Plus, that morning with the power steering fluid issue, we also noticed drips of oil all over our garage floor. We have never in all the years we've owned the car and all of the oil changes we've had at different places experienced any sort of oil drips. What did they do????? I never leave reviews on things but I feel that I need to let others know of our experience. It's a shame, too, because our other car was in need of an oil change and if our experience had been better, we would have taken it to them, as well. read more

I own 8 automobiles, a scooter, and an RV. To say that I spend a lot of money on maintenance, is an understatement. Sometimes my monthly automotive repair and service can run $2,000 depending on what's not working that month. I have become friendly with some of the people that operate and work at this location. To those that complain about "how much it costs", consider this: The purpose of business IS NOT to make money. It's to create a client that wants or needs your services and is willing to part with money for that service. The business and the client are regularly going to be at odds over "how much", but surely you have to understand that tools, maintenance on equipment, overhead (such as lights, employees, obamacare, keeping product on the shelves, building infrastructure etc) all costs a lot of money. I'm sure the insurance bill alone to cover you if their installation fails, is a massive amount of money each and ever month, whether you need them or not, they will be there, in business ready to support you. Yes, you can pay a lot less going to Autozone, buying the product (hoping you picked right) and get a mobile installer or do it yourself. Understand that the person charging you is collecting money for a business. Yes, it's painful to pull money out of your wallet, BUT IT'S NOT GOING INTO HIS POCKET. Now admittedly, I have a budget every month to keep my cars running. And I use that budget at Kwik Kar on Lakeline Boulevard. When for whatever reason I had to get a number matched by another service station for my own edification, I have always been straight forward and honest, what I did, what they quoted, etc. Kwik Kar has matched every time, and even pointed out a time or two what was wrong about the quote I got, and they were RIGHT! I can't speak for any other location, because I don't go there. I trust the team at this location. When I've needed a tow, they just handled it and charged me later. That's a sinking feeling when you are stuck with a broken car, and to be able to just make a call and have it resolved so I can get on with my life is a capability that my life requires, and I am appreciative to this service station's professionalism. Next time you are in there, chat the guys up, get to know them a little. Great team working every day to be the best in their class and business model. Shout out to Ryan the manager as the dozens of times that I have been there, not once have I seen him have a "bad day". His attitude always seems to mirror mine, IE empathetic to the times I lose "Have bad news about your AC Compressor", and seems genuinely happy when I win such as "That's handled under warranty". I'm lucky in that at this point of my life, I only do business with people I know, like, and trust. This Kwik Kar location fits that requirement well. I highly recommend Kwik Kar. We were in Cedar Park last weekend for graduation and as my luck runs, the power steering pump goes out. Got it to Kwik Car, got an estimate and they started to work on the car while we went to the graduation ceremony. Went to pick the car up afterwards, but they had not finished at that point. Knowing we were from out of town and had to get home on Sunday the manager, general manager and 3 techs stayed until after 10:00 pm to finish the car. Needless to say, if I have car trouble next time I'm in Cedar Park, the car will go to Kwik Kar. They went above & beyond. read more

Eventually on of the guys comes in and asks me to come in the morning, saying "he has too many fires to put out right now". I have been going here for two years now. My car had a dead battery at Randall's which is next door. We went to your business and asked how much it would be to get the car towed. The guy with a beard and white truck, said I can pull it in as long as you don't hit my truck. Ever since then my husband knew this was a good business and I have been coming here ever since. Now that has all changed. I went to get an oil change and this new guy with black gloves said my car need an engine overhaul. I've been going here for awhile and for him to just come out and say that my car would need thousands of dollars of work was scary. I think that a professional would say let's take this in steps, because maybe I don't have the money for a full engine overhaul, and I don't even know what that means. Or how much it would cost. The only thing I think is my car is falling apart and I'm going to have to pay a lot of money. I will now get a second opinion, but I really do appreciate the way you have treated us before this. By the way my car is a Pontiac G6 2007, I can't imagine my car would need this much work this soon. I looked up the cost for engine overhaul and it was nearly 2,000. My car only has 80,000 miles there has to be more options then this. read more

Gave a 1 star because I have to give a star. I Took my car here for an inspection. They Called me while doing the inspection and said I needed a new battery because my car wasn't turning on( which would cost $146 to get it fixed ) although I bought a new battery 2 weeks prior to seeing this place. I let them know my uncle was a mechanic and my battery was new and they quickly changed up the story. Said my battery was fine and I just needed to put gas in the car.. when I took my car they left off the gas cap and had to meet me at lakeline mall for my gas cap..(very unprofessional) I had to come back to finish the inspection a week later and they had to cancel out the original transaction . I paid the correct amount with my card and they stated the first transaction would be refunded within 24/48 hours. A week later I called to check on the status of the refund and was told I had to wait for the manager to get in because he didnt have access to the system . Called the next day in the morning and no one answered. Called a 3rd time and the manager was still no there. I called the next day in the morning and explained the situation to the manager . The manager then stated that they refunded me in cash when I was never given cash. After going back and forth with the manager he hung up in my face. I spent 30 minutes calling them back and they kept hanging up in my face and Threatened me.. telling me I was in the wrong... I demanded them to pull the cameras and advised him that I had proof via text messages from the employees personal phone number about the refund status.. finally they agreed to give me a refund back. When I went to go get the refund they were rude and didn't say one word to me!!! Do not go to this place. They will lie and make up things wrong with you car to get more money out of you!!!!! Very very disappointed with the way this business is being ran!!!! I would not recommend them to anyone! read more

This place is filled with a bunch of incompetent employees who I would not let service my ten-speed bike. I have had numerous issues with this location starting with an incident about a year back where I had mu Ford bronco towed to them because it died while on my way to work. Two days later I get a call stating that the motor is locked up and I will need a new motor. However when I had it towed over to them it was still cranking just not turning over. so I told them to do nothing and I would have it towed to someone else. End result it was an ignition coil that I had replaced for less than $100. last week I sent one of my company's service trucks in for an inspection, they failed it due to the emergency break not holding, so I asked them what it would take to fix it and I was told a half hour labor and it should be good. I told the tech then to proceed and I would be back to pick it up in and hour or two. He then stated well it will be a couple of hours before it is ready, even though he just quoted a half hour. He suggested I bring it back later when they weren't busy? really? So I had the truck dropped of this morning with the promise that it could be done, 2 hours later I get a call from a tech that states the truck wont fit in their bay and can not be lifted at this shop. When I explain that it has before and that they are the ones who put the breaks on he said " I don't know what to tell you, you just need to come get it" This shop has had multiple people running it and has had extremely high turn over. I would steer clear of here. The owner "howard" is as crooked as they come and he owns the Georgetown location too. read more

I win I will never be back. First let me say from what I understand each Kwik Kar is independently owned an operated. One bad Kwik Kar does not mean they are all bad. I have been taking my vehicles here since this location opened around three years ago. Something has changed. Within one week I took two vehicles in, the first time just an oil change and they tried to tell me my master cylinder was leaking well I know how to work on cars myself I just choose not to any more, and I know it is not leaking just a little dust accumulation from when I had it serviced at another shop and the residual brake fluid collected dust. If it where actively leaking it would be moist and I would have brake fluid on my spotless garage floor. I took it for what it is them trying to take advantage of me and told them just to change the oil. A few days later I took my wife's car in for an oil change and inspection a different person waited on me and before I could turn around he told me that my inspection was going to fail because my master cylinder was leaking. Really the same MO again. I told them to just change the oil because they were already draining it otherwise I would have just left. I drove strait to another inspection garage and it passed inspection just like I knew it would. I would only use this Kwik Kar if you have more money and time than you need. read more

I have used Kwik Kar on multiple occasions for both my daughter's Jeep and my Yukon. I was in there yesterday just to get a brake light replaced. They very promptly tightened a loose wire and replaced the brake light bulb. Before I left, they also let me know that I had very low tire pressure in one of my tires. After evaluation, they also found that a sensor was out in my tire monitoring system. I have previously taken the car to more than one service center in Cedar Park and was unable to get the sensor fixed. They fixed it! And I never even mentioned the tire or asked them to check the tires. They went above and beyond, and always do!. Robert and Travis both provide AWESOME customer service. They have always been friendly and honest and take the time to explain things to me. Everyone that I have encountered there is always smiling and eager to please the customer. The waiting area is spotless and comfortable, and they always offer a cold bottle of water. I also met Diane yesterday, the new employee in the reception area, and she greeted us with a big smile and was very friendly and attentive. They always make the customer feel important. Best customer service of any auto repair shop that I've ever been to! I will definitely continue to go back and continue to refer all of my friends there as well. read more
