Small and local. The guy who served us was helpful. Got some excellent crab dip, and gator tail. You know the seafood is going to be good when a place smells like Kyle's. ;)

When we are in St Augustine this has been my go to for sushi grade sea scallops and shrimp. It's the best seafood that I've ever bought. They now have Royal Red Shrimp. If you've never had them they taste like lobster but the consistency of shrimp. I purchased a large container of Lobster Bisque that was frozen. Brought it back to Greenville, South Carolina. Thawed it and warmed it up to just the right temperature. Oh my gosh, it's amazing. Add a little bit of Sherry, ground white pepper and little bit of sea salt.....better than any seafood restaurant. Next time I'm bringing 2 containers back.

Yes! Hands down recommended if you want a taste of the local catches. I also highly recommend trying their soup; they have a variety of soups that they make and freeze them but also have 2-3 on special that were never frozen and fresh in a cup that you can bring it home. They even allow you to sample the soup on the counter. I really loved their seafood medley - probably one of the best seafood soup I've had for a while! It was $17 and I had it for 2 meals! Definitely get them ~oyster in the area is more saltier than New England... I guess with warmer water the oyster tastes changes but still delicious ! Clams were awesome and juicy but salty in nature. Lots of locals come here to get ingredients for cooking so definitely stop by if you love preparing your own gourmet seafood meal at home.

Small but mighty! Lots of locals waiting to pick up their seafood.

We are staying at an Airbnb for New Years Eve weekend. Restaurant reservations are hard to come by for New Years Eve so we decided to make our own dinner. We researched seafood markets and Kyle's had great reviews. When we arrived this morning the line was out the door. We figured the fish must be pretty good with so many people waiting. We ended up getting beautiful dry scallops and a piece of smoked mullet. Their offerings were so fresh. Lots of people had preordered bushels of oysters. They were so popular that you couldn't get them unless preordered. The staff is fun, efficient and very friendly.

After 9 years we are back at Kyle's for fresh local seafood. Same quality and service. Nothing beats the best.

Fresh off the boat flounder. Prepared exactly as you request, just like all the other fresh catch.

Excellent place to get fresh seafood. They have great local shrimp and local fish fresh off the boats. You won't be disappointed.

The best smoked salmon I have ever had. A little bit of kick but not too spicy. Shrimp dip was yummy as I think it had Datil pepper in it.

The first time was shrimp and mahi. The second time was shrimp, mahi, conch fritter batter, and oysters. The third time was for even more shrimp. Are you picking up on a trend? When shopping anywhere, it's clutch to go for the local options, and here it was the shrimp. The largest, local shrimp were just $10 a pound, and they were fabulous. I could eat them every day. Um... I think I pretty much did eat them every day. In part, that is thanks to the flippin' amazing cocktail sauce. Which isn't local. But that doesn't make it any less kickass amazeballs. Kelchner. Remember the name. Delightful, delightful stuff. Even if it happens to be made in Allentown, PA. They have been making it since 1938, when folks weren't fooling around with subpar ingredients. Of course, in St. Augustine we had some datil pepper hot sauce too. The staff was great. All of our questions were answered about where the fish came from. Oysters from Canada. Mahi from Central America (I forget where, maybe Honduras). I appreciated how you could order whole fish, and they would prepare them for you. That way you can inspect the gills and the eyes to pick the best one. We never called ahead to have shrimp peeled and deveined, but the fee per pound to do so felt like a pittance. Most of my shrimp consumption came in the form of boil, peel, and eat, which is good because it slows me down a bit. I shudder to think how many shrimp I would have consumed if they were all ready to shove into my shrimp hole. Without a doubt I'll be back the next time I am in town, which hopefully won't be too long.

A Pear Ravioli, with pine nuts, ricotta, parsley and Parmesan cheese. Creamy smooth with such flavor. This could have been a meal in itself. For the main I chose the Crab Cakes with smoked pepper aioli and a fresh wilted spinach for the side. Very nice portions with lots of crab and not too much breading. Very impressive. They have a very extensive and excellent wine list. The Pinot Noir was a Freelander from California. A very delicious pour and went well with the crab cakes.
