One of our fave local spots to grab Jjangmyun & Tangsuyuk without having to drive to k-town. To start off the noodles were thick & chewy and the sauce was loaded with potatoes, onion, pork & zucchini ! Of course, you can't have Jjangmyun without Tangsuyuk, their Tangsuyuk here was fried nicely and had a nice crunch. We ordered the Tangsuyuk with sauce on the side so it stayed crispy! The portions here are HUGE and can be shared between 2 people. Love how they offer a Jjangmyun & Tangsuyuk combo for about $15. I find there seafood jjajangmyeon to be too salty, I've had it for a second time and it's as salty as I remember it unfortunately :/

Decided to try out this place after shopping in hmart since we were craving Jajangmyeon. For $11.99, I would say the portion is pretty worth it! The flavor of the black bean sauce is definitely on the mild side, more savory than sweet which I didn't mind. My favorite part were the noodles, they were perfectly cooked, bouncy, and chewy. I'm assuming they made the noodles in house since they were all slightly different sizes. Given it's one of the only restaurants that serves the dish in this area, I could see myself stopping by again on my next hmart run! read more

how relieeeeved was I to find that Kyodong Noodle existed near me! Whew, can pause on needing to venture all the way to ktown for just a homey jjajjangmyun (black bean noodle) and jjamppong (seafood..spicy..noodle??) meal. First off, the packaging is AMAZING! They are committed to making soggy-less food especially for to-go orders which we all really appreciated! And the portions were big-- worth the pricing. We ordered: -jjajjangmyun (black bean noodle): delicious! The items (like the other things in the black bean paste) were really yummy and well cooked. I also like eating the extra paste with rice on the side so that was yummy! -jjamppong: they did NOT skimp out on the seafood or the veggies and the soup portion was also a lot! Was very delicious and VERY hot (which was a point of recognition as my partner loves being able to just bring home the food and immediately eat versus having to reheat the soups). -tangsuyuk (the pork with the sauce): their sauce for this was very good! It wasn't just the typical sweet delicious goo with veggies, but they added a little something something to it so it was particularly tasteful. (I wish I could describe it better, maybe I'll do that on an update later) and the pork pieces were crispy and not overcooked or dry. **we tend to dip our meat so that it stays crunchy -chicken version ^: also delicious, and the sauce of this was more just on the sweeter side, you can liken it to a type of orange chicken esque sauce but less tangier. Still very good! We ordered 3 jjajjang, 3 jjamppong, 1 tangsuyuk and 1 chicken version for 7 of us and we had some leftover (though we had our own dumplings on the side). Overall, it was very tasty with great portions and nailed it for our family style food meal + the packaing-- I can't stress how much it was so well done and sturdy! I heard about this jjajangmyun place through SGV Eats and have been meaning to try it for a while. It's tucked away in the back left corner of the HMart food court, which means it can be a bit hard to find if you're not looking for it. We went inside deliberately looking for this place, and it still took a while to find. We got there at around 1:30pm on a Monday and there was no one else there. We ordered two jjajangmyun's and one kkanpoong chicken (fried chicken with sweet chili sauce). The total came out to be $40, which is pretty pricey for this type of food. Since no one else was there, they made everything to order so it took about 20 minutes before we got our food. We walked around and got some bread at the bakery in the food court and a few things from HMart which made the time go by very quickly! When the food came out, they left the kkanpoong box open so that the fried chicken wouldn't get soggy. The jjajangmyun was packaged well with a separate tier of sauce so as to not pre-mix the sauce with the noodles. We ate everything in the car and their packaging made it a very clean experience compared to some of our other jjajangmyun car eating experiences. My husband is Korean so we have tried MANY establishments which sell these two dishes. We both felt that the quality of the food and the portion sizes justified the price for the most part. Their jjajangmyun sauce actually had decent sized pieces of meat and other ingredients, which is rare for many restaurants that sell this dish for cheaper. The kkanpoong chicken was a bit overpriced, since the chicken seemed to be overly breaded (barely found ones that actually had chicken). We will definitely be returning since we haven't found any other places in SGV with decent jjajangmyun, and we love that we can support a local business in doing so! Honestly, this place is a staple of mine. Whenever I don't know what I want to eat, I order takeout from here. They're easy to call and place a pick up order. Plus, they're reliably consistent in quality. As a huge kdrama fan, having a (good) 626 jajamyeong shop is so exciting. Their jajamyeong sauce has nice pork chunks. I'm so happy this place exists now in the 626 area, now I don't have to drive all the way to K-town when I want some jajjangmyun, just kidding I'll still drive to Zzamong, no other place tops it but Kyodong Noodle was also very good. Ordered the Jajjangmyun combo with Tang Soo Yuk, and it perfectly satisfied my craving without me having to drive to Ktown. I got the spicy jajjangmyun and it was decently spicy, large portion (I added some rice to the leftover sauce) and the tang soo yuk was also on point. The location is in the food court of H-mart, a Korean supermarket so I was able to also pick up some kimchi and other bonchon and make myself a full Korean meal at home lol the flavoring of the jajjangmyun closely resembles the one from Zzamong, and I thought it was delicious. Would definitely return when I have some jajjangmyun craving again. So this place is in food court In a market called Hmart for those who haven't been. I ordered the jajangmyun combo. Which included a big bowl of jajangmyun and a plate of tangsuyuk. For portion size I think it's def very generous. I usually eat a lot but this portion made me full with about half of everything. So I think if you go with another person y'all can def share this! In terms of taste it's pretty good. The only complaint I have is that the tangsuyuk wasn't as crispy as it could have been. But I think it's cause the sauce was poured onto it instead of being on the side. So I guess I'll have them put it on the side next time. But this I guess is personal preference. read more

My kid and I love the Jjajangmyun and Tangsuyuk. We went two months ago and forgot to leave a review. The foods were so good that after stealing a bite, we decided to eat the entire thing in the parking lot. The Tangsuyuk uses lean pork. The breading is crispy and the sauce compliments the dish well. Chicken with sweet chili sauce, spicy seafood noodles, and black bean noodles was all outstanding. The texture of the noodles was fantastic, and the sauce was just right. Really wasn't good at all jjambbong was so salty and tasted so artificial and msged. Tangsuyuk was dry and sauce was nothing special just tasted sweet. I would rate them lower personally but I guess it's not fair as I guess I've been spoiled by the better places I've been to in korea that you just can't find here. I guess what I'm trying to say is this is as basic as jjambbong and tangsuyuk gets and if you've had better you won't be happy with this place. If you've never had it can't hurt to try. read more

This has been my go-to place for jjajiangmyeon for years. I only order the jjajiangmyeon and haven't tried anything else, but I can at least vouch for it. It's a pretty simple jjajiangmyeon (black bean sauce, onions, pork, and potatoes? stewed together. Whenever I order it, it comes out in 5 minutes (sauce is kept in a metal container (in their kitchen) to keep it warm and noodles are cooked and cooled). You ever ate something so quick and regret not taking pictures beforehand? Yup, that happened to me while I ate their Jjajjangmyun (black bean noodle)! Although it was my first time trying this joint and ordered for TO-GO; I thought their packaging was noteworthy - sustainable and mess-free. They separated the noodles at the bottom and in the same container, the black bean sauce on top - it reminded me of those canisters you would bring from home for your lunch, although not the same material (lol). Now for the taste ... oh golly!!! I'm so happy for the addition of KYODONG NOODLE in the SGV area! This is a HIT! I had so many MISSES in the SGV for a bowl of bomb jjajjangmyun! Nothing compared to KTOWN and it's not the easiest drive to the west just to get great tasting Korean-Chinese black bean noodles, so Kyodong to the rescue! Their black bean sauce was very flavorful and consisted of meat, potato and veggie toppings - all mixed well together with your starchy noodles and it came with a side of pickled radish too! You bet I'll be coming back! I'm a sucker for tangsuyuk (sweet and sour fried pork) and I'm not going to discredit them until I try a second time. It was still edible but I'm not sure if it's because I ordered for take out and didn't eat it fresh that the pork became stiff and a bit hard to chew. this place was excellent. they're inside hmart, in the food court. i wish i coulda tried their jjamppong but sadly, there were just two little pigs dining and we didnt have the funds to try it all. with that in mind, we got their black bean noodles and spicy garlic shrimp. both were bomb. my husband and i slurped it all down in record time. shrimp was nicely fried and packaged separately from the sauce so we could dip and munch to our hearts content. v generous portions. one note- i wish the batter on the shrimp wasnt so thick and chewy. maybe just one layer instead of the two it seems to have? it was just... too thick. i wasn't into it, although i enjoyed everything else. can't wait to go back and try their jjamppong! read more

Both the Jjajiangmyun and Ulppong (non-spicy version of Jjamppong) were delicious! Same thick round noodles came separately for both. Tons of sauce in the jjajiangmyun. Careful when removing the top layer as it's a bit fragile and loaded with the yummy sauce! Also, plenty of seafood and veggies in the piping hot ulppong. Both also came with fresh crunchy pickled radishes on the side. Ordered over the phone, and food was ready in 25 minutes. Conveniently located in the food court inside H-Mart. Was here not too long ago and their jjajangmyeon is so good! I ended up going back another day to get another. Their packaging for their noodles is separate, so the noodles don't become bloated from the sauce. In the black bean sauce, it had diced potatoes, mushrooms, and beef. This place is horrible the young female cashier has a very bad attitude. They take VERY LONG time to prepare your order and let your noodle sit there and get cold while waiting for the other item of the combo. They don't cook your food until they receive multiple same orders so they can prepare them together and that's why they make you wait wait and wait unapologetically. Avoid this place! read more

Oh man. If you want a good jajangmyeon and don't want to drive to ktown look no furthee. It looks like the one you see in korean shows and the sauce is so good. Its sweet, spicy and salty. The yellow pickles add that nice note of sourness to the noodles making it easy to eat. Oh man. Its been so long since i had korean jajangmyeon. The sauce is separated from the noodles which is nice and also when you mix the sauce you know its good when it coats the noodles throughly. There are little pork bits and even potatoes in the sauce which is legit soooooooo delicious.Its also a plus that it is located in Hmart so i can pick up groceries while i wait for my food. I've tried it this past weekend for my birthday lunch! We ordered two jjampong. I called to place the order for pick up and even asked if I could adjust the level of spiciness. The man on the phone was very courteous. Food would take 10 minutes. When I said it'd take me 30 min to arrive, he said that he could time it. Our food was picked up with no trouble. Food was still hot when we got home. Noodle was good with quite a bit of season. Broth was okay. But hey, I've never had jjampong before so I don't have anything to compare to. I've wanting to try this place for a long time ever since I spotted it in H-mart. It's hard to find a place nearby that sells jjajangmyun and tangsuyuk without driving all the way to k-town. We ordered the jjajangmyun combo which comes with tangsuyuk. We also got another bowl of jjjangmyun. The jjajangmyun was delicious. Great portion size with bouncy noodles and a savory black bean sauce. I wished the sauce was a little thicker though so it can cling onto the noodles more but that's just my personal preference. The tangsuyuk was amazing! It was so light and crispy. Not oily at all which I was quite surprised for something deep fried. The sweet and sour sauce paired so well. Having both the jjajangmyun and tangsuyuk together really elevated our experience. The service was really nice as well. The cashier was this super sweet lady! She was so welcoming and kind. I absolutely love this restaurant. It's located in the food court area of H Mart in Arcadia which also has many other delicious restaurants and a nice dessert/bakery. I was always a fan of jjajangmyeon and tried to here. I was blown away so I came back several more times and had consistently deliciousness. I also love seafood and they definitely do it right here with their jjamppong noodles. Serving size is large so you can definitely share with your partner or friend. So I heard about this place on Facebook. A group called SGV Eats. I was a bit skeptical but I was in H Mart doing my grocery shopping. Decided to order a few dishes.. I got Kkanpoong shrimp, Jjajangmyun, and House Fried Rice. Kkanpoong Shrimp was very interesting as far as flavor. I think they did a good job on it and I would order it again. Maybe the chicken version for different protein and texture. The earwig mushroom they used in the sauce, wished they had more! It complimented the dish to my liking! The Jjajangmyun, was decent. I think the noodles might have been over steamed but for my order, it was really stuck together. The flavor was decent as well. Now, I'm going to be fair about this since I heard that this is a new business... hence I only knocked down 1 star. the House Fried Rice was a very big disappointment. I've had several rice dishes before and cooked more than enough rice dishes as I was a chef in the past, but this was overkill. Either the rice they used or not enough egg, there was too much oil. I have a feeling it might be about 2 tablespoons extra. I forgot to take pictures of it when I ate it the same day but heating it up the next day, there was a puddle of oil still. So for me to salvage the rice, I recooked it with 2 large eggs. Heated the pan, poured the rice, cook till hot enough for eggs, poured eggs, and stir fried it some more. The dish was finally edible. The eggs soaked up most of the oil. I'm not really saying don't eat here but, just to give the owner and chefs an idea and feedback so they can work on it. Overall, this place is decent. I'd still come back but order the Kkanpoong and Jjajangmyun. Maybe try their other dishes as well. That Kkanpoong will bring me back because its unique! read more
