If the parking lot next to H mart is full, you can park in the parking structure right behind H mart for shaded parking. I always park in the parking structure whenever it rains or whenever it is just too hot for my car to be sitting out in the sun. Food: The jjajungmyun that I ordered was $9.99 Portion size was decent. They actually gave me a lot of sauce. So I had some sauce left over. What I decided to do with the extra sauce is to make more noodles and place the sauce on top of it for my next meal. It was just as yummy. I actually really like the fact that they store the sauce in another container. They didn't place the sauce on the noodles that they gave me, so I can control how much sauce I want in my noodles. The noodles were very soft and chewy. Had a nice bounce to it hahaha. The sauce itself was very fragrant and flavorful. It had just the perfect amount of salt. Staff: The staff here are very friendly and courteous. I ordered my food while I was there. They said that my order would be ready in about 5 minutes, so I walked around the supermarket for a little bit. By the time I came back, my food was already waiting for me. Stopped by for some takeout as i was craving haha GM Yun or black bean noodles. Also needed some fruit, so i opted for Kyodong which is located in the HMart supermarket. Food and service was pretty good and was nice to be able to shop while your waiting for your food. One thing the Korean shops perfected is packing food to go and it was no different here. Neatly packed and in great shape when I got home. The noodles were tasty too, but I'm used to getting some ground meat mixed in the sauce and there wasn't any in their version. Could have been five stars, but their version isn't cheap, so I expect to get a little meat at least. Glad I ordered a combo which included the sweet and sour pork, because I am not a vegetarian :). The combo is a great option when your eating alone cause buying the two items separately would set you back way over $30+. Was definitely enough food me with even some left over for about $27 after tip. The sweet and sour pork was also pretty good. You do get one side dish, yellow radish which pairs well with the dishes, just wish they had kimchi as well. It came w a lot of veggies and decent amount of clams and squids. White seafood noodles are basically non/spicy version of spicy seafood noodles. The H Mart food court has changed significantly during the course of the pandemic. Some vendors are still around, whereas others have changed. There used to be a Korean-style Chinese restaurant where Kyodong is now, so it is quite appropriate that Kyodong is also a Korean-style Chinese restaurant. Kyodong's other chains in Koreatown have Jajangbap, so I was disappointed when this was not on their menu. I instead ordered the jajangmyun and tangsuyuk combo, which is the Korean jajangmyun and a Korean style of sweet and sour pork. There is also a side of pickled radishes. The jajangmyun was solid, sweet as I would expect the Korean version to be. The tangsuyuk was not over breaded, and I could still taste the texture of the pork and the batter was crispy. I frequent H-Mart and always saw their display outside for best jjajangmyun. The restaurant in located INSIDE of H-Matt's food court. So sad I waited so long to finally try their food. Went to H-Mart to do some grocery stopping and became a little hungry so we decided to try this place out. Its located inside the H-mart and once you walk in keep left and keep walking. There's multiple little restaurants where you can try different things. We decided to go for the spicy jjajangmyun and tangsuyuk combo. The spicy jjajangmyun had the perfect amount of heat and flavor. The noodles were cooked perfectly and were coated perfectly with the jjajangmyun when mixed. The jjajangmyun had a good amount of pork and vegetables in it as well. I think the star of the show though was the tangsuyuk. The tangsuyuk was so crispy and was perfectly paired with the sweet and sour sauce. Both dishes were large so definitely perfect for sharing! It comes with a little side of radish which we asked for more because it paired well with the jjajangmyun. I came around lunch time so I understood it will be busy. When I got here, the server said they are closed. I looked at the hours and they don't close for lunch? If they are busy, just say it'll take a little longer for your food. The server simply said they are closed with no explanation and that they said they'll reopen in 5-10 mins so I waited. The noodle dish/soup are delectable and worth their price. First, their jjampong is the best in SoCal. For the price, the portion is huge. Kyodong jjampong is currently, $13.99. There are seafood galore, such as a big piece of shrimp, not like many other places using itty bitty, frozen shrimp; they have numerous squid pieces; several clams with actual shells and clam meats; and several mussels with shell as well. The best part is their spicy, rich and broth like soup, which is orange in color like it should be. Other Korean-Chinese joints' soup taste like they use instant noodle flavoring, mixed in with chili pepper flakes that choke and irritate your throat. You clearly see reddish liquid with chili pepper flakes at the bottom of the soup at places that does not know what they are doing. Second, their jjajangmyun, $10.99, is a kid and adult pleaser. This noodle dish is the common Korean-Chinese. Their jjajangmyun actually has bite size meat pieces, I counted over a dozen in my bowl, unlike typical Korean-Chinese establishments in Koreatown or other areas populated by Korean immigrants such as Rowland Heights, Cerritos, Fullerton, Buena Park, etc., where you only find onion pieces in greasy oil rich sauce. The tangsuyuk could be better, I think sometimes the ratio between the batter and pork gets overpowered by the batter. I've been wanting to try this place every time I come to HMart and I finally had a chance today. I specifically asked the lady at the register if the Japchae was spicy or not. OMG the japchae here was so spicy!!! In between the noodles, I found chilies and sliced jalapeños. It was numbingly spicy for me when I taste tested so I couldn't give it to my kids to eat. I decided to come back for the third time because of great second experience from the owner. Since I only had 30 minutes, I decided to place order first before shopping in hmart. I got the Ulpong combo after checking with the stuff. Staff was very helpful when I asked different meal options. After ordering, I went to shop in Hmart thinking I could just grab the food and go. When I went to pick up food after shopping, the staff first forgot to include the fried pork for my combo. I had to go back and asked for it. Then when I was waiting in the checkout line for grocery, I noticed that they did not include the sauce for tangsuyuk! I had to step out of my line and went back for the sauce. Delicious, local jajangmyun, comes with a side of pickled radish. This is the closest place to me that makes Korean style jajangmyun. The portion is large and they give lots of bean sauce. The sauce is flavorful but not too salty, and has a good amount of pork pieces in there. The potatoes were my favorite part but there weren't that many. I've had some jjajangmyun in my day and I have to say this is the best I've had in a long time since Mandarin House in Ktown closed down (single tear drop rolling down). One of the few places you can get Jjajangmyeong which is a Chinese inspired Korean noodle dish. If you watch K-dramas you'll notice characters are always eating jjajangmyeong, no matter what show you watch!! That's because it's a pure working class food item. Cheap, tasty, filling and you get a lot. It's a thick chewy noodle, with a black bean sauce that has onions, pork and potato. You mix it up and it turns into a black pasta dish. The favor profile is mild, it looks like it would have a strong taste due to its intense color, but the black bean sauce isn't overpowering at all. You get a pretty large bowl for $10. The missus and I split a bowl and get another dish like their Mandu (6 large deep fried gyoza-like dumplings but about 5x larger than a standard gyoza). Their tansuyuk fried pork is also really good, and again you get a LOT so it's recommended to share. Located inside H Mart so it's convenient and they keep long hours as a result. I first saw this place while waiting for my order at Kazu Mori. The Jjamppong looked amazing, so I decided to give it a try one day. Finally tried the jjamppong last weekend. It took me about 25 minutes to get home (had to stop to get boba!), but to my surprise, the noodle was still al dente and not soggy at all, even after I microwave-d it. The broth was light and delicious. I ordered mild for spicy level and found it to be just the right amount of kick. Seafood was very fresh as well. Overall, it was a very satisfying and delicious meal. The portion is pretty big for me, but might not be enough for two meals, but I can probably split it in two meals with some home cooked vegetables or something on the side. Note: I placed my pick-up order through Yelp (fulfilled by Grubhub). While I waited (I got there too early), I saw that the price is $11.99 on the display, but I paid $15.99 through Yelp/Grubhub. I cannot eat spicy food but the #2 seafood noodle soup Ulppong was delicious! I placed my order and it was ready in about 10 minutes. I even grab a few items at H-mart while waiting. The noodle portion was very generous and I had enough leftovers (noodles only) for another meal. When I got home, I got a bit sidetrack and did not eat my Ulppong til later. Found newly opened Kyodong Noodle at H-Mart Arcadia and tried out their jjajangmyun and jjamppong. Their takeout containers separates the sauce from the noodles, which means no soggy noodles! This alone shows you the care they put in their food. The jjajangmyun was delicious! Long and chewy noodles bathed in that very tasty black sauce. The jjampong was equally tasty with the right amount of spice and saltiness. I am giving a honest, unbiased review and tried to give this place a try based on all the good feedback I've read. I ordered ja jang Myun as I love the dish and have tried it at many places. They did separate the noodles from the sauce which was great, but they gave pickled radish and no Kim chee as I'm used to having. My biggest complaint is that the sauce is too sweet. After a couple of bites I felt that I was biting into sugar. I added salt on my own but it wasn't enough and I just ended up making myself finish it. I felt that maybe some of the sweet sour pork sauce was accidentally mixed into mine. I am being fair as I say that I didn't care for it at all and this ranked in the bottom of all the ja jang myun I have tried. Yo. For a food court restaurant, their jjamppong and jjajjangmyun was bussin. (That's really good) Their jjajjangmyun is really good! They don't really put in all the seafood that's traditionally in there (Like, I doubt they put sea cucumber) but they replace it with big juicy pieces of meat in the sauce. I'm a fan. I also like their housemade noodles. Perfect cut, perfect cook- nice and chewy. If you don't know, jjajjangmyun is a noodle dish where the sauce is made of fermented black bean paste that has been mixed and sauteed with meat, typically random seafood, onions and squash and other veggies. jjamppong is one of my favorite dishes. They did a good job here. The broth is really, really, good. I wish it was spicier. I think they do put a good amount of MSG in the broth because it's really, really good. It also made me super thirsty but my swelling the next day wasn't so bad so they may not have put as much MSG as I thought they did. Same noodles as the jjamppong, with the same texture despite being in soup. Portion sizes are large! I got a a combo which comes with less noodles. I've been here twice, and if you get the bowl of noodles not in the combo, the portion is HUGE! I've gotten their ttansuyuk which is like a version of sweet and sour pork and it's really delicious. When I got it to go the sauce was separate which I like because you can dip it in the sauce instead to ensure each bite is crispy! Overall, this place is really good. They have good to-go packaging to make sure your meal doesnt get soggy. Everyone keeps comparing it to their old jjajjang places that are hardcore established restaurants but you can't compare that to a food court restaurant.
