Ramen is plenty and definitely good enough size to share. I was never able to finish one on my own. One thing I do wish they allowed us to do is to get the dual ramen of our choice and not have to pick from their standards. My first visit, I only ordered a single ramen, but during my second, I wanted to try other flavors so decided on the dual. The kimchi and tonkotsu sounded neat. I really wanted to try kimchi. The tonkotsu wasn't a choice I would have chosen for myself, but it was there, so I gave it a taste. I wouldn't get it again. It was too fishy, but the kimchi one was delicious. Drinks - thai tea was delicious and same with the drinks that came from next door. If you check in on yelp, you would either get the thai tea or a dessert for free! The star dish of Kyuramen is not actually their ramen- it's their omurice. There's bit of a mini show if you order this-- they will slowly slice open the omurice with the egg slowly oozing out followed by the demi glace (beef sauce). If you know about Kyoto's famous Kichi Kichi omurice, this is exactly that but restaurant chain style. Overally flavoring of this dish is mild--it's really the egg that is the star of the show. There's a bubble tea place named TBaar co-joined and adjacent with Kyuramen- diners will also get TBaar's drink menu when deciding what to order. Absolutely brilliant and such a great convenience for bubble tea lovers like me. Their ramen was average- had their CP#1 Black and White couple. This is a ramen bowl that is literally half tonkotsu shio + half black garlic tonkotsu. Broth was not bad but not particularly memorable either. They have unique noodles for their ramen, not the traditional Sun Noodles- slightly flat in circumference which personally is not my preference. People mainly come here for the unique experience/vibe-- if you come with a small party, you get your own private booth seating. Came here for lunch. Space is wide inside and nicely decorated. We came at an off time and the waiters were prompt and friendly. I ordered the spicy kyosho tonkatsu Ramen. Portion was big, came with 2 thin pieces of pork, not the best pork I had. The Ramen had a lot of various veggies in it. Spice level was pretty good. I'd say 3/5 spice level. Have any of you ever heard of Kyuramen? I know I haven't. I came across them while searching for a Ramen place since the in-door dinning mandate started in Philly. Kyuramen sits in a little shopping center along with couple of other businesses so parking was a ease. You know what else is awesome? If any of you are fans of Tbaar, Kyuramen of Cherry Hill is right next to a Tbaar, to make it even better, they are connected, while you dine at Kyuramen, you can also order your favorite drinks, hooray!!! As we enter, we saw the dinning area empty like a ghost town. Well that was a mirage. Kyuramen had a separate sections far right to the restaurant where tables are separated with bamboo walls and curtains. If you like a little privacy, try Kyuramen, you won't regret. At least you don't have to worry about others staring at you while you pig out lol. We started with Steam Pork Bao Bun and Agedashi Tofu. If you enjoy eating fatty meat, the bao is a MUST HAVE, so much fatttttening....... Yes of course, if you are a health fanatic , avoid bao as those fatty part is definitely not health conscious for ya(no hard feelings). I ate both of those appetizers clean, yes I almost lick the plates clean lol. As far as entrees goes, I have to try one of their signature ramen, I got the #6 Kyushu Spicy Tonkotsu ramen, it is full of flavor, spicy not overload spice, just right. Highlight of the night, Teriyaki Beef Rice Burger. The beef is sweet and very tender. Rice is not too hard, not too soft, perfect texture. Want to know a secret? Don't tell my hub this, he ate five guys burger prior going to Kyuramen with me. He says all he wants was a Taro Smoothie. But he ate 90% of the teriyaki burger, leaving me a bite size to try i guess lol. I have try crepe cakes before, don't really like them. It is good that Kyuramen also offer Matcha Pudding with Red Bean and Japanese Cherry Blossom Jelly. If you want something light, Matcha pudding is probably the lightest in the restaurant, light and creamy. If you are in a floral mood, try the Jp Cherry Blossom Jelly, my favorite dessert of the night. read more

We drove from Philly on a Saturday night. I did make reservation because I thought it would be a crowd. I'm not sure what the criteria is for getting a private booth but that's where we were show too. The service is very efficient. We did not have to wait very long for anything we ordered. I love the fact that on the menu there are meal options. These ramen meals come with a bun and drink. We also had appetizers which added to our final bill. The buns were very good had a wonderful flavor and the rice with Demi glacé was really good. The crispy pork cutlet was really crunchy and tasty. The table presentation of it was awesome. This is the cutest ramen restaurant, and the menu is quite unique! Nice combination options. Combination B came with two rames, a popcorn shrimp and two desserts. The waiter allowed me to swap the popcorn chicken for a tofu appetizer. The table card indicated a free Thai iced tea with check in, but when the offer didn't pop up on Yelp, the server gave it to us anyway. Tofu: nothing too special but it was good and was well presented. Ramen: Good flavor on the broths. The broths were not piping hot, which would have made it even better. This is an excellent bowl of ramen. The noodles are robust, chewy, and fresh. The pork charsiu was ultra tender and just fatty enough. The broth was oily and unctuous. The Thai milk tea was also so creamy and just sweet enough. And the match layer cake was excellent as well. So many creamy layers. I would say maybe some of the crepe was a little dried out. Delicious from start to finish! We had a private table, but they didn't really close the curtain or respond to the service button. We didn't need to use it because they used the perfect amount of attentiveness. The teas were wonderful! I highly recommend the grapefruit aloe. The dumplings are a must and the pork bao bun! My husband had the beef rice burger and thought it was delicious, but would have preferred it on a bao bun for functionality purposes. The taro fries were out of this world! I got the #3 ramen and it was good, but the best part was the free dessert stamp in the bottom of the bowl! We wanted to try the taro crepe cake, but they were all out. We tried the matcha pudding with red bean paste. It was ok, but paled in comparison to the matcha tiramisu! It was incredible! If I have to list something negative I'd say it's the appearance of the floors and the volume from the other private tables. There are screens, not walls, separating them and you could hear everyone's conversations... very loudly. It's a perfect place for a local take on fast casual with affordable sit down service. I've been eager to try a Ramen restaurant, and after hearing about Kyuramen I decided to give them a try and I'm so glad I did. Below I've highlight some of my favorite parts... - Food - Everything was AMAZING. Every dish came out hot, delicious and beautifully plated. I was most excited to try the Bao Buns and they did not disappoint. The bun was super soft (think of a heavenly cloud), the pork belly was tender and the sauce brought it all together. I also had the opportunity to try the rice burgers - so unique! The actual rice burger reminded me of the sushi rice. I also loved the actual ramen bowls - the split bowl is super unique and allows you to try multiple things. I've added pictures the other foods I ordered, they'd all be on repeat. - Drinks - Drinks can be ordered from the adjacent / connecting drink shop - TBaar. I opted for the "Amazing Lemonade." It was rightfully named, the added cucumbers gave the lemonade a spa like taste which I loved. - Vibe - What a cool vibe Kyuramen had. Everything from the bar that provided a front row view to the chefs to the small private booths gave a super unique and authentic feeling. - Staff - The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. They're happy to provide suggestions, but they're not invasive. If you're seated in one of the booths there is "call waiter" button which is pretty cool! - Location / Parking - Kyuramen is easy to find in a small strip mall. There is plenty of free parking. Tried some place new with my sister tonight. First time here and first time having the food and wow it was really good. We ended up getting a mix of things including the popcorn chicken, chicken burger which instead of using buns- used rice buns- how cool right? We ordered some ramen as well. I got the #8 which was called thai tomyum ramen and wow it was so flavorful. It had corn, bamboo sprouts, green onions, a hard boiled egg on top, seaweed and shrimp. We had the pork tonkatsu omurice which is a popular dish containing rice and egg that opens and spread on the rice and comes with gravy and fried pork. It was all so flavorful and it really tantalized my tastebuds. Some of the things had a bit of a spice/kick to it but was still tasty and not too overpowering. We also had the lemonade with cucumber and I had the tropical black tea with jelly fruit- definitely something new for me but I enjoyed it. We finished the meal with a mango crepe and a jelly dessert which was so cool and had a flower on the inside of the jelly. read more

Service: Great service! The waiters and servers were very friendly and attentive. Made sure to check in on us from time to time and see that we were well taken care of. Food: They had a variety of options to choose from and some good combo deals but I think the Omurice combo was way too overpriced for what it was. Taste: Shrimp tempura - by far our favorite dish. The tempura was light and crispy. It was good by itself and with it also paired really well with the dressing they served with it. Would recommend. Popcorn chicken and the matcha pudding were ok. I've had better. I think the dessert was old because it was hard and the texture wasn't as smooth as most puddings are. Omurice was underwhelming. I asked for both the curry and demi glaze on the side because I wanted to try both and I much preferred the demi glaze. The curry sauce was too thin and it tasted like your boxed curry that you can get at your average asian market. The rice itself tasted way too much of soy sauce and nothing else. The only saving grace from the dish was the egg. It was perfectly cooked. Ramen: Would recommend. Broth had a rich flavor and the meat was very tender. Noodles were cooked nicely too, not too hard but not too soft either. Only fault I'd give them was that my egg wasn't as runny as I'd like but the taste was definitely there. Let me just preface this by saying I am not really a soup girl, and ramen and pho is generally just meh to me. However, my daughter is insane for ramen and I try to indulge her with this every once in awhile. We checked out this new spot during the week (Thursday) and it was pretty packed. We were seated in one of the private-like booths which allows you to pull the curtains to have more privacy. For an app, I ordered the popcorn chicken (flavor explosion in my mouth, really!). It was on the cusp of being too salty, but I loved it and the fried bits of basil on top. My daughter ordered her usual, pork shoyu with white miso, and I had a combination of the same but with one half white garlic, and the other half with black garlic. It was one bowl divided in the middle which I loved. (A little challenging when pouring in a to-go container but all good). We both enjoyed our ramen and I'd go as far to say I am insane for the black garlic ramen. So good! Prices were reasonable, service was inattentive but there is a call button in the booth when you needed something. read more

Just got home from my dinner at Kyuramen; an unassuming Japanese noodle shop in a non descript strip mall on Rt 70. Upon entering, you see a large sitting area with tables, and the chef station straight ahead. But since we had a reservation, we were whisked away to the rear of the space; into a hallway with a bunch of individual booths. Everything was bright and clean. We sit down, and take a peek at the myriad menus on the table. I wanted to sample a little bit of everything, so I opted for the #11; the tonkatsu ramen bowl (I got the combo, which came with a Thai tea and steamed pork bao bun), a pork belly rice burger, and the fried squid. The Misses went with the vegetarian ramen bowl (also the combo), and the purple sweet potato tempura fries. The food came out SUPER fast! The buns were the first things to hit the table, along with the tea. First, the Thai tea was fabulous. The bun looked amazing, and tasted ok, but I found that the bun to pork ratio was heavily skewed; a lot more bun than pork. The fried squid came next and again, looked amazing. It was served with only a wedge of lemon, but a dipping sauce would have been appreciated. The squid were a little bit chewy, but still tasty. Next came the pork belly rice burger, and the purple sweet potatoes, with spicy mayo. AGAIN, presentation here is top notch. The burger looked awesome, and the fries were presented fish and chips style, in a basket with newspaper. Kyuramen gets tops marks for presentation. As far as taste, the fries were really good, and the burger was alright, but a rice burger is IMPOSSIBLE to eat as a "burger." It's certainly a novelty item. Also, there was a good amount of just straight up rubbery pork fat in the burger. (bonus marks for Kyuramens cool ass cutlery though; a very modern, jet black knife and fork set) Finally, the bowls hit the table, and the first thoughts were how big they were. You're definitely gonna get your belly full by opting for a ramen bowl. AGAIN though, it was mostly a case of style over substance, as the bowl definitely looked better than it tasted. The tonkatsu bowl was really spicy (which didn't bother ME), and the tonkatsu itself tasted like it wasn't seasoned at all. The broth was full of flavor, but if you just grabbed a bite of the tonkatsu alone, it was like eating breaded nothingness. We finished off with the mango crepe cake, which was pretty tasty. A not too sweet, not too heavy, cheesecakey/pancakey type dessert to end the meal. Some of the knocks on Kyuramen: the booths, while cool and private, were very close together, and separated by only those woven bamboo mat curtains. It got pretty noisy, and we could hear every word of every conversation on either side of us. Also, this place is fairly expensive. The ramen bowls are about $14-17, but if you want the combo, you need to tack on $7 for a bun and Thai tea. So, you're looking at about $20-25 for your bowl of ramen, before tax and tip. Still, a pretty good meal, beautifully, and quickly presented. read more

Wow... was I impressed with this meal! The restaurant is bright and inviting. I felt like I was transported to Japan. We ate in a private curtained off room which felt very authentic. Service was amazing. They came with the push of a button, literally. We were also greeted with waters as soon as we sat down and everybody was very attentive.
