My big toes have been hurting, so I asked if they could check in between them--not asking them to perform surgery or remove an ingrown toe, just LOOK and see if that might be the problem. The response was basically, "Nope, you'll have to go to the hospital." Sir... I asked for a pedicure, not a medical procedure! At this point, finding a really GOOD nail salon that actually takes their time feels like finding a unicorn. $50 for a pedicure that felt like a quick foot rub? Yeah... my wallet and my toes are both disappointed.

The purpose of this letter is to notify you that I will no longer be returning to or supporting your establishment. This was a difficult decision to make because I genuinely care about people, especially those with whom I have built rapport. I also hoped that your attitude toward others would change over time. Even against Katy's advice, I continued to frequently support your establishment and listen to the harsh comments you made about other people. I accepted your negative demeanor even when I made simple requests regarding services that I was paying for with my hard-earned money. I also tried to bring you more business by referring friends, including my closest friends. Each time, however, you had something negative to say, and you treated them so poorly that they vowed not to return. The last incident was the final straw. I brought a friend in to have her nails done, and you made her feel so uncomfortable that she later asked me why I would continue spending my money at a place with such subpar customer service. Your Yelp reviews are filled with customers expressing concerns about how rude you are, and every chance I had, I tried to defend you. However, you never extended that same grace or flexibility to me. When I asked you to try something new for me, you refused. During my most recent visit, you told me that you prefer your clients not bring referrals because you do not understand why "Westerners like to do everything together." You also expressed frustration that my friend and I were conversing with one another while getting our nails done. You were upset that my friend wanted to know the cost of services before receiving them, and you even stated that "people should not enter your establishment with expectations." I found that statement, along with many of your other comments and behaviors, to be offensive and dismissive of the very customers you serve. Your attitude is not welcoming, and when concerns about it were brought to your attention, you stated that you did not care. You said that you are "not a try-hard," that people either like it or they do not, and that you do not force anyone to patronize your business. I also felt that the prices posted on the wall didn't necessarily match what we were ultimately charged, so I would recommend confirming pricing beforehand, especially when adding designs or extras. That said, we were very happy with the quality of the work and the care and attention they gave my girls. Their kindness and attention to detail did not go unnoticed. I have read the mixed opinions on these reviews and one thing that continues to come up is that they are dirty, even one reviewer wrote about how the nail techs from LA nails use the same dirty implements on different clients as a Nail technician/ Manicurist that makes me furious and their is another reason that I'm am furious my daughter got a pedicure there at LA Nails/lake Elsinore this past June /14 and the end result Cellulitis of the foot/ Staph infection, had to go to urgent care mind you she doesn't have insurance and was given 3 different type of antibiotic which in antibiotics alone was $200 , she still is going through the healing process, that's right like one of the reviewers said " I wouldn't put my feet in a pedicure bowl" well people don't, their sanitation procedures are HORRIBLE!!!!! STATE BOARD of CALIFORNIA needs to step in and pay visits to every salon and shut the business down if it doesn't meet the standard required by the state to operate, these are irresponsible so called Nail spa that don't give a crap about people's health, it is time for people to do their home work,not because a pedicure for $18 looks good or even $12 means that its good. read more

I am very pleased with this salon! The first time I was here I helped drive a friend and the second time was for myself. Both times we waited for about 15 minutes without booking and had Becky work do our nails. She was so sweet and professional and did a great job. My friend was satisfied by the time she was done, and I am definitely satisfied, so I think we'll be coming back with other friends very soon read more

Went back here the other day after not going in a really long time, they still do not do a good job, I got acrylic nails, and they were incredibly thick! I felt like I couldn't do anything with my hands... I now have removed them, couldn't take it. My daughter had a manicure, and it came out ok. so maybe only go here for a manicure, if you must :( read more

My girlfriend loved her nails for our anniversary so much. She doesn't have a yelp but she asked me to post it, she is absolutely obsessed with her nails. Ask for Becky! She is amazing. My girlfriend goes her all the time and gets different designs and shapes and all of them just looks so nice and she is always so happy read more

Always been my go to place. The ladies pay close attention to details and my fills always look great. The wait isn't so bad so I don't know what people are complaining about. Costumer service isn't bad either and the girls are professional and know what they are doing. read more

Thrilled to have found Letting Go in early March when Lorraine put me on a waiting list and got me in on a Friday when another customer cancelled. Perfect timing, too, because it was just a few days prior to me and my mother putting ourselves on "house arrest" because of the C-Virus scare. Although Lorraine is a "nail artist," I told her I only wanted something similar to what I have been doing a long time; purple base with glitter. I asked her, don't you have samples you can show me from a bottle? She says, "We don't do it that way here. I custom-make your gel colour and glitter to your specifications." I showed her some pix of my nails from the other salon, and she used that as a starting point. Now that I trust her implicitly, I will likely let her come up with her own purple colour and glitter ideas next time. It is nearly a month since I had the work done and only ONE nail is starting to chip so far. I hope I can hold out until my house arrest is over, like another month, by clipping the nails carefully. This is a small intimate salon, not crowded with people since is appointment only. Unlike most other salons, the technicians are not rushing, so plan extra time for this type of quality. Also, be prepared to pay more money here than at an assembly line salon, but it is worth every penny of it. (My last nail shop couldn't even get the colours straight cuz the samples were often in the wrong spot with the wrong number). That can't happen here because there are no samples with numbers! I can't wait to go back for my hands and feet, hopefully by late May!
