I have to say that I've used L.A. Purification's for our home for over 10 years. We have such hard water in Huntington Beach it started to cause a problem with our water pressure. After installing the Hague water treatment and flushing out our water tank the pressure was perfect. My family loved the results of the good clean water. You can definitely taste the difference in the water as well as the over all feeling of silky clean hair and skin. We also purchased this system for my sons family shortly after he got married, 7 years ago and they are very please as well. The service you receive is absolutely the best. The owner Paul is very knowledgeable and fair. The two technicians who have come to service my system and keep it in check are Dave and Rene. LA Purification very quickly responded with a bid of $6,990 for a whole-house filtration and water-softening system without even coming to my home ... ALL I WANTED WAS A WATER SOFTENER! Listen to your potential customers, LA Purification! Regardless, when I re-clarified that all I wanted was a water softener, all communication abruptly ended. I had the same experience as Mike L., I just closed escrow and were dealing with myriad construction issues, work estimates and deliveries. When I got their postcard which looks like a delivery attempt slip I was concerned I missed an important package so I called and sure enough they want to sell you something. They schedule an in-home demo and promise a $100 gift card for your time, no obligation to buy so I thought OK why not? The water testing was interesting and I was considering an under-sink system (no whole house, I HATE the way softened water feels). So later that night I'm looking over the materials and just out of curiosity I check the balance on the gift card, it's only $20, not the $100 they promised. Blatant bait and switch, no way will I hire them now which is a shame because the product looked solid. This is just one of the many hard-sell con jobs I've had to deal with since buying the house. Scam marketing practice from what must be a terrible company. A "second notice" card when I work from home and check the mail everyday...

We've had nothing but great experiences with L.A. Purification Products. We purchased property in Pasadena in 2005 which came with 2 old Hague systems. Later, they had issues and I called L.A. Purification. They came out and serviced them. Finally in 2011, when these units were clearly end of life, we purchased two new systems from this company (we have a large and unusual installation which is why we need two instead of one system). In 2014 one had a minor issue, and L.A. Purification came out and fixed it easily and cheaply. Around the beginning of 2020, one of our two units had a problem so we shut it off as I didn't want to call anyone during Covid. After Christmas, the second unit malfunctioned. I finally called them, though could have waited if I had wanted. They came out on 12/31/20 and quickly fixed both. When they started the work they wanted to to know if I needed a quote or just wanted to spend whatever was necessary to fix the systems. I trusted them and said 'Just fix them'. There was 1 hour of service total for the 2 units, a trip charge (expected) and some parts that came out much less than I had feared. So the whole total trip cost was less than expected. So basically: (a) they do good work and are fair, and (b) they had the opportunity to take advantage of me since I gave them a blank check so-to-speak but they didn't abuse that. The units have been happy without issue for a week now since the service call. Note I've read some of the other reviews here about this company and noted several complaints about sketchy yellow marketing notices. I never heard of that until looking at Yelp now. I'd wouldn't be thrilled to get one of these either, and I think people's responses to same are reasonable, but that's not how we were introduced to this company. So maybe they get an 'F' on marketing, but they also get an 'A' on service. read more

A search for the number 562-461-0722 reveals that this is a water filtration company making an attempt to capture my attention. I would give this company more stars if I could. I originally received a yellow card when I bought my home. Yes, I was kind of weary when I got it cause it had little information on it. So I called and spoke with a very nice lady who offered a housewarming gift. Being VERY cautious I asked a trillion questions. I can completely understand others who have reviewed badly due to this "marketing tactic" but I can also see how they were more mad that they were tricked. As I mentioned before I asked a lot of questions. I knew when I set the appointment they would be out to not only give me a FREE gift card but also a FREE water analysis. When I asked my trillion questions she was not rude or deceptive or deceitful. She answered them all willingly and honestly. No twisting of my arm or scamming me into setting the appointment. The gentleman (Paul) that came out was VERY respectful and professional. Being a single mom I'm very cautious of everyone but he made me feel very at ease. He tested my tap water and my bottle water Arrowhead ,which I've used all my life. (after those results-NEVER again lol) I didn't feel obligated to purchase anything, but I did. The installation was fast, and professional. The installer (Rene) was also very respectful. The office personal was extremely helpful and polite. I once again had a lot of questions even after install and all the office personal that I have talked to never made me feel like I was a nuisance and was always very helpful. I will definitely write another review for this company when my service time rolls around.
