we've come here for several years and we're very disappointed this time. It was a very slow time in the restaurant (4:30). We waited a full 10 minutes to have the server acknowledge us. Then when we placed our order from the dinner menu, he told us we could not order from that menu yet because it was not 5:00. Disappointed, but we pivoted and ordered from the brunch menu. One of the items ordered was a beet salad. We sat and waited until a few minutes before 5 o'clock when our server came out and told us they did not have any beets. I canceled the salad order. At 5:15, our brunch finally arrived. Mine was chicken Parmesan. Pasta was hot and steamy! Chicken was only warm. The cheese slice that had been put on it was not melted and cool. I love Italian food, and took a few bites of my chicken, which was good. Once the pasta had a minute to cool, I took a bite of it and did not know what to think. It was not Italian tomato sauce. It was completely different color and texture to the sauce on the chicken. It had the strangest taste, almost as if a sweet Asian inspired sauce had been mixed into it. I mentioned it to the server and he told me "Italian sauce has a tomato base and the chef mixes it with ketchup!" Overall, I was very disappointed with the food and the service. I will try the restaurant again and give it another chance because we've had so many previous positive experiences, but at this point would not recommend it to anyone. read more

La Belle Vie is located in the shopping center next to the Fresh Market on Peachtree Industrial. This Restaurant is so cute and definitely a good place to go on a date or a GNO! When you walk in, you can definitely tell that it is a French restaurant. The fiancé and I came here on a Saturday to try their brunch menu. When we arrived, we were seated right away. Our experience overall was great and we will definitely come back to try their dinner menu. What we ordered: - Oxtail Eggs Benedict. This is served on toasted bread instead of your traditional egg muffin. The eggs were a little bit over cooked and not as running as we liked it. But this dish was very good, the oxtail has a smokey taste to it. We really enjoyed this dish. We also opted out of the potatoes and got fries instead. - Shrimp & Grits. This was hands down my favorite dish! A lot of places that I've ordered from, the shrimp and grits were too salty but this dish at La Belle Vie, was just right!! It was seasoned well and every bite was amaaaazing! The bacon pieces in this dish definitely added another level of flavor. So we are now 2 for 2 on bad restaurants for Valentine's. We came here with another couple, and decided on Saturday to avoid the actual holiday crowds. The restaurant was very charming and had great ambiance, but the food fell WAY short of expectations. Firstly, the menu was limited, as I guess they were expecting huge crowds. The selection wasn't great. I got a strawberry salad, the greens were so wilty I couldn't eat it. I just ate the nuts and strawberries out of it. What a waste. I ordered the blue crab fingers, and the crab tasted off, not fresh. I did eat a fair amount of them still because I was hungry, but the other gripe was that they weren't in a broth. It was literally a thick condensed bowl of greasy butter with very little garlic in it. The flavor was missing, and the crab didn't taste great. Our friends ordered steak, and one said the steak was undercooked and overly fatty. They both agreed it was something they would never get again, and for $46 a steak, that's very disappointing. The charcuterie board we shared was just okay. Very little on it for the price, and to be honest, the grapes were the best thing there. Even the bread rolls in the bread basket tasted stale. And lastly, my boyfriend was highly upset over his meal. He got the short rib bolognese. When it was served, my friend asked where the rib was, and I agreed. There was sparse meat. It was a joke. The meal was awful. I tried his pasta, and it fell way short as far as flavor, and had kind of a pasty sauce to it. All in all, an extremely disappointing meal. We won't be back. read more

Cute little restaurant tucked behind Suwanee Station. We came here on a Sunday for a Birthday Brunch around 12:30 and the place was just filling up. Our server greeted our party of 9 with a smile. Upon taking our drink orders, we were informed that the restaurant hadn't obtained their alcohol permit so beer and wine was the only option. For appetizers, we got the mini croissant rolls (4 per order). The croissant came out steamy and it was absolutely delicious. On the other hand, the oxtail toast had really great flavor. However the sauce made the toast soggy. We ordered oatmeal and it never came. We were later told that oat meal was on the old menu and they no longer carry it. -1 point. Our entrees took quite a while but the food was overall pretty good. The burger was just okay. I think the gruyere cheese was a bit over powering. I would rate the service a 3/5. The time it took to place our order, get our food, and then our check could improve. Anyway- I hear they have a better dinner menu read more

I will return to this restaurant as the food is well worth it. Inside: deco is not the warmest style but it has a little "café parisien " style. Table are big enough to be comfortable though (unlike the Parisien restaurants). Food: absolutely delicious and well prepared, plates are well decorated, food textures very appetizing, really rare to see that in a "French" restaurant around Atlanta. Wine: not cheap but worthwhile, a good quality wine which is also rare in any restaurant around here. Service: excellent, paying attention. Why 4 stars only? We visited for dinner on Sunday. We had not been in a few months and were really looking forward to it. Unfortunately we did not have a pleasant experience. Our server didn't seem to care if he served us or not, and there were very few people in the restaurant. We ordered lamb chops, which did come out lovely and perfectly cooked, but the escargot was mushy. I don't think there was any meat. We ordered the red snapper on a seafood fried rice, which I had last time and ordered again because it was so delicious, but not this time. The snapper was half the size and the fried rice didn't have any seafood in it and the rice was a wet glob. He forgot to put in my side order, so it couldn't be prepared quickly enough to go with my entree. The Brussels sprouts were burned and not edible. It was most disappointing. read more

We used to go to LBV frequently and enjoyed their brunch and dinner menu. The current menu is similar but flavor profiles completely different. A lot of soy sauce based sauces are smothered all over the food that don't belong and frankly just don't taste good. I guess they're trying to cover up the blandness of the food. The place was almost empty when we went (used to be packed). Our dishes were clearly cooked by someone who didn't train to cook French food and clearly doesn't know it. If you're looking for French inspired dishes, this place isn't it. As an aside...they randomly now also serve sushi (and have a flashing sushi sign at the front ). They should just rebrand and start over. Servers were nice. Management clearly cares and is trying but just missing the mark. For a restaurant...it starts with food and ends with food. If you get that part right, people will return (even if the rest is lacking). For years (years!), the place used to be a consistent and dependable spot for us but we unfortunately will not go back. read more

This is becoming a favorite for weekend brunch. Varied, appetizing selection of omelettes, crepes, sandwiches, soups, and salad. The omelette are always nicely crafted and the sandwiches never disappoint. I enjoy their coffee, nothing fancy .... Just good flavor and always fresh. i have never been served stale, burnt coffee here. The atmosphere is what I would describe as energetic -- I usually see groups of friends or couples actively chatting. It is a sad day indeed... New management has taken this gem of a culinary experience and they have transformed it into what most closely renders the resemblance of Texas Roadhouse. Although I appreciate the more quiet dining experience due to the lack of alcohol being served: it also lends credence towards the hasty approach, lack of planning, and unimaginative attitude toward the dishes currently being served. The French onion pork chops: my all time favorite dish is definitely not with the same class of culinary experience rendered by the previous proprietors. It was dry, significantly smaller than before, and lacked any kind of imagination and flavor palate profile that existed previously. Don't get me wrong it was a perfectly cooked pork chop although slightly over cooked. However I would best compare it to the culinary experience that can be easily obtained from the likes of the Texas Roadhouse. In short it is definitely in worthy of being a $30+ pork-chop. There are so few options where I can get quality culinary offerings within my area. It is a sad day indeed where this level of experience will no longer be available. read more

I initially wanted to give this a less than 4 stars review BUT bc it had nothing to do with the foods, I don't want to bring down their ratings! Being from out of town, we yelped so many places to eat with reviews and photos and we chose la Belle Vie with great anticipation. I can start from the beginning but bottom line we got the wrong server. We were there for an hour before finally asking for the manager. We assumed the server was super new and we had to ask other workers walking by for coffee. Everyone seemed SO efficient but our server!!! If the food is behind at least come let us know. Two tables that sat after us way later got foods before us!!!! You know when you're so hungry you're not hungry anymore? Now I'm just hangry! The food finally came swarm service style and we chowed down! We needed things here and there but it was all from other servers and the manager. Our server had not come back once to do any table touches. Raquel the manager did give us a little discount which she had to fix again bc we were charged kids' drinks that came with their meals. We asked if our server was new on the floor and she said "not really..." OMG, you need to supervise your weak servers more if that's the case. This experience is enough for non returning guests!!! I know all servers have to start somewhere and ours was nice as can be. I do not blame his inexperience but seeing the location and clientele, they need to step up on training. read more

Went here for my friends birthday and it was totally at a whim that we came here! We are very grateful that we did because this place BLEW ME AWAY. This location is typically pretty quiet but this store suits the high quality air this plaza intends to give off. The interior is very pleasent! Photo op ready if anything, with its marble designed table, natural lighting, open oven display, tiny flower bouquet and dainty dishes!! Now the two more important factors that just made this place even better-- food and service. The food was amazing for brunch and the other reviews seem to applaud their dinner as well. For brunch, we had the honey croissants, the pork (something) blt, and the ox tail toast (the waiter told us those entrees were the popular ones and HE WAS RIGHT). THEY WERE ALL SO EXCELLENT. The small crossaints had just the right amount of sweetness, very flaky, and was a great starter. The pork belly blt was amazing as well. The best thing we had there. It had a generous slice of pork belly with a slight sweet marinade. The bread was nice and crunchy!! The fries were ONE OF THE BEST IVE HAD AT A RESTERAUNT. Well seasoned and crispy, I was absolutely floored. The ox tail toast was very good as well. The ox tail was extremely tender, fell apart. The egg was well poached and the sauce was subtle! Not as flavorful as the blt but if you like something more easy on the tongue-- This is for you. The hashbrown was pretty great as well (the fries tho, could not be topped) Finally, for my friends birthday, we finished with some dessert. It was a hard pick between the unique bread pudding and amareto candle (but the manager recommended the latter). The candle WAS BEAUTIFUL TO LOOK AT. OH MY GOD. JUST LOOK AT IT. The fanciest looking dessert ive ordered before and it was just as delicious. Creamy, not too sweet or mushy (like mousse is at other resteraunts, this one had a nice body to it). Stains your lips a little though!! Finally, THE SERVICE WAS TOP NOTCH. Our waiter was friendly and attentive-- patient as well. The manager?? Well she was out of this world. Always on her feet, she really made us feel at home and special!! I will definietly bring my friends and family... my friends are already begging to know where this is. Hot spot incoming!! The customer service was good until I received my food. The salmon was overcooked and very salty. I asked them to remake it, and they bought me the same salmon back. They just heated it in the oven. My friends tried it and literally spat it in a napkin and drank water because of the salt. The waiter response was at least it is hot. read more

I met a friend here about a week ago for dinner and drinks. I hesitated to write this review until I could go back and get photos, because everything was so delicious. I will be back for sure and promise to add photos to my next review. We had the cheese board that was soooo good. I LOVE CHEESE, but this was definitely top 5 of cheese boards I have had recently. We also shared the mushroom pasta. It was not the best I have ever had, but I would not run away from having it again. La Belle Vie was adorable! The atmosphere was chill. I went during date night with my husband. We arrived around 9pm and there were few people at that time. We were socially distanced well and the staff was friendly, professional and clean. Our waiter knew the menu well and was helpful with making drink and food selections. I had the filet medallions and hubs had steak as well. He drank a Manhattan and I had their lavender champagne. It's a classy chill vibe. My wife & I have been to LBV three times in the past few weeks. We went for dinner twice and lunch/brunch once. Every visit has convinced us further that this is the BEST restaurant in Suwanee. Their French dishes are outstanding and everything else is excellent. I had a shrimp/mushroom fondue with Gruyere cheese which is one of the most delicious things I've ever tasted. And their prices are very reasonable. We've got to support this excellent local restaurant. read more

INTERIOR Clean, spacious, simple & elegant decorations. You can sit at the bar, regular tables, or high top tables. SERVICE Philip was our server and was great. He helped us choose what to get. He was attentive and funny. FOOD -Mussels mariniere $12: appetizer that's shareable between 2-3 people. The sauce was made in white wine, lardons, tomatoes, basil and crostini served with the crispiest slices of bread seasoned with garlic. I had to look up what Lardons were but it's basically bacon and it complimented the mussels so well. A bite of the lardon with the mussel was delicious. -Pork belly BLT $15: I was disappointed with this sandwich. They smoke the pork belly in-house And includes balsamic onion jam, potato bread, lettuce, tomato, fried egg, pepper aioli and side of fries. I usually love pickles in my sandwiches/burgers but the kind that was in this BLT did not work well in this. The pork belly didn't really have a taste even when I ate it separately and it was pretty dry. The presentation of it looked delicious but the taste did not meet my expectations. Philip also recommended the prime rib melt, which also sounded delicious-- I might return to try that. -Croque Madame $14: brioche, ham, guyere, sunny side up egg, bechamel, with fries. This apparently is the go-to, traditional French sandwich. My sister gave me a bit to taste and I really enjoyed it ! It tasted like a typical ham and cheese sandwich but more savory! The ingredients were meshed well together topped with a beautiful sunny side up egg. -FRIES: I'm a fan of these fries ! Sooooo crispy, perfect thickness, and not greasy/oily. I expected a brunch place to have more freshly squeezed juices but they only had orange juice. Overall, slightly disappointed by this visit but not totally turned off to not want to give it another try. read more

We went for brunch on a Sunday afternoon. I made a reservation the night before and we were seated immediately upon arrival. The place has a very nice vibe and the croissants are amazing. Overall the food and drinks were good, the only complaint my daughter had was that the chicken on the chicken biscuit was too sweet (she's a chicken biscuit connoisseur) so she didn't enjoy it.
