Even the sicilian is otherworldly. I usually get on plain slice and one special slice, because there are so many, they are always changing, and the are ALWAYS GREAT Among the best: Eggplant Chicken Jalepeno White Slice Grandma Chicken Parm And the rare but epic Calamari Slice Everything is good. Everything. Awesome Heroes Great salads. Definitely try the seafood salad Nothing Super fancy. But so delicious. So, so delicious. Staff is always hustling hard to get food out fast, and always friendly and accomodating. Sit down inside and eat, sit down outside and watch the traffic go by, or take it to your house. This place is still as good as ever. I had last been a couple of years ago with my kids. This time around we got (for the three of us) a mushroom slice, a Sicilian cheese slice, an order of garlic knots (6), an order of spaghetti with marinara sauce, a side salad (comes with the pasta and has a side of creamy / garlicky Italian dressing). I got three cans of soda to wash it all down. The bill came to less than twenty three bucks. It was a lot of food and all very, very good. Because the kids ate well I rewarded them with some ice cream treats (which they sell out of a freezer near the front counter). Love this place. Still a fan. read more

This place is your typical pizzeria except the food is a million times better. Anything you order from La Capannina is excellent, you really can't go wrong. Their plain pizza is great, their sicilian has a little something extra and their spinach and white pizzas are absolutely out of this world. Another favorite is the eggplant parmigiana slice which is the best of both worlds if you're a pizza and eggplant parm fan. If you're not in the mood for pizza, I highly reccomend their heros as they're the best I've ever had. Their salads are huge and fresh and so is their portion of fried calamari. If you order something other than pizza, it's obviously going to take a bit longer, but it's definitely worth the wait. Their prices are more than fair fair and the people they have working there are always really nice. There's usually a line around lunch and dinner times, but it always moves quickly. read more

This is hands down the best pizza in the hamptons. It is right off the highway for easy take-out, and they are quick to prepare your food after calling in (typically 15-25 minutes). The buffalo chicken pizza is possibly the best non-standard style. There is a ton of chicken and the sauce does a good job balancing the spice. Other favorites are the chicken parm, and sausage pizza. Overall they just add a ton of high quality toppings to the mix. Their pastas are good and reasonably priced for take-out. Would not recommend the salads, but come on, it's a pizza place -- no one actually goes for that (i hope). Would love for them to stay open a little later, but it really is great food. Cannot count the number of times we've taken out a large pie and headed straight to a late night bonfire. read more

The Pasta Fagioli was pretty poor. Lacking flavor and the color was artificial. To top it off the soup was served with the waitresses thumb dunked right in it. The pizza is great though. read more

La Capannina has always been one of our go to spots for penne alla vodka. Yesterday my boyfriend and I ordered take out and we called in two hours prior since we know that they are probably super busy. They appreciated us calling early and we appreciate them so much. This is a great little joint. The pizza is very good but this isn't artisan pizza by any means it is your standard local feel good pizza and it gets the job done. They also have some great pastas and the garlic knots are very good as well. If getting carryout and ordering any salads, make sure to specify SOS as they will sauce it up and it won't travel well. read more

Super casual spot right on Montauk Highway with delicious, satisfying pizza. The interior looks pretty dated and could definitely use a deep cleaning, so don't go in with high expectations for ambiance. Came here after a patient declared the pizza is "the best". Well, i had two different slices, heated perfectly and one with added hot peppers. Both excellent. Easy to miss their entrance which is just off a side road immediately west to the restaurant off highway 27. Noisy pragmatic inside. Fun local place teaming with comfort food and delicious tap beer. Will definitely be back. $15 for two fancy slices and a pint. Update: pizza totally delicious but first essential to avoid busting your tires in the worst pot hole in the Hamptons, right in the middle of the entrance to their parking lot. This deep and fairly wide hole is going to really damage someone's car or break someone's leg. Obviously there has been need of immediate repair, for some time. Disappointed with the margarita pie we ordered, it was not made with fresh mozzarella so basically we paid extra for a regular cheese pizza with diced tomatoes....we have ordered from here a few times and it was all ok which is why I am so disappointed this time. read more

The pizza is always consistent. Year after year, it never varies, and is always very good. The staff is always a little moody. Like the whole place is always going through mood swings. They try to be nice, but it seems there are arguments going on in the kitchen. Oh, also, watch out, they make the slices way way too hot. read more

The only good thing here is the sauce they use for all types of pasta dishes. The pizza is not that great, but they do have a decent selection of toppings. Most of the slices are not fresh. The price is very high for a pizza place. The building is a dive and it's falling apart... it does not feel clean, but it does feel like a pizza place. Don't let this restaurant fool you. The decor is simple, but the food is terrific. An excellent pizza -- we had the Capannina special, with "everything" and it was delicious. The $10 seafood salad was one of the best we've had -- what a bargain. We loved the Sicilian "sangria." It's not a fancy restaurant; you can eat in or take out. Honestly the place looks very simple from the outside, and the sign for the restaurant was inconspicuous.....but once you enter, the food feels like it was made from a homecooked Italian-American styled kitchen, with very large portions, good if you're hungry for a quick road trip stop, or for a vibe nothing too fancy and relaxing! We found this place on our way into town, and it was great. I had a chicken parm sub and it was excellent. Very friendly staff. I wanted a recommendation for a good local beer and the guy behind the counter introduced me to Blue Point Toasted Lager, which is now one of my favorites. Thanks, dude! They had nice outdoor tables with umbrellas to keep us in the shade on a hot summer day, and they brought us water for our dog. Very reasonable prices for the Hamptons. Often called "the best pizza around here," by friends (not me), the pizza is often good. The entrees are alright, barely satisfactory. I had a shrimp/calamari entree and the calamari was breaded and deep fried (disgusting), the shrimp was nowhere to be seen. I wouldn't sit down and eat here, the food took a while. The portions are generous, the pizza is good, but I wouldn't get anything fried again. The interior is very dated. I think they're opening a place in Water Mill on the highway. I hope so, a new, fresh location would do them well. However they're affordable, and the pizza is great! read more
