I was really craving beignets and that was the only place that was open that had them and I read a couple of reviews that said they were amazing so I went for it. They were disgusting. Just completely trash. They shouldn't even call it beignet because it really is not. It's just sticks of dough over fried and just extremely oily. Gross! Now the gumbo was surprisingly good. Called in worth a food waited 20 minutes before checking in from my order. Still waiting for food after I walked in. Sat at the bar and they gave me one bag of food. I've noticed that my wings that I ordered we're not in the bag. Instead of checking the order just to confirm, he tells me I didn't charge for wings when it is on the receipt that attached to the bag. So it goes to the back to get my wings and apologizes. my fault was not doublechecking the order from that so I drove home 30 minutes to realize I got one out of four things that I've ordered and yet paid $85 for 2 pound of crawfish. I was so mad at the time i wastedr, when I called I was livid. The front guy in the counter is always helpful and sweet and when I came to the store, I did apologize for taking it out on him but I was so mad that they could miss THE ENTIRE MAIN MEAL. So when I come to pick up the rest of my order, he has the audacity to ask me if I have the bag? But luckily I did take a picture to show that I'm not lying or trying to get a free meal. Poor Customer Service didn't know I had to prove that you messed up in order for you to just take ownership of it. Who would really lie for a free meal when you paid for that TO GO. IT doesnt make sense! Lets start with the Pho...I was amazed how this seafood restaurant has one of the most authentic taste of Pho i ever had in San Antonio. The LaSpeacial (Vietnamese traditional noodle soup) of this La Crawfish puts other Vietnamese restaurants to shame because I grew up in Vietnam and I know which one is authentic and which is not! About the seafood, Its a bit pricey but totally worth it because you paying to get fresh seafood. Cant complain about the freshness after 3 times visited LaCrawfish. I definitely come back for more goodies because LaCrawfish has a big varieties entrée that are make from crawfish that I never seen in any restaurant. read more

This evening I went to LA Crawfish, I have gone many many times before and besides the steep price compared to other seafood boil places here in San Antonio I do genuinely like the food here, although you can get a way better seafood boil deal at RedHook seafood. Long story short. I got to the bottom of my bag to see something shiny so I touched it and realized it was a VERY dirty penny hidden in the seafood sauce! I was instantly disgusted! My Wife called the store to let them know what we had found (I'd like to add we weren't expecting money back, we paid $70 for our meal) and that she wanted to speak to the manager well come to find out the manager was just too busy to talk, so she spoke to the young lady who answered and let her know what had just happened. The girl let us know they thoroughly inspected our bags before bagging it up (which obviously wasnt the case) and that if we wanted a refund we must send it all back Penny and all and UNEATEN lol. Unfortunately I didn't discover this until it was all eaten up‍. This wasn't the issue though, the problem is that this establishment doesn't know how to properly rectify an issue, there wasn't any sympathy or apology or anything of that nature and I feel it could have just been handled a little better. We will no longer spend our hard earned money here. Please don't judge the food off my review, I'm purely speaking of customer service I do like the food. read more

i went for the oysters i saw on their website, they said they only do fried oysters now. I opted for the crawfish empanadas they said they were all out.. it was early afternoon & the restaurant was empty. I ended up getting the cheesy seafood eggrolls that the cashier suggested -- they tasted like something from the dollar store freezer section. I also order a snowcrab seafood boil. They put cold boiled eggs in. The sausage is not cut up and there is no sauce to dip your fish in.. the driest seafood boil i ever had. I was so disappointed. read more

Visited this location yesterday after wanting to try it for a while but for some reason whenever I'd call the line would always be busy or I would be on hold for a while. I finally decided to just order in person and I am glad that I did! I placed a Togo order of the crawfish pho, asked for it to be spicy, and was given exactly what i wanted. I had great food and was provided great customer service by the lady who working that day. Be aware all the condiments and plastic cutlery are behind the counter and the only place to get napkins (brown industrial paper towel rolls) is at the wash-up sink for AFTER your messy crawfish/crab boil. If the cashier is away or busy you'll stand there when you should of been able to help yourself. now the food... Gumbo needed flavor and was pretty light on everything except the rue. two shrimps, three sausage pieces, one little rear crab leg for decoration I guess. Needed some salt/cajun seasoning and little tabasco made it worth the big bowl for $5.99. This gumbo will be great with more contents and more flavor. Crawfish egg rolls: It's a jalapeño popper in a spring roll wrap. Crawfish empanada: No crawfish inside and the contents were non existent. It was very dark and over fried. I pretty much ate a borderline burned deep fried empanada with the essence of a filling that wasn't there. I threw the second one away. Fries: These are frozen waffle fries with a light breaded coating. I felt ripped off being charged $4.99 for a small basket of them. Shrimp po-boy: it was decent and ok. nothing special. Fried shrimp, lettuce, tomato, bread. Bottom line: Go for the boil and maybe a po-boy. Don't expect a hidden gem here but you'll leave full of mediocrity. read more

Wow! Amazing food and a phenomenal team here. I was torn between raving about their awesomness and not telling a single soul so that I would always have a seat in the house. Kind of like your favorite band... :P Crawfish was a hit. Garlic noodles were delish and had quite a kick. The kids got the fried surf n turf with shrimp and fish. The batter was perfect flavor! Mild and not super spicey. Sweet potato waffle fries are a must! Sooo good!! The team was constantly rotating and checking on guests to ensure their order was delivered to its entirety. I got the garlic butter crawfish with potato and sausage and it was delish! The white rice I got was bad. It was way too hard. The crawfish was huge though! Great flavor and pretty meaty. Even got meat in the claws. My husband got the spicy beef pho. That wasn't too good. We've had better pho elsewhere. There was barely any meat in it. Hubby was disappointed with it and he loves pho just not this one. This place was basically a self serve. You had to get your own "tablecloth". And paper towels were next to it and not on the table. Which was a hassle for me because my nose kept running from the spice. Price wasn't bad $7.99 a pound and the crawfish is huge. I would go back next time I'm in town. read more

While we were waiting on our food, I heard some guy in the back say "hey thanks for the crab legs guys". Someone else, said "wait what do you mean what happened" and the girl said "oh well they got here and they changed their minds they wanted shrimp instead" Excuse me but I did NOT change my mind, you got my order wrong. I've here several times. It is not a fancy place, but has always seemed pretty clean. So far I have had the crawfish pho, the crawfish po boy and the amazing garlic noodles. They have all been great, but the pho was the best! The portions are good! There are at least 6 big shrimp in the garlic noodles plus crawfish. The crawfish pho is filled with crawfish tails. I feel like the prices are reasonable. It is usually $9-$11 for lunch before the tip. I usually get it to go so I don't get a drink. read more
