I went to this place thinking to order shrimp Stu, so I did, my surprise was when my food arrived, the shrimp was with the shell with eyes and long hair in there, I asked the lady to let me see the menu because I wanted to know if they specify how they serve the shrimp so she brought me the menu and effectively the menu doesn't specify! so I asked her if she can exchange my food for a mole and she simple told me she can not and she offer to bring me a container so I can take the soup with me and that I have to pay for that since they serve it, she asked me 3 times. She was rude she just step out and bring me the check. So rude. And no customer service at all. read more

Authentic Real Mexican food, there chips and tortillas are made , you automatically get chips and two salsa upon sitting, the Salsa is spicy especially the green, the red is good. I came we had quesadillas which are so delicious and tamales, The burrito was one of the best I had super filling meat. Food doesn't taste to salty which I appreciate. Great customer service, would definitely return. After eating in, I order pickup food get the free chips and salsa yummy freshly made authentic which is great at eaten five times trying to order and try everything. *Highly recommend the Super Burrito, quesadillas, tamales, shredded chicken, Mole is delicious and mild flavor, the rice and beans. My hubby and I had dinner here, there was only two other parties there. We ordered two 3 item combination plates. We waited about 25 minutes for our food. The beans on both our plates were cold. Love, love, love!! Our usual go to is the chimichanga and I always get a special order (whole beans vs retried) and its always done to perfection. An order or guacamole is a must as it's the absolute best!! I was referred to La Dona soon after moving to Fairfield and we are veery happy for that referral!! The food here is fresh and very authentic Mexican food!! Be sure to ask for the green jalapeño salsa when you go, it can be spicy but it's so good!! It burns my mouth but I always go for more!! the corn tortillas are so good! Freshly made - we often buy 3 to bring home. The chili relleno is so dang good!! I have brought a bunch of people from my gym here and they all LOVE it and are repeat customers ! There is one tiny problem- no hard alcohol. But they have wine and beer and the margaritas are made with wine and my friend had one the other day and he said it was very good!! Anyway - definitely recommend!! Have to say I am happy that was the case. When I walked in I was surprised. The inside does not match the outside. If you haven't tried La Dona you need to rush right over and grab some! They make these small crispy tacos called vampiros that are probably the best tacos Ive had in Fairfield. They are open later than most restaurants especially on the weekends and set up outdoor grills and seating for after hours. Exhausted after a day filled with jury selection (it wasn't that bad...just horribly boring), I stopped here to grab a burrito and jam. Ordered an al pastor burrito with refried beans- $8.50. With tax, a little shy of $10. If the name on the receipt was correct, Miguel was an awesome cashier. Granted there was no one else in the place, but he seemed fairly enthusiastic about my order. My burrito was awesome. Even after a fair drive (~30 min or so) it was still piping hot. And those beans were delicious! I like my hot sauces. The hot sauce isn't red here- it's green. That avocado-ish looking stuff that is usually mild at best was so tasty. Since I'd taken it to go, he packed up two little plastic containers for me and I was contemplating what to do with the rest of the meal when I ran out of the green stuff. So tasty. Thsi place is extremely underrated. The food was fabulous and the served was so nice and accommodating. The atmosphere was great. When we came it was very quiet and they played some traditional mexican music. It was lovely. The horchata was delicious and the corn tortillas were the best corn tortillas we have ever eaten. Took the recommendation of getting the green jalapeño salsa with the chips and it's a must! But chips cost to refill. I liked the carnita platter special (Thursday) but wish they gave more than 3 tortillas. Make sure you get the homemade corn tortillas, they were amazing! read more

It was so delicious; a robust tomatillo sauce with slices of onions & poblano peppers. The beans ala chara were yummy and the rice was so authentic tasting. To top it off, hand rolled corn tortillas! Don't waste your money here. Go to La Cabańa de Suisun instead. Since I'm pregnant I wanted to get a quick meal and gave this restaurant a shot due to the other restaurant being packed. The only thing that tasted good was the Horchata. Other than that me and my husband ordered two sep plates. I had the 2 chicken enchiladas(chicken was super hard as if it was reheated), and chile relleno. It definitely tasted like it was reheated and old as well. Love this hidden gem. Authentic, flavorful, delicious Mexican food. I can vouch for the Chile Verde, rice & beans, steak, chicken, & carnitas burrito, chicken nachos, carnitas platter, guacamole, salsa, & chips & their corn tortillias are homemade also. Honestly when this place opened up it was great. We recently visited this place twice last month and today. And both times were absolutely HORRIBLE! The girl server had this horrible attitude. The first time I said hey probably cause they are closing soon and she's having a bad day. She was rude multiple times but my parents told me to ignore her. But today omg let me tell you. We had asked what kind of meat do they have and she said the menu is right there look at it. Then rolled her eyes and spaced out at the felling. What the f$?*%.
