Came in and shared an Everything Plate with a friend it's a good sized snack to share. The items on the plate seemed to be curated as they went well together and were different than what comes at other places. The service was friendly. The place is louder than I would prefer if you're coming in to meet and chat with a friend.

This tapas/wine bar is coming up on its first year anniversary but it was my first visit. The ambiance is a very cool blend of history and modern bistro that offers small plates and lovely wines from the Iberian peninsula. Jamon, olives, cheeses, Barrio Bread!, marcona almonds. Delicious and they also feature local art and live music. I cannot say enough about the venue and the vibe. Situated a few short blocks from 4th Ave but worlds apart in experience. Chic, hip, cosy, everything you want in a good neighborhood bodega. We were greeted immediately by waitstaff, chef, and owner in short order. They offered a decent wine selection, Amari, cocktails and beer. The tapas were beautifully arranged and served with flair. Just a perfect late afternoon respite after a busy day. I urge you to drop by and enjoy the Spanish tapas ambiance done Tucson style. Salud!

Beautiful cozy and well decorated bar. We came here because they had a wonderful Dj. playing on a Sunday afternoon. They have a good selection of tapas, wine, cider and beers. We ordered a charcuterie board that wasn't outstanding but good enough to enjoy with a beer. The manchego cheese side was very good. The service was a little slow but our waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable. Perfect place to enjoy a drink with friends or a date.

We came here Saturday night for drinks, and I love the ambiance--it's really cute. They were out of cava, so I tried the L'Acote rosé and a spritz with rosé instead of cava. I wasn't a fan of the rosé, but the spritz was better. That said, I'd definitely prefer it with cava. I really enjoyed the Castellano olives, corn nuts, and Marcona almonds. Since it was late, they weren't serving cheese, but I hope they offer it later at night in the future--along with bread. It would also be great if they had non-pork charcuterie options, like beef. I'll definitely be back!

    Beautiful front entrance.

A brand new beautifully lit and curated wine and tapas bar in the heart of 9th Ave historic district. We enjoyed the n/a cocktails as well as the bread and cheese plates. The plates are served family style with plenty of great snacks to share. They offer wines and beer along side the tapas. The space is gorgeous, exposed brick with thoughtfully placed art and vintage mirrors. Can't wait to come back.

My first impression is the outdoor-friendly design, with a bar that is half al fresco and the other half inside. Shutters can close the al fresco section out during inclement weather. It was a quiet evening, with a few diehard clients at the bar. I walked in, studied the rotating menu, and settled for the one wheat beer on the list: #18 Enegren Schoener Tag Hefeweizen (5%ABV) from Moorpark, CA. It was quite flavorful with good mouth feel. I sat al fresco at the bar looking in. I enjoyed the ambiance. The inside is designed for groups to sit together and talk while sampling beer or wine. Four TVs were on the wall as an afterthought. The beertender was busy cleaning equipment before closing, but he explained to me that while the beer list rotates, the first five are staples, dominated by sours and IPAs although several lagers are also available. There is plenty of parking in the rear although I noticed that lighting is only toward the strip mall. The rear spaces are dark. I asked about dogs. Only service dogs are allowed.

It's a fun and also elegant atmosphere with the zebra theme clearly exemplified across the space. I would have to say this is one of the coziest bars I've been to, the furniture and seating is really supportive of a long-term visit. There are other levels, lower and an upper level besides the main space, but be aware that if there are parties, they can typically take up different areas. Our bartender, Sarah was fantastic! The way that she handled all of the guests and the busy field was incredible, so calm and collected, and furthermore making some really incredible drinks. Heads up that the online drink menu is not the current drink menu, I couldn't remember all the names of our drinks and put those in the photo captions, so when I checked on the website, the menu was showing something different other than what I saw at the bar. Out of several places I've been to, I'd say the mixture of flavors and details in the drinks are quite unique. I'll be back for more one day

We'd heard good things about this place and have been trying to support local downtown bars this summer, so we stopped in around 11 on a Friday night before heading home. As we sat down, we watched the bartender be pretty dismissive toward another group at the bar, so we were already a little unsure. We started talking about the decor because we liked the eclectic vibe. We jokingly pointed out that one of the pictures had a joint instead of a cigarette because someone in our group hadn't noticed. One of the bartender's first comments back, completely seriously, was, "I'm from San Diego. Have you never seen art before?" Honestly... what? It was such a weird, unnecessarily condescending response. I brushed it off at first as awkward banter, but it was a really strange first impression. The drinks were decent. The Loverlist was really good, and the Unicorn Fluff and Old Fashioned were fine. The bartender was quick to talk up their whiskey selection, but when we asked for a recommendation, she mostly gave reasons why she couldn't recommend anything and just kept saying they had "over 90 different options." Without a whiskey menu to look through, that wasn't especially helpful. We also asked for a shooter and were offered half of a cocktail instead. That would've been totally fine on its own, but combined with everything else, the service just never felt welcoming. We ended up leaving pretty quickly. I'd give the place another shot because the atmosphere is fun and has a lot of potential, but hopefully with a different bartender behind the bar.

It feels like you're tucked away in an intimate little wine cellar, which makes the whole experience feel special. It can get a little tight in the seating area when it's busy, but honestly, I think it's worth it. The wine glasses are clean (which should be a given, but sadly isn't always!), and the wine is delicious. They also have an entire bowl of pickles that you can order, and as a pickle lover, I was very happy about this. The bread and butter is simple, but sometimes simple is exactly what you want with a glass of wine. But the star of the show for me was the pinto hummus. I know hummus is made from beans, but it somehow never occurred to me to make it with the humble pinto bean. Whoever came up with that deserves a round of applause. Chef's kiss. So freaking good. Sunshine Wine has great wine, a cozy atmosphere, and food that's creative without trying too hard. I'm definitely coming back for that pinto hummus alone.

My concern is with the food--none of the dishes we ordered tasted good, and the price was high for the portions we received. The ceasar salad, for example, was bland, and the dressing was salty and bitter. When compared to the salad at a restaurant just down to road, I found this one inedible. I rarely write reviews and I don't do this in a mean-spirited way--I would love to see a local restaurant and bar succeed. It is just that we paid $83 for two drinks and 4 small plates, and couldn't eat two of them and left hungry. I hope the food can improve!
