The breakfast sandwich was greasy and the croissant was perfect, but the flavors of the other ingredients didn't really blend well to feel like a sandwich if that makes any sense. It felt like I was eating each thing separately vs eating a sandwich. In and out kind of place so service wasn't an issue, but the cashier was nice. There is no seating so there's that as well. Wow I thought my two months trying 5+ french pastries in Seattle would suffice but no, Denver knocked it out of the park with this amazing business. We ordered plain, almond and ham & cheese croissants + drip coffee. All are amazingly flaky, buttery and delicious! * Ham & Cheese: packed with delicious ham and melty cheese, it was so flavorful and juicy. I have had dry ham and cheese croissant before so this definitely beats my expectations * Almond croissant: has almond paste, distinctive almond extract flavor (might be good or bad to different people), crunchy almond slices on top. They are flakyyy, but still buttery when torn apart not the crunchy type of flaky, which is good imo. * Butter croissant: A good standard croissant, it makes a good basis for the other flavored ones. * Drip coffee: A dark roast, was alright to me nothing spectacular. Overall 9.5/10 experience. You might need to wait a bit on the weekends as it's quite crowded, we passed by at 10am and the chocolate croissants were already sold out. Absolutely outstanding brunch experience. Inside is completely adorable and I love how you can see their pastry case with all the goodies. The cinnamon roll is the best one I've ever had in my life. My husband and I both did the build your own breakfast sandwich. This place is great. Went with two of the ladies in my life and my dog. Sat outside in the sun and had the corn beef and hash. Stole some bites of the chocolate French toast from my daughter. Everything was delicious. Great brunch spot on a weekend. Didn't actually get inside (had the dog) but service was friendly and it absolutely had a friendly family vibe. La Fillette is my holy grail. A bakery that stays open late with a cocktail menu?! If you have a "cheat day" this place is the spot for you. My oh my, does it have delectable, dense treats. We ordered the pretzel bites, the cheese curds, poutine, burgers, and the Brussels sprouts (the only remotely green, "healthy" item on the menu). All of it was delicious, but my favorite was the burger on a croissant bun. I ditched the cheese and added pickled shallots and mustard for a tangy crunch. I'd highly recommend you try it! The beverages were also fantastic and on the lighter, less "spirit forward" side. The one thing this place could benefit from is a frisée salad or a few more roasted vegetables to balance the meal. The French onion soup was a little cool but still a good flavor. When we mentioned this to the manager he said he would address it immediately. We told him too late we already ate it. This attitude carried to staff. Attentive and always smiling. Honestly some of the best croissants I've had outside of France. Stunningly layers, crispy, buttery perfection. My personal fav was the ham& cheese filled everything croissant (as someone who is a sucker for everything bagels this drew my eye immediately). Their kouign amann was also no slouch at all and totally worth grabbing. My 2.5yo covered himself in chocolate from the pain au chocolat. We also bought an olive loaf which was pretty darn delicious as well. I will say the coffee left a lot to be desired for me - but I am not counting them as a coffee shop and their pastries were just so excellent I don't feel right not going 5 stars here. The overall vibe of the place seems weird from the outside, just tucked into a strip of shops near a sports bar and a liquor store. I was confused but as soon as I got near the door the smell of fresh bread and butter hit my nose instantly. No real seating indoor, there may have been a back? But I missed that. The food selection was awesome: lots of typical French bakery goods (quiche, croissants savory and dessert, baguette etc) which all seemed fresh because of smell and I could see them prepping everything in the back, loved it. I was recommended to order: Croissant, egg, sausage, tomato bacon jam, garlic feta cheese. Had my puppy so was bummed to no be able to eat it on the spot and was afraid of soggy takeout but I was extremely surprised at how crispy the croissant still was after. Each bite was a 10/10. Perfect combination. My girlfriend ordered a similar sandwich with greens, mushrooms and cheese which a 5/5 from her. We used to love getting breakfast sandwiches on Saturday mornings from their location on 8th. Service was always quick and orders came correct. We would get a text message when our food was ready for pickup-couldn't have been more seamless. Since they moved to their new location on 14th, all of the above have been lack luster to say the least. We waited for what felt like forever for them to open again, only to get disappointed. Our food that we had ordered online was sitting up at the front long enough for it to be cold when we got it. We didn't receive a text message when our food was ready as we did previously. This happened the 3 times that we got food after they opened. Not to mention, all three times we got food at the new location, the orders were incorrect. I hope they are able to fix these issues, but since it is a restaurant now, I'm not sure they will prioritize to-go orders. read more

The shop is small and cute and tends to run out of things on the weekend, so it's best to go early if you want the best selection. Nowhere to sit during COVID, but there is one bench outside to sit at while you wait for your order. It takes a little while for them to make your food (~15 minutes) so its probably best to order ahead online, so you don't have to wait outside in the cold. We got the almond croissant and almond galette. These pastries were standardly priced, but were not impressive. The almond croissant did have a decent amount of marzipan, but instead of being incorporated/baked into the croissant, the croissant was split and it was added in afterwards, which is not as tasty. We did not like the galette, the pastry itself was dry and unflavorful and the filling similarly had very little flavor. The croissant sandwich was pretty tasty and you get to choose three things to go inside it ($8)- I got the duck confit, bacon and gruyere in my sandwich.
