This place is a must when in the area! Stopping by on a Saturday during lunch time was definitely not the right move (super busy) but it was so worth it. First of all, the parking situation was hectic. There aren't enough spots available, therefore the traffic gets backed up bad onto the road. Luckily, there were two open spots when I stopped by so I avoided that mess. We walked in and it was a madhouse. The inside was crammed with goodies and it was kind of hard to get around all the tables and merchandise. No one knew where the line was at nonetheless knew who was in line. There were people standing around everywhere. After all the confusion, it was finally our turn to order. We ordered a pepperoni pizza and a few chocolate chip cookies. We found a table on the patio and waited for our food. The wait time was not bad. We waited about 15 minutes. People watching here was very interesting... The pizza was delicious. Hot and crispy. Last time I was in Phoenix I got the gluten free pizza with cashew cheese and I was OBSESSED. I chose coming to layover in PHX just to get the pizza again at their airport location, only to find that they don't serve GF pizza at the airport. When I ended up in PHX again, I was so excited for that pizza, and it was NOT the same. Everything tasted different and both my friend and I felt anxious the night we ate. The next day I tried the pizza again (bc I'm in love w the Sonoma chop salad) and it tasted WAYYYY better, like a totally different sauce and cheese. Amazing. I felt great. I ordered it one last night, last night, and it tasted like night 1 again and made me anxious. I'm not sure why the lack of consistency! The customer service has always seemed really nice. This place is fabulous! On a recent trip to Phoenix, I stayed at an Airbnb right around the corner. My friend told me to stop in for coffee, I ended up going every single day. LGR is a good place to try if you love pizza or pastries. It is a mixture of restaurant and a corner store so you can a few things while you're there. I rate the service a 3/5 but food is a solid 4.3/5. I went twice and only had issues once. The Asian chicken salad was perfect with lots of subtle flavors and good crunch. The turkey sandwich was like the NY Style deli sandwiches - huge and perfect for big mouths. The Americano with steamed milk was very tasty. As we waited for our order, we perused the place: the wines, prepard food, ice cream, chachkas - tee shirts, socks trinkets, cookbooks, children's books, old fashioned candy, old fashioned kids toys, the list goes on. Stopped by based on the reviews. The experience was unfortunately disappointing. Customer service was lacking - had to ask for someone to get a cup of coffee made, no one was there. Similarly had to ask for assistance getting a salad. It wasn't very busy which made the lack of service more odd. LGO is a super cute place in the community. It's definitely very popular amongst the people in Arcadia and Biltmore area. One of my friends went for brunch and said it was really good. I personally didn't go but instead I went in and got the everything but the kitchen sink cookie and it was absolutely awesome. I wish it came warm but if you warm it up yourself it's a 10 out of 10. It's massive, easy to share with people but I could've probably eaten it all on my own because it was so good. I love the atmosphere of the place. They have a bunch of stuff like pizza baked goods breakfast items all day. Pretty hip place. It was so crowded on Sunday at noon that I realized this is the place to be in Phoenix! So ambiance is cool, especially with the store inside that you can check out. There's an LA feel to it overall. I got the Berkeley bowl and added salmon to it. When it came, I saw there was a tiny piece of salmon, so I went back and asked for a real piece, given how I paid so much extra for it. They gave me a side dish of smoked salmon to make up for it. Had black coffee too, and it was really good. Not bitter at all. The salmon thing was just a tad annoying. The service is professional, but not friendly at all. It left me with a bitter taste of LGO. BEWARE! Do not use a credit card at the LGO in Phx Sky Harbor airport!! It is not secure! I ONLY use my credit card on trips so I can track my spending. I did the self check out where you place your items on the tray and it totals it for you. Five hours later when I landed in Atlanta I had a fraud alert from chase saying someone tried to buy $550.00 worth of stuff from Target.com! I had to cancel my card which totally screws up my trip! GRRRRR I called the location to give them the heads up that their system has been compromised and the gal on the phone was just like "sorry" not my problem.... I love this place. It's a staple in our dining-out rotation. Their pizza is amazing (especially with the sourdough crust). They also have a pretty good gluten-free crust! I also love their coffee drinks and pastries. They only have table service for dinner (I believe after 4pm?). The little bar inside is also super cute, as are the knickknacks in the shop. Tried this place for the first time and husband and I were impressed with not just the food but the superb service! I regret not remembering our servers name but he took excellent care of us. The manager personally came over to apologize for the wait time on our food and bought us a round of drinks. When done we went next door the grocery store to see what sweet treats were awaiting for us. We split the red velvet cake and it was probably the best red velvet I have ever had. After living in Scottsdale for a year, I had heard enough about LGO that I felt like I finally had to check it out for myself. My boyfriend and I came here on a Saturday for a late lunch/early dinner. I had heard so much about it that I didn't want to attempt to go at regular dinner time as it could be super busy. I wasn't expecting it to be more of a "market" type concept. We walked into a cramped convenience store area and found our way to the register to order our meals. I had to look quite a bit at the menu. Unfortunately, the original item I wanted to order was only available on certain days and then when I tried to order fries with my tuna melt, I was told "we only serve fries after 4pm." So their menu is just really difficult to follow since certain items are only available on certain days/times. So I ended up getting just a tuna melt sandwich (no chips, side, etc came with it). My boyfriend and I sat in the seating area next door. It was steady, but a few tables were open. We sat in there and waited for quite some time but were really unclear on how our food would come up. Finally, I went to the area where pizzas were being made and the employee told me that my sandwich would be back over where I had placed my order. Sure enough, I walked back into that room and the sandwich has been sitting there. As for my boyfriend's pizza, they eventually called out his name. Just would have been nice for the employees to give us an FYI on how we get our food as we were walking away from the resister. All this confusion for a tuna melt that honestly was not great at all. I'd much prefer one I could make at home over this. And given it had no side, I was still hungry after. I really do not think I'd come back here. However, they did have a delectable array of sweets options. I ended up getting the peanut butter pie and that was good. All told, they may be more of a 2.5 stars for me, but given that I really would prefer not to go back knocks them down to 2 stars (whereas 3 stars in my opinion is a place I didn't love, but am more willing to give a second chance). I first started going to LGO when I lived in PHX over ten years ago. It was awesome then and now that I'm back and living walking distance, it's back in the rotation. The fact that a place can be just as good and consistent now 13 years later if not better is really a testament to them. Restaurants are often inconsistent. Staying power like they have is built on great food, a comfortable environment, and being part of the community. You cannot go wrong with a pizza here or really anything else they have. LGO or La Grande Orange is actually a group of restaurants, most of which are consistent and delicious. I love their hot pressed tuna sandwich and their stacked turkey sandwich. These are available up to 5pm. They do have deli offerings after 5pm. They also have one of the best bakeries in the metro Phoenix area. After 5pm, they switch over to their sourdough pizza, which if you like that style of pizza is fabulous! I'm partial to their mushroom pizza. The other restaurant they own is Chelsea's Kitchen which is very close to LGO. Parking can be challenging at all their locations, largely because of the robust clientele. At LGO, they have a drive up area to pick up to go orders which is very helpful. The staff is also excellent! Simply stated, it's tough to go wrong there, or any of their restaurants! read more

This is the ultimate Arcadia gem. I always bring out of towers here. From the food to the gift shop, I've never been disappointed. Also, their orange blossom and holiday candles are to die for- they're legit the only candles I burn in my house year round. First time I was able to order a pizza with customized toppings but yesterday I was told if I wanted a pizza that was different from their combinations I had to pay for a cheese pizza plus add ons. So if you want one of their pre-determined options your pizza would range from $16-19 for as many as 8 toppings. But if you want to just put 2 toppings on a pizza, it would cost $23. That is the only reason I wouldn't give 5 stars here. If an 8-topping pizza is $19 why would a 2 topping pizza be $23? Calamari was good but too many tentacles, not enough rings. Dessert was good - had gelato. Our server seemed... frazzled. Beyond that, great food! Enjoyed the shop next door as well. read more

The food here was extremely good! I loved The Commuter breakfast sandwich I got with bacon and avocado added. The English muffin really made it special. The sea salt chocolate chip cookie was amazing! My son got bacon and it was perfectly cooked and crispy! I really didn't appreciate that while we waited for our food there was no where to stand except by the socks for sale which looked fun until you look close and most of them have swear words on it. Not cool! What's the need for this? We saw other products with swear words too which I especially didn't appreciate because my son was with me. read more

Very impressed with La Grande Orange. We had never been here before and we were a little confused on how to order when we walked into the market for the first time but some regulars helped us out and we got our food ordered. First we ordered the Roasted Corn Pizza and it was wonderful. So flavorful and topped and cooked perfectly. We hadn't eaten all day so we were still a little hungry so we ordered the Vegan Dalai Lama Pizza and again super impressed and so flavorful and cooked to perfection. Both times the crust was the star for all the delicious toppings. Thin, crispy and just an Awesome crust!! We took our left overs home and can't wait to enjoy them tomorrow. What a wonderful place and as well as a great place to eat they are a grocery store and Deli with a Bar. I can't believe I've never written a review for this place as I've been multiple times! This is one of my family's faves whenever they're in town. I've tried a few things on the menu, today I got the veggie sandwich. It was so delicious and filling, had veggies and cheese. The tomatoes were super juicy which made the sandwich slightly soggy but overall very good. The Mayan latte was pretty yummy too, I got it iced with oat milk. My mom got a chai and didn't love it but they were happy to give her a green tea when she told them! And my mom did like the green tea. My husband loves the English muffins so I got some to bring home for him! Love the store in here too, so cute! read more

I come here quite a bit for a coffee or lunch. The food is great and I like the cute gifts. The parking is tough, but it doesn't keep me away. However, some people that work there though make me want to take my business elsewhere. One girl at the register has zero personality or communication skills. She got my drink wrong because it's loud in there, and instead of clarifying anything, she just puts in whatever she thinks she heard and says nothing. Another was super rude when I pulled up to curbside, before I could even communicate what I ordered, she cut me off and scolded me for parking in the curbside space (which was also the only space) and walked away. This place is very cute and part of a small group of restaurants/shops I enjoy. I've mainly come here for the beverages or a few to go items. Every latte I've gotten has been good but I do wish they expanded their menu a little. Maybe adding matcha or other teas like an earl grey. I think that would make a big difference. Also the drinks in the little mart are quite overpriced (I'm talking 12$ for a soda prices). I have tried a few interesting things but not worth the price. Their salad which is to go is actually great quality though! I would say overall I love this spot but it can be overpriced and their drink menu can expand a bit. read more
