Went to this location during its Soft Opening Weekend with one of my friends. We each ordered a drink and a toast. I ordered before she did and got my drink before she did, which made sense. However, as we went to go sit, she heard her name called for her toast which lead me to think that mine was probably next. 15 minutes passed and I still didn't hear my name called or see my order on the counter. I went up to go ask and the employee told me that they were a little delayed and that it would be out in a few minutes. Ok cool, but how did my friend who ordered after me already get hers? It already didn't make sense. But I trusted the employees and it was pretty busy so I went to go sit down again. After about 30 minutes, my friend and I had already finished our drinks and she had shared part of her toast with me. So I went back up to the counter to check what the delay was. Again, the employee gave me the run around, the orders were delayed and it would be out pretty soon. Didn't ask what my order was or my order number, by the way. So how would he know? So I went to go sit down again. Eventually, after another 20-30 minutes I was ready to give up when one of the managers came up to our table to ask how everything was. Finally, mentioned my toast and how I hadn't gotten it. She went to go check and finally came back with my toast (yay!) and told me that the order had been lost. We wasted so much time waiting for this toast and it wasn't even that good to be honest. The employees at this location don't necessarily care about paying customers. This could've gotten resolved a lot quicker if they had cared to actually check what the hold up was instead of just brushing me off. It was also insanely loud in there, with the employees yelling every few minutes "LA LA LAND!!" It's just a completely different experience to the Scottsdale Quarter location. They are still finding their footing, as it's only been open a few weeks, but the long lines move a bit faster and the walk up window is mostly in service. CUTE PLACE BUT... I really want to love La La Land because the drinks are actually GOOD. Like they don't miss on flavor, and the banana chai?? OBSESSED. That alone almost keeps me coming back. BUT the service... every time I go it's just not it. The staff comes off rude and unwelcoming, especially at the mobile pickup. It honestly kills the whole vibe. And speaking of mobile orders don't even think you're saving time. The wait is still long, like 20 minutes even when your order says it's ready. I stumbled upon this place their first week open, so I want to caveat that I'm sure they're still figuring it out! First, the drinks are delicious (albeit sweeter than they sound), and the kids avocado toast was amazingly large for a kid's portion. However, I mobile ordered, and the wait time the app said vs the actual wait time was like, 20min difference--which I didn't love (note that they had my drink ready but getting my toast took forever). Again, I am sure it's figuring out the app times vs the real times (and also opening week rush) so I tried them again the next day (just a drink) and it was done on time, plus it was delicious. Next time I'm in Arcadia, I'll probably try food again and hope they've figured out their scheduling. (It's a little weird they all yell "love you!" when you leave, right? Here's what we tried ; the cold matcha, and it was a lot of matcha, their hot and cold lavender espresso with soy- wasn't bad, but tasted better hot. Had the cold strawberry w/ matcha, and it was underwhelming. The banana cold brew would be the only thing I'd return for. It had muddled but not overpowering banana in it. Their avocado toast was good, tasted fresh so bonus. The ham/cheese croissant had good portion of ham, Staff is upbeat and although the line was really long, it went by fairly quick. The famous La La land now has a couple spots in AZ! I had heard amazing things about this coffee shop and had to check it out for myself. I tried the matcha squared latte which was truly delicious. I am quite particular about matcha, but they use high quality matcha and the drinks have a nice strong flavor. The store itself is adorable with seating inside and out, though it can get very busy. The drinks can be on the pricier side but honestly worth it for a nice treat every once in a while! read more

This coffee house is located in Kirkland commons and is extremely busy. If you don't mind a large crowd and people coming in and out this is for you. I ordered the la la chai and after trying it I can see why they're so busy, it was strong, sweet and delicious. The cups are a unique style as well. The atmosphere was beautiful and there was a lot of staff ensuring it is clean I planned to study but the music was so loud (as loud as a club) so I left. read more

I ordered the iced French Toast Latte from here (decaf with oatmilk). I checked with the person I ordered from that they had decaf, and she confirmed yes. There was another person that ordered with me, and her drink was the Banana Cloud Late with oatmilk. Hers was delicious! My partners order came out, and we waited another 20 minutes before asking where the second drink was (there was a line out the door and everyone was slammed so we wanted to give some grace). They checked, and the drink was nowhere to be found for me, and when they were writing down my order to expedite it, they said they didn't have decaf and I would have to do full espresso or matcha. I ordered the French Toast Matcha. They got it out, and while I was walking out the door and tried it, it was just plain matcha. By this time, we had waited 45 minutes over the whole experience and it was not worth going back in, waiting in line, and explaining myself all over again. Wow. Just wow. Going into it, you wonder if a place this trendy can actually live up to the social media buzz, but their concept absolutely works. There is a very valid reason people are willing to stand in line under the blasting sun just to get their hands on this coffee and matcha. Since we were only visiting once, deciding what to order was an agonizing choice because everything looked so good. We ultimately went with the special edition Tiramisu drink, and oh my goodness, it was amazing. It literally felt like drinking a perfect, liquefied dessert. At around $10 with oat milk, it is definitely not a cheap coffee run. It is a premium treat, but for a special vacation stop, it is worth the splurge. What makes it worth it is that they have thought of absolutely everything. They hand out shopping bags for your goodies, and they even give out free bandanas for dogs. It is all in the details, right down to the signature heart-shaped straws and heart cup-toppers that make the whole experience feel incredibly special and curated. The first time was right after they opened and I waited in line for about 15 mins before ordering then another 10 for the drinks. The 2nd time I ordered via the app and walked up to the window for pickup but noted the line was much shorter. I love the strawberry cloud latte. I love the design and decoration inside the shop. Tried the new La La Land Coffee this morning (Wednesday) around 7:25am because the app was dangling 50% off food + drinks in front of me and I have the self-control of a golden retriever. Ordered to-go through the app and didn't even go inside, just parked and walked up to the little side pick-up window about 10 minutes later. Credit where it's due: the whole order was ready when we got there, and they were clearly starting to get busy. The only funny part was the handoff... the girl behind the counter seemed a little distracted and told me she was still "waiting on our drinks," while our drinks were literally sitting right next to the avocado toast, both labeled with my name like they were trying to raise their hand in class. Not a big deal, just one of those "first week open" moments where everything is right in front of us but nobody is emotionally prepared. Food-wise, we got the Queen Avocado Toast and it is... large. Like "this is not a snack, this is an adult decision" large. The bread tastes fresh (almost like homemade bread) which I loved, but it wasn't crisp (I suspect the cream cheese is to blame) and it was a little under-toasted for my preference (I'm a "toast should toast" person). I'd give the bread a solid 7/10. The avocado, though? 9/10... creamy, fresh, and not a single brown spot in sight, whoever scooped that avocado understood the assignment. The seasoning on top was generous, maybe a little too generous on the red pepper flakes (it leaned spicy), and I kept thinking it could use a little more salt (or everything bagel seasoning) to balance it out. Also: there's cream cheese under the avocado, which sounds fun in theory, but I think it might be what's softening the bread a bit--next time I'm going to try it without the cream cheese and just do straight avocado so the toast can stay toastier. Drink lineup was the banana latte, and the iced "Perfect Latte" with matcha + cloud top. Visually, the matcha/cloud top situation is a whole photoshoot in a cup, and the banana latte is exactly what it sounds like--in the best way--sweet and cozy without feeling like you're drinking melted candy. Overall, for a brand-new spot during the morning rush, I'm impressed. Fast app pickup, the avocado was fresh, and the only real "issue" was a quick moment of drink-blindness at the window (it happens to the best of us). I'll definitely be back to try the variety of drinks an teas and then I can test my "no cream cheese" theory like the very serious avocado toast scientist I apparently am now. read more

On the plus side, everyone in there was pleasant and cheerful. Unfortunately that's it for the positives. Their pastry selection is 4 choices. Got the almond croissant - I'm pretty sure it was a day old and not that good to begin with. But the worst part is the service. My order was 2 croissants. They are in a display case right next to the person takin my order. But does she then hand them to me? No. I have to go wait in line for the order to be handled. The people handling orders make several coffees. And then... they're all just standing there waiting for the next order to handle. I finally asked one of them if they could process my order. She brought me 1 croissant. When I asked about the second she said another person there was handling it. And she was - got it shortly. After visiting the la la land in California and LOVING my drink. I've decided to drive 30 + minutes for the same drink that I remembered. But in this case It's not what I remembered. This one is wayy too strong to the point it over powers the banana and the foam welp what a disappointment :/ at least they had good music tho. If you like a strong coffee maybe you will enjoy it. I'd also like to add I did call and everything was situated so I do like how they handled the situation as my drink was mixed up then remade but not the best. read more

Now where do I start. Overall service is great everyone is very welcoming. Well almost everyone, there is one barista particularly that I was not fond of when I came to this establishment. I believe her name is Jayce she was the one that took my order. She was very rude, she seemed impatient like I was taking too much of her time, as well as pushy. Her tone wasn't very welcoming and she seemed done with the order before we even started, maybe I was her final straw. I brought home goodies for the family where I'm sure they'll be a hit. Although a small location, it felt very light and airy with the right touch of elegance. Just okay. Really overpriced for the out of drink you're getting. The flavor, well happy it was real matcha but disappointing in the flavor executions, not horrible but not great. Of course coming from a true coffee connoisseur that is. It's super close to me but for coffee and the value id rather stop by the Henry. Maybe I'd give the matcha another shot but the matcha chai flavor just tasted like plain matcha no chai flavor notes. Not sure if it was indifference, lack of intelligence or Jayce was temporarily in an alternate reality as we conversed. Stopped by La La Land during Mother's Day weekend. Great location, great views, and definitely a popular coffee stop. The downside was the online and mobile ordering process seemed completely overwhelmed with the holiday traffic. You could tell the staff was working hard, but they simply could not keep up with the volume coming in. Orders were taking quite a while and the flow behind the counter felt pretty backed up. That said, the team stayed friendly through the rush, and the overall experience was still solid. With a better system for handling peak volume weekends, this place could operate much more smoothly. read more

Bonus for the cute drink stoppers that have a heart on top, very adorable :) Inside decor is cheery with yellow throughout and a gorgeous oversized chandelier.
