Went there for a late lunch and business happy hour during the week - Tuesday May 27. Sat at the bar and hosted two clients. Bar staff were rude and clearly didn't want to be there. They ignored us and deliberately made us wait for drinks - we were sitting right there! Clowns! We'd been eagerly waiting for La Loma to open, so when it finally did, we were excited to check it out. We went on a Friday night and, to our surprise, were seated with only about a 10-minute wait a good start. Our server was friendly at the beginning, but unfortunately became hard to find as the night went on. Service overall was slow, from the kitchen to the bar. We were only able to get one round of drinks, and even those came out incorrectly the first time. The kids' menu was given verbally. We had to repeatedly ask for chip and salsa refills, which felt like a hassle for something that should be fairly standard especially with the kitchen being so slow. As for the food, it was decent, but not particularly memorable. For the price, we were expecting more in both quality and experience. To top it off, we had to flag down someone else just to get our check. We really wanted to love this place, but overall it didn't live up to the anticipation. read more

The place was closed for a long time, but I drove by it all the time on Parker Road and recently saw that it had reopened. I heard something about a divorce being behind the closure. Well, that's fitting--because after one terrible meal, I'm divorcing La Loma. Two Diet Cokes, chips and salsa, some guacamole, a combo plate with a chicken enchilada and bean burrito, and the "tequila" shrimp plate. With a 22% tip (it's not the waitperson's fault), that came to $100! Yes, $100 for a subpar Mexican meal--with no alcoholic drinks. On one hand, I'm thinking maybe a few drinks might have made the meal more tolerable, but then I'm sure the tab would have been $160 or $170. Earth to La Loma: not many--if any--folks can pay $100 for dinner. What made it even more painful is that the food just wasn't good. La Loma prides itself on a "scratch kitchen." That's either not accurate, or the scratch chef has no idea how to cook. As my daughter said, we would have had a much better (and obviously less expensive) experience at Chipotle. It goes without saying--this was both our first and last time at the reopened La Loma on Parker Road. read more

We were celebrating several birthdays at the Parker location. Food. as usual, was great! We had got on their email list and so some of our Margaritas were free with entree per a coupon. We added flavors and were first told n/c by the waitress but later told the mgr said chg for just the added flavors. n/p as I thought this was correct anyway. We asked the waitress to split our checks and she agreed. We caught that the waitress had charged us for the "free" margaritas and she had to go back and remove them. The waitress then proceeded to give my friend the full check for my and her group combined. My friend was busy with conversation and just handed her a credit card and she ran away as I tried to stop her and ran the whole thing on that credit card. My friend said "We'll figure it out later!" when I said it was wrong. I went on their website later and the max my bill should have been w/tax based on La Loma's menu prices was $129 (3 people) but my friend paid a $325 total w/o tip (my friend tipped $50 on my advice based on the bad handling). My friends should have been a max of $125 for their part (2 people). So $254 vs the $325. Can't fix now as obviously it's "he said/she said" but just want everyone to know that if you have a party at La Loma and want separate checks appoint someone to keep track of things so you don't get overcharged and watch out that they don't mishandle their coupon offers. Fairly, I should have stopped the process but didn't want to raise an issue while others were enjoying the celebration. It left a bad taste in my mouth over the handling of the check and I probably won't go there again as there are other wonderful Mexican restaurants in the Parker area. read more

I'm quite disappointed. As a lifelong Texan, this "Tex-Mex" could hardly be described as Mexican. The food was quite bland, the beans tasted like it was canned, and the price did not justify the "meh at best" quality. Hell, I made an account just to warn others of this place. read more

I really hesitated to go to La Loma in Parker because the prices are pretty high. However, they have a new $17 lunch that we should all take advantage of! My daughter went last week and raved about everything. I went today with a friend and we enjoyed delicious and very filling burritos and sopapillas. The Acapulco salad is yummy! Our waiter was very attentive and helped me decide on green chili on the side. I can't wait to go again. read more

Disappointed. I know they just opened but it was ridiculous how long people had to wait for a table when there were many empty. Next, I asked for a booth. Now I am overweight, but I think I'm average overweight, but I've never been sat in a booth that was so tight it was uncomfortable. The service wasn't bad but being uncomfortable didn't help. My husband had the fajitas and I've never seen fajitas come out and there was no sizzle. Such a shame cause the one in castle rock was comfortable and the food was much better. read more

Well it's arrived, and not what I was hoping for. Overall all of the ingredients are within the restaurant to be excellent one day! Unfortunately you can only hope it will get there soon. My experience was overall pleasant, but you could see the issues very clearly with what all of the current reviews are saying. #1- all of the issues are correctable, but it will be 100% up to MANAGEMENT to correct them. You can tell that whoever opened, hired, and is managing this restaurant clearly does not know what they're doing whatsoever. #2- There needs to be a direct aim by management at making sure the food quality is up to standards. Even on a Tuesday night an hour before closing. From the sounds of the reviews there is no aim at maintaining standards during prime business hours, nor was there during when I went at 8:40p.m on a Tuesday. A fajita plate needs to come out sizzling. No excuses for that. Yes the tortillas are clearly store bought. You have literally way too many waiters focused on looking busy to appease clueless management. Grab one and teach them how to use the tortillas griddle. Maybe teach management how to use it since they're clearly not focused on walking around checking in on tables for feedback on what a terrible job they're doing. #3- wait staff does need work, but my server Cassie was excellent! I believe in the reviews of some wait staff hiccups, and do understand the frustration, but bad service can be overlooked by really good food. Unfortunately the back of house does not even know how to cook the food correctly. There needs to be a leader to step up to run this restaurant correctly. Who that will be will be appreciated because nobody will make any money there if they continue to run like this. People have been waiting for the La Loma Parker to open. Hopefully the owner understands that opening a restaurant isn't just opening the restaurant. You have to actually run a restaurant for it to be profitable for everyone. Cut the fat in management if they're not doing anything. Cut the fat in staff if unfortunately they don't figure it out within a reasonable amount of time. This restaurant is small. Not great. This is a knock off of the original and the prices are really high for the offering. No views and cramped bar. I believe they have come under new ownership and the food quality and service just isn't the same. I will probably give them one more chance before I decide if I will ever come back. Went opening night which is was my mistake at first. I expected delays for sure. The good the service our waitress was great. It took over 45 minutes to get our drinks from the bar, add another 45 to get our meals. Really wanted to love this restaurant. Alas, food was bland and service was slow. Mexican rice was very bland, as were the refried beans. The entrees (enchiladas, tostados, Chile relleno) - all unremarkable. Sauces had no interest, nor the entrees. I have never had such bland Mexican food. read more
