We got the blueberry cheesecake milkshake and loved it! - it was very sweet, rich, creamy and thick (cause of the flavor) We went when it was 10pm on a Friday, and it was packed! Only 6 people were allowed in (due to COVID) and because there's a drive thru option, service was very very slow- short staffed for sure. It probably took us 20 minutes to order and get our drink, and we were third in line in the store. Must go here if exploring Pilsen. They have water based paletas that are dairy free and made from fruit juice. I tried one that was super sweet, tangy and spicy with Chamoy or Tajin in it that was so good, called Escamocha. Very fun and never had anything like that before. This was pre pandemic in November 2019. This ice cream is delicious. Ganzito is like a Twinkie. It has a white cake, with a vanilla cream and strawberry jam covered in chocolate. The Ganzito is one type of ice cream I got. The second type is Abuelita Mix chocolate which is a hot cocoa mix. This girl loves paletas... They're just so good. So good. This place has homemade paletas. They also have homemade tubs of ice cream. So good. My favorite from this place is their coffee ice cream. So creamy and so good. Have I mentioned that it is SO GOOD?! ^_~ The guy behind the counter was super nice as we asked for sample after sample trying to figure out what we wanted. This is one of my absolute favorite places in Chicago! We've only tried their paletas (ice cream popsicles) so far because they're so good we keep on getting them over and over again. They have so many different sweet and savory options like milkshakes, ice cream, and different street snacks. They even have a drive through! The inside is spacious and clean. I've been lucky in that I've only ever been at off peak times. So I haven't had any issues with waiting. On to the paletas! They have two different kinds - water based and cream based. Both are good but I definitely prefer the cream based flavor. The flavors we've tried are Strawberry and Kiwi (water based), Strawberries and Cream, and Oreo. They were all good but the standout was definitely the Oreo. This was jam packed with complete Oreo pieces. Every bit had oreo and rich cream. This was one of the best popsicles I've ever had and the best part is...it was $2! The hipster places around town would charge up to $4 for the same thing. This is such a good value especially if you have a large family or are treating a big group. Overall - definitely check this place out. It's a great value and has some of the best ice cream popsicles I've ever had. Definitely give the Oreo flavor a try. read more

Did my friends and I come here to get Paletas de Crema when it was 30F outside? Duh! For a $2 ice cream treat, this is the best. They had tons of cream based and water based options. I got the Oreo, which was packed with crumbled pieces throughout and one full-sized cookie at the bottom. Only reason I'm giving 3 stars is because of the way they make the corn on the cups. They clearly use canned corn, when they are supposed to be off of the cob. When I asked them if it was from the can they said no, when it's obvious that it is. (Based on living in Pilsen my whole life and knowing the difference in the taste) You'll get a better "elote en baso" from a street vendor or go to the Michoacana on Cermak and Leavitt, they make the real thing there right in front of you. Randomly drove past here and had to make a stop for a paleta. We clearly saw a long line inside, but wanted to go in to see the menu and all the options. For a busy Saturday afternoon, 3 employees were present but only 2 seemed to be taking and completing orders.
