Supposed to be tostiloco

I've come several times here for the past years and I would tell others how good their treats were. My favorite thing to order has been the Tostilocos. Towards the end of the summer a new lady took my order and did not add the candy's that typically come when ordering a tostiloco, she made a fuss that it's an extra charge so me and my family payed, took our food and left. I returned just returned this month, and the same girl took my order but this time didn't add any chamoy either. To give the benefit of the doubt, and thinking maybe I don't know what a tostiloco actually contains, I paid and left again. I got home and informed myself well enough before doing this review. According to different sources the ingredients are like the pictures they portray on their menu: tostito chips, Jicama, cucumber, mango, pork rinds, Japanese's style peanuts, TAMARIND candy, CHAMOY, hot sauce, lime juice and tajin. Why are customers charged $11 for a bag of chips, peanuts, cucumber, jicama, lime juice and only hot sauce?!?!?! DO BETTER!!!

Great place to stop by on a hot day to get a treat for yourself they have water-based ice cream and milk-based ice cream it's really good and tons New flavors and old and flavors you've never heard of before But I guess I'll just ask and I'll give you a sample and while there is some delicious stuff here I'll definitely be back and definitely tell friends about this place

Fresas Con Crema & Mangonada

Tony was super nice! Everything was extremely clean and the staff was very kind. Best place to get that sweet craving out of the way. There's a ton of different options of ice cream and other antojos Mexicanos to choose from but my favorite is always fresas con crema even though the mangonada comes in at a close second. Had to get both!

I wouldn't not recommend this place to anyone bad customer service, not hand washing. They don't even pay attention to who's in line.

Small two scoop mangonada!!

This last time I opted for the split scoop waffle cone. For the top I chose the Peanut Butter Brittle Caramel Fudge and the bottom, the Bananas Foster with Candied Pecans. It was delicious! Such intense flavors! The favorite of the two was definitely the Peanut Butter Brittle Caramel Fudge. If you're a peanut butter lover, this is the one for you! They also have some pretty awesome merch to purchase as well and the Tacolate collaboration with Taco Bell is a must the next time I go. They also had Tacolate sauce pack keychains to purchase too! Service was also great as the person was extremely patient as the family was sampling their wide array of options. The kids were loving every moment too! Will be heading back soon for another treat! Tacolate if it's still available!

The place is super small and no line, but the flavors were plentiful. I forget what they do, but you can get a combo of flavors in a single scoop. Then, an eternity ago, it closed and we were sad. Then Long Beach Creamery opened and we weren't that sad for that long, but still, I absolutely still thought about them every once in a while, sad that they'd left. Then, a much closer eternity ago (about a year ago - I've been super burned-out and not finishing my reviews), I was on my way from an event back to the blue line and walked by and noticed that they had, in fact, just moved. So obviously we had to get some. Verdict - yes, it absolutely was as good as I remembered. I wouldn't go back to DTLA just for ice cream, Long Beach Creamery being walking distance and wonderful, but I would absolutely stop here if I were back in DTLA and wanted ice cream. It's a bit pricey, but all craft ice cream is going to be, and it is definitely craft. And you can save a lot by getting a 3-scoop, which is very much enough to share for two people, if not slightly too much.

It was creamy, flavorful, and not overwhelmingly sugary, which I appreciated. The fish-shaped pastries with filling were honestly my favorite part though. I saw so many young people in cosplay, possibly characters for an anime I'm not familiar with. Look at the photos and see if you recognize it. A character might be called Silverwolf? Anyway, I was so happy to see Somisomi so busy. My friend and I stayed in line for 20 minutes before we were able to place our order, we had only 10 minutes to spare before our tickets at the Aratani Theatre. We wanted to have the milk and 8-bit boysenberry swirl soft serve in a cup. Unfortunately, we realized that we had to decide between possibly not being led into our reserved seat at the theater or missing out on this delicious dessert. It was just a matter of not realizing how long it would take. I don't blame Somisomi because they had a huge number of ahbong to make fresh, and of course, there was no way to cut in line We ended up telling the lovely staff that we had to leave, and to please give our orders under "Coco" to someone for free so it wouldn't be wasted. I'm sure it would've been tart and delicious!! The staff were working hard and very patient. They sometimes had to call names three times to get a response for adding toppings. If you go there and it's crowded, please be patient and also please be ready to go up to claim your order right away for the sake of the waiting hungry crowd ;)!
