Thank God we walked all the way to the end! After our El Yunque honeymoon adventure, we ended up here. This food was SO D**N GOOD!!! I cannot emphasize enough how full we were after devouring our entire plates. So much flavor, so much culture, sooo good!! The drinks were just ok but the food lol the food was everything. We still daydream about the red snapper and rice & beans. The view in the tiki bar area is the icing on the cake. Looking forward to our next visit!
Located at the Luquillo Kiosks. This was one of the nicer restaurants with ocean views. They do not take reservations, but we didn't have a wait on a Friday evening. We started off with cocktails - Mai tais and beers. For dinner, I got a beef empanada, rice beans, and the sweet plantains. It was a full meal! My husband got the fresh mahi mahi which came with salad, rice, and beans. The portions are pretty big! Our friends got the chicken stuffed with sweet plantains and the grouper. All good choices. Very chill vibe. Loved the ocean vibes.
SABROSO!!! After a day at the beach, this was a good place to chill and refill. Every single dish we tried hit hard and was so fulfilling. The sampler appetizers were a wonderful way to get ready and try new things. The sweet and savory pork with white rice I had was so tender and sweet and the rice so soft. The red snapper dishes I tasted were so soft and tender and did not taste fishy but taste flavorful. The vanilla and coconut flan was a dream come true - soft, a fantastic flavor on one's palate and wow! And the cortado coffee - don't leave without having it - it's unexplainable. We sat inside with some ac and the view was epic. Our waiter Victor was so kind and helped pick what was best on menu and funny - good dude. Everyone run here - you will refill for the rest of the day.
WOW!!! One of the BEST dinner on the island! Lobster is must have! And the ribeye was perfection!!!!!
Absolutely delicious! We both enjoyed our meals and the ceviche (not pictured). Great ambiance, delicious cocktails, friendly staff, and can't beat the ocean view.
Today was a special day at La Parrilla in La Isla Del Encanto. From the very beginning we were welcomed with with a smile and a sense of happiness. This place was right by the water where you can hear the waves crashing and the food smelling absolutely amazing. The menu was big and our server was super welcoming and helpful. I loved the seating area and how open this establishment was. It felt perfect with the weather and the sounds all around. I have to give a HUGE thank you to the staff who made this night unforgettable and one I will always cherish for the rest of my life. They helped me coordinate my proposal to my better half with smiles and excitement. They made our night special. I will forever be grateful to them and this wonderful place. Now let's get to the food. OMG! ... Our dishes were nothing short of perfectly delicious. I have not had steak in a long time and this was a reminder of how good steak is when is cooked and seasoned perfectly. If you're in Luquillo, you must give this place a try. I will certainly be back here when we make our trip back to Puerto Rico and you should too!
Listen.. this was the longest wait of my life when it comes to a restaurant. I'm talking "questioning my life choices" long. We ended up getting our food to go because we genuinely didn't know if a server would ever appear. Needless to say, service was rough.. long wait to even order drinks, even longer to get them, and everything felt oddly spaced out. The appetizer platter was actually delicious, but by the time it arrived we were practically in a new fiscal year. Maybe sitting inside puts you on the Island Time+ plan? You'd think they'd want to upsell alcoholic drinks, but I guess not. The food I tried later was... fine. Not bad. I asked for rice and beans - got white rice with a cold bean salad situation. Not what I expected. A little pricey, but it is in a very touristy area, so that part tracks. Overall? Too much waiting, not enough wow.
This Area where the restaurant is super cool with a bunch of kiosks to eat at and right off the beach so it has a great view. it's a really popular restaurant so there was a wait time my fried snapper was really tasty but the other fried things we got weren't my favorites. the service was decent but took a while to get our food. the ambience is cool but i wouldn't say this was the best of the best like i was informed
The service here was terrible. I understand there was a party of 16, but our server, Victor, barely seemed to be attending to them either. I asked for water three separate times. The third time, he even asked me what kind of water I wanted--and then never brought it. I ended up getting my appetizer, entrée, and even dessert without ever receiving a single glass of water. We heard to order everything at once because they tend to be slow and forget off the past reviews, but apparently I was supposed to ask for water at the same time too. For reference, I ordered the lobster, red snapper, the sampler plate, and the Cuatro Leche dessert. Unfortunately, the food was just mid--nothing memorable or worth coming back for. To top it off, while I was paying at the front, the table next to me was also leaving a complaint about their experience. It was clear I wasn't the only customer disappointed. Between the poor service and average food, I can't recommend this place.
I actually went here 5 years ago on another trip and so funny we ended up back here haha! I remember last time the food was absolutely BUSSIN and this round did NOT disappoint! We loved everything we ordered including the apps sampler, mofongo, and pineapple rice!
Oscar our server was awesome. He guided us through the menu. Food was good. Some dishes a little under seasoned- surprising but still good overall. Nice open air spot. Mix of tourists and locals.
Great food! I had pineapple rellano and the boys had different versions of shrimp. Oysters were great (pricey, I'll skip next time), service was great, cocktails were awesome, and we had such a lovely time. We'll definitely go back! The tiki bar was the perfect spot for a post sunset meal!
There is a valid reason why it revives so many stars. The staff is awesome. So is the view of the beach. However, by far the best food on my entire trip. From starter to generous and sweet lobster to Mofungo. Even their coffee, I mean espresso is excellent !
This place was a great recommendation and excellent first dinner while on vacation in "la isla del encanto" Puerto Rico!! This restaurant is only about 30 meters from the ocean and while you wait it can make for a nice romantic mix, the sound of the waves, a nice night, awesome food and great company. Our table next to us were super loud but then I remembered, we were in Puerto Rico :-) and I am sure they were using their inside voices as much as they could hahaha good times. For my drink I had the Parcha (passion fruit) frappe. It was really good and matter of fact had a refill mid meal. We started off with a sampler, everything was fried so it was delicious, it had fried cheese, cheese balls, sorullitos de maíz (fried corn sticks), palitos de yuca (fried cassava), some sweet bread, and some cordon blue like balls. Everything was good in the sampler. For a main dish I had the "pechuga rellena" or stuff chicken breast.... It was ridiculously good!! It is a chicken breast filled with sweet plantains, wrapped in back and bathe in hollandaise sauce. It came with a side of tostones or green plantains and a small salad. I licked the plate clean! Well, I didn't touch the salad but everything else went in my belly. My boy is my temple so I don't tarnish it with salad plus I had to leave room for dessert. For dessert, I was having a hard time deciding so the server strongly recommended the browny cheesecake so I went for it plus the 4 leches cake. Yes two desserts, remember I didn't eat my salad so I was compensating. The 4 leches postre was really good, maybe not the best I've had but it was really good. The browny cheesecake was meh but I still cleaned my plate. Staff was very nice, friendly and tented to our needs in a pleasant manner. Definitely would return and recommend to everyone. read more
Mannnnn. After a hike at el yunque. And a quick dip in the Juan diego waterfall we were starving! This place had great reviews so we gave it a shot. Everything was delicious and the entire staff was so warm and welcoming and friendly. Id definitely return. We had the Boricua sampler. Lobster ($30 a pound). Grilled chicken and breaded shrimp. All great! And cuatro leche! read more

Came here for a late lunch. Were seated at a great table outside with a view of the ocean. They had a fun cocktail menu that everyone enjoyed. I got the pineapple with shrimp and rice. Sooo amazingly good. My son had the seafood monfongo which he also enjoyed. But it was not as good as the pineapple, get the pineapple!!! Easy parking near the beach. read more

This place is right off the highway with the beach on the other side. It had a nice atmosphere - opening to the beach; staff and service were great. The shops along the strip were cute. The water view was stunning. The first evening we went, we only had time to get apps. The chicken wings, empanadas and drinks were delicious. We came back the next day for their lobster. To our great disappointment, the lobster was over grilled. It was not tender. The one pound tail with salad and rice was almost $70 so it wasn't cheap. Too expensive for overcooked food. Just go for apps and drinks and look at the view. read more

I love this place. Anytime you get fish this fresh and walk away full is the best. Literally, I believe they got the fish out the water that moment upon order and cooked it. It was that damn good! This place was a cool vibe, nice atmosphere by the water and god drinks. Me and my girls really enjoyed ourselves and ate at this place twice. read more

Yummy! Popped in here on the way to our Air BNB. Started my meal off with a delicious cup of coffee. My husband and I shared the appetizer sampler. It was so tasty! The dipping sauces were divine He got the snapper stuffed with shrimp and fries. Fries were good and ge enjoyed the fish. I ordered the pineapple shrimp and rice dish with sweet plantains! Yummm! Each meal had a small salad which accompanied the food nicely! Definitely recommend. read more

The food was . Service wasn't bad and the drinks are through the ROOF !!!! (. Good drinks lol ) and they cheap !!! The beach literally next to the restaurant. The locals can get pretty lit out there lol. read more

Great service. We had a large group and they were faster than Wendy's. Best alcapurrias we could find. Sit outside if you can for beautiful views. Inside is just a beach kind of place, but food is not. Pick your own lobster and be happy. read more

Ambiance is great near the ocean, loved the sound of waves in the background. Out of all the orders I loved the fish and sangria. Service was good, got hot sauce as requested but they could improve on the wait time for food after the order is placed. read more
Plenty of parking, beautiful view of the ocean from the restaurant, outdoor dining. We were seated right away. The lobster empanadas were good and full of meat. The stuffed jalapeños needed to be fried longer but overall delicious. The seafood stuffed lobster was the star of the show for sure! It was big and very filling. I recommend sharing with someone. read more

This was my first dining experience in PR and was a great first experience dining near the beach. This place is located in a mini strip mall type of place called Kiosk and has indoor and outdoor dining. We began with some refreshing and yummy cocktails with a nice little punch. We had multiple cocktails and are were good. Especially nice was an extra round because the server forgot an item. We ordered the combo platter that had all the traditional fried item. I think they were tasty but way too many fried items for my liking. My main entree was a very tasty Shrimp Mofongo. The shrimp were huge and cooked perfectly. The mongo was very tasteful and enjoyable and was pretty fulfilling portion. The overall ambience, staff friendly and energetic, tasty good food, and amazing cocktails make my first dining experience in PR a great experience. It's a must try. read more

Super disappointed with this place, I will NOT come back any more! At first, we wanted to eat lobster, and pictures on yelp attract me to visit this place. I have to say, this place is so damm expensive! They offered langosta fresca a la parrilla ($45) on that night, although the taste was good, the food did not wroth this price. I really don't recommend paella de mariscoc, I think this was the worst paella I had in Puerto Rico. (I known paella took a long time to prepare. While I waited for a table, I asked the front desk to order one for me so that I do not have to wait that long. I explained 3 times, and that person still rejected me and kept telling me the seat will be ready soon). One of my friends ordered pineapple rice, he thought that was also ok. Here is the worst part, the service was SO DAMM BAD! After we had a seat, our waiter came after 5 mins, told us he would be back soon, then he came back after 10 mins. We waited over 1 hour for food! When we checked with him, he said "the steak need to be cut and will be here in 5 mins". Man, I did not even order steak. Then we waited for another 10-15 mins to get our food. He did not refill water for us on time, and he did not come to ask us anything. When we wanted to check out, he never ever brought us the bill, we had to WALK to him and ASKED him to check out immediately. Since the service was way too bad, we wanted to pay fewer taxes, but then they charged us 15% tips in our bill. WOW, what a "good" restaurant. read more

Nice spot at the end of the kiosk shops. The best thing about this restaurant were their passion fruit mojitos they are unreal. I ordered the grouper which came with a side and i chose mofongo. The grouper was amazing but the mofongo was just okay. My friend got the mofongo with steak and it was not good. The service was slow as hell. Honestly, i didn't find too many good places to eat in Luquillo, but this place is a solid, if not slightly pricey option. read more
This place is definitely busy and the place to eat when it comes to the Luquillo Kiosk. Offering both inside and outside seating with beautiful almost sitting on the ocean. Service was friendly; however, VERY SLOW when it came to the food, the drinks however are fast. Drinks like the mojito and the margarita were not as good. The food was in fact amazing! Large portions and you are definitely getting some yummy Puerto Rican food and the seafood depending on what you get is definitely fresh. read more
This is one of the best spots in Rio Grande! It's in the first kiosk along the highway. The tables are in the back overlooking the beach. Everyone was friendly and the service was great. We started with a couple beers. We had queen snapper for the special. It was pricey at around $25/pound and we split it. It had to be one the fish meals I have ever had. It had a slightly sweet, slightly spicy rub and was grilled whole. Perfectly cooked, melt-in-your-mouth. It comes with a side and we chose the grilled sweet plantains. Love those! It also came with a small side salad. We went back the next day and did the same again. Worth the price. You can't get fish like this in the midwest. read more

This place is so good that we went there two nights in a row. The place gets busy in the evening but the service is great and not once did we feel rushed. The main attraction here are the lobsters, which come in different combinations of full lobster vs tail and stuffed vs not. I got the seafood stuffed one which was excellent. It's very creamy, though, so beware if you don't tolerate dairy well. The first night, I got a whole red snapper, which tasted phenomenal especially with the hot sauce they offer. The appetizers are excellent. This place doesn't skimp or charge an arm and a leg when it comes to the lobster/seafood options. Our favorite was a mini quiche like appetizer with a plantain shell and a lobster, crab, or chicken filling. I would highly recommend the lobster and crab options. Overall, a really great restaurant, and I'll definitely be returning if I'm back in Luquillo. read more

We were so happy that we decided to grab dinner at La Parrilla during our short trip to Luquillo. We visited at 6PM on a Sunday and there was a ~30-60 minute wait. I don't believe they take reservations - you just put your name in when you arrive. We loved that the restaurant faces the beach - they have an upstairs that we were hoping to be seated at, but the wait was even longer. Our service was quick and all of the food was excellent. The servings here are massive - my husband and I could have easily split one, but we were happy that we tried two entrees. The seafood paella was some of the best I've ever had and the grouper filet was phenomenal. Both dishes were served with a side salad, dressed with beans and tomatoes as well as a choice of a side. I chose the tostones and my husband ordered the "coconut dumplings." The dumplings had a slight sweetness and reminded us of a savory donut - definitely worth a try! We also really loved the yuca appetizer (you can order a half size which I'd suggest if you also plan to get an entrée). La Parrilla is known for the lobster but the other dishes are just as wonderful. We would love to visit again! read more

Great food. Good service and no frills atmosphere. Portions are a decent size perfect for sharing There's parking on the side of the restaurant but this place is busy. The mojitos were strong. But strong good. I will be back for the whole fish dish. A note: the sampler is good but there is a lot of fried food. read more

This spot was everything!! From the drinks, appetizers, entrees, service and ambience....Superb! The Fish Nuggets and lobster "baby empanadas" were delicious!! I chose to sit outside and the view was the ocean. It was so serene and peaceful. I have no complaints of this restaurant AT ALL! Please note, if you sit outside you will have birds surrounding you and obviously other bugs like flies. So if that bothers you, chose the indoor setting. read more
