Thank God we walked all the way to the end! After our El Yunque honeymoon adventure, we ended up here. This food was SO D**N GOOD!!! I cannot emphasize enough how full we were after devouring our entire plates. So much flavor, so much culture, sooo good!! The drinks were just ok but the food lol the food was everything. We still daydream about the red snapper and rice & beans. The view in the tiki bar area is the icing on the cake. Looking forward to our next visit!
SABROSO!!! After a day at the beach, this was a good place to chill and refill. Every single dish we tried hit hard and was so fulfilling. The sampler appetizers were a wonderful way to get ready and try new things. The sweet and savory pork with white rice I had was so tender and sweet and the rice so soft. The red snapper dishes I tasted were so soft and tender and did not taste fishy but taste flavorful. The vanilla and coconut flan was a dream come true - soft, a fantastic flavor on one's palate and wow! And the cortado coffee - don't leave without having it - it's unexplainable. We sat inside with some ac and the view was epic. Our waiter Victor was so kind and helped pick what was best on menu and funny - good dude. Everyone run here - you will refill for the rest of the day.

Today was a special day at La Parrilla in La Isla Del Encanto. From the very beginning we were welcomed with with a smile and a sense of happiness. This place was right by the water where you can hear the waves crashing and the food smelling absolutely amazing. The menu was big and our server was super welcoming and helpful. I loved the seating area and how open this establishment was. It felt perfect with the weather and the sounds all around. I have to give a HUGE thank you to the staff who made this night unforgettable and one I will always cherish for the rest of my life. They helped me coordinate my proposal to my better half with smiles and excitement. They made our night special. I will forever be grateful to them and this wonderful place. Now let's get to the food. OMG! ... Our dishes were nothing short of perfectly delicious. I have not had steak in a long time and this was a reminder of how good steak is when is cooked and seasoned perfectly. If you're in Luquillo, you must give this place a try. I will certainly be back here when we make our trip back to Puerto Rico and you should too!
The service here was terrible. I understand there was a party of 16, but our server, Victor, barely seemed to be attending to them either. I asked for water three separate times. The third time, he even asked me what kind of water I wanted--and then never brought it. I ended up getting my appetizer, entrée, and even dessert without ever receiving a single glass of water. We heard to order everything at once because they tend to be slow and forget off the past reviews, but apparently I was supposed to ask for water at the same time too. For reference, I ordered the lobster, red snapper, the sampler plate, and the Cuatro Leche dessert. Unfortunately, the food was just mid--nothing memorable or worth coming back for. To top it off, while I was paying at the front, the table next to me was also leaving a complaint about their experience. It was clear I wasn't the only customer disappointed. Between the poor service and average food, I can't recommend this place.
This Area where the restaurant is super cool with a bunch of kiosks to eat at and right off the beach so it has a great view. it's a really popular restaurant so there was a wait time my fried snapper was really tasty but the other fried things we got weren't my favorites. the service was decent but took a while to get our food. the ambience is cool but i wouldn't say this was the best of the best like i was informed
Absolutely delicious! We both enjoyed our meals and the ceviche (not pictured). Great ambiance, delicious cocktails, friendly staff, and can't beat the ocean view.
I actually went here 5 years ago on another trip and so funny we ended up back here haha! I remember last time the food was absolutely BUSSIN and this round did NOT disappoint! We loved everything we ordered including the apps sampler, mofongo, and pineapple rice!
Listen.. this was the longest wait of my life when it comes to a restaurant. I'm talking "questioning my life choices" long. We ended up getting our food to go because we genuinely didn't know if a server would ever appear. Needless to say, service was rough.. long wait to even order drinks, even longer to get them, and everything felt oddly spaced out. The appetizer platter was actually delicious, but by the time it arrived we were practically in a new fiscal year. Maybe sitting inside puts you on the Island Time+ plan? You'd think they'd want to upsell alcoholic drinks, but I guess not. The food I tried later was... fine. Not bad. I asked for rice and beans - got white rice with a cold bean salad situation. Not what I expected. A little pricey, but it is in a very touristy area, so that part tracks. Overall? Too much waiting, not enough wow.
Great food! I had pineapple rellano and the boys had different versions of shrimp. Oysters were great (pricey, I'll skip next time), service was great, cocktails were awesome, and we had such a lovely time. We'll definitely go back! The tiki bar was the perfect spot for a post sunset meal!
Oscar our server was awesome. He guided us through the menu. Food was good. Some dishes a little under seasoned- surprising but still good overall. Nice open air spot. Mix of tourists and locals.
There is a valid reason why it revives so many stars. The staff is awesome. So is the view of the beach. However, by far the best food on my entire trip. From starter to generous and sweet lobster to Mofungo. Even their coffee, I mean espresso is excellent !
We had an unforgettable night at La Parrilla! The service was amazing! Located at the end of the Luquillo Kiosk strip, La Parrilla is serving up some delicious fresh food. The fried cheese was paired with a sweet jam giving a nice balance. The fried snapper was cooked perfectly making it very easy to separate the bones. Super chill vibes right off the beach make this an easy choice for dinner.

Really amazing place for lobster if you are in Rio Grande area of Puerto Rico and looking for live lobster to pick up with your own hands, weigh them and have them make it the way you like this is the place for you to come. We literally picked the lobster which was 4 pounds. They cut the lobster in front of us. They took the meat out and also added some seafood on top of it with fondue and grilled it baked it in front of us. It was amazing experience lobster was so fulfilling. It's nothing like having a fresh lobster out of the water right then and there we would come back to Puerto Rico just to experience this once again it's nothing like having fresh lobster. They have a great parking inside, so don't worry about that but the service is not very fast because this place is super busy and people are always running around but they do their best to make sure that you get what you want. The ambience inside is also OK I think you're going here to have like a good food. It's not the greatest place for you to find ambience but it's not bad. read more

On Monday we had dinner atLa Parrilla. I had the Paella, hubby had lobster, sissy had the dish and my brother in law had chicken. We also had plantains cups with shredded chicken cooked in sofrito. All the food were yummy, the ambience great. I give it a 10/10. read more

Always great to be back home in Puerto Rico. I'm Luquillo on the beach there are 60 kiosks to choose to dine at. La Parrilla is the higher scale restaurant to choose from. They know how to do seafood! As you can see the prices are on the higher end. But sometimes you have to treat yourself and enjoy all that is fresh. The bonus is that you're right on Luquillo beach. You can't beat that! read more

Expansive menu. So to be clear just had the tostones rellenos lobster appetizer only. Doing an app tour. Not my fave. Lobster mixed with onions & other spices. Sauces were hot chilli or fry sauce- not culinary choices. My boyfriend liked it but thought fry sauce was weird choice. Tons of servers asking how to help or what to get ya so good! read more

Visited La Padilla because of the good review . We were quickly seated by the hostess. I prefer the outdoor area but it's full so we end up inside. Waiter was a bit in a hurry taking our orders, I guess to cover more customers. We like lobster so he took us to the aquarium area. Ordered appetizers sampler and Langusta A La Patil with seafood and garlic. It was good and savory. Please look good and located right at Luquillo Beach. Overall 4 stars for the food and 3 stars for service. read more

Wasn't sure whether to rate this place as a bar or upscale restaurant. In either case, it failed it to deliver. Service was much too slow to be considered satisfactory for a bar, and the experience was too sloppy to tick the upscale box. Regardless of the occasion, be prepared to wait around for a while. 60+ minute wait for a table, 15 minutes until the server greeted our table, and 60+ minutes for the food to come out. Not to mention that we only received 3/4 ordered dishes, and nobody cared to check in on us during the time leading up to and after receiving our meal. Overall, 1 star. 2nd star comes from the food, which deserves some recognition for quality and quantity. Overall, would not go back. read more
I loved this location in the kioskos. It was perfect to have dinner and hear the waves of the ocean. We had the tostones stuffed with lobster and omggggg I wish I could have brought some home. They were perfect. Additionally, we had the Mofongo with shrimp in white sauce. We had three Mofongos on this trip and this one was our favorite. The service was friendly and were more than happy to answer questions. read more

I bring my friends and family here all the time whenever we visit the kiosk at Luquillo. The service is really nice they speak both Spanish and English so it's great for both residents and tourist. It's one of the few sit down restaurants in the area that seems a bit more formal; They have really great mojitos, and mofongo is on point!! The only reason I give it 4/5 is because some of the items on the menu like the chillo frito I find very very expensive and not equivalent to the remaining prices on the menu. The mofongo con Cameron for example is around 25$ where the chillo is around 45/48$ I've seen the portion I think they have biiggggg fish to fry literally, but there should be a little more of a variety especially for one person wanting to get just one meal, but if you're sharing I think it's a great price! Anyway! It's right on the beach and if you go around sunset you'll find a beautiful sunset view from any seat. Will definitely be back! Personally, I think this is one of the best ones in all of the kiosk in Luquillo Beach. It's the last one from the entrance first one from the exit so plenty of parking amazing delicious seafood, Mofongo, fish either whole with bones or in fillet. The cheesy kind of sauce is not too cheesy. It's like a mix of cheese and tomato. I would say so you would definitely enjoy any one of the Mofongo blends. Plenty of parking and this is not a dive bar. This is a definite sitdown restaurant so do not plan to come in your bathing suit top so exposed because you won't be served service is pretty quick there is staff is plentiful. Ambience is busy a lot of people so expect noise there is inside and outside seating. There is air conditioning inside and then you have plenty of outside seating as well. Good for large groups and small groups. Good for families or when you're just Out on a pleasure trip or if you spend the day at the beach, but remember where your clothes read more
Busy restaurant with own parking. Outside dinning and limited indoor space. Loud environment since it's next to kiosks and freeway. Service wasn't the best and our server was kinda rushed and didn't check once how we were doing. Appetizer was chicken with drenched over powering bbq sauce. Lobster was good but not prepared well for my liking. Steak was good kinda chewy. The only good dish was paella which was perfect with every bite. read more

Second trip to PR from Ohio. Second visit to La Parrilla and not disappointed. Went in the evening first time. Came back for lunch the second time so I could see the ocean from the patio seating and explore the beach after. Spending the afternoon at the kiosks? Pack beach stuff! Eat here and grab a pineapple or coconut drink to take to the water. read more

The service was great but the food WOW! We ordered the lobster mofongo cups and the lobster empanada - DELICIOUS. For dinner, my husband had the shrimp mofongo made out of sweet plantains, 10/10 and I had the stuffed lobster with arroz con gandules, equally amazing. Ambiance was so chill and nice! read more

This was my second time at this restaurant. Honestly I went back just for the live lobster catch. However the food is alright. We asked for the ac to be turned down about 3 times before they finally did it. The food also took some time to come. read more
Best mofongo I ever had it was so delightful!!!! And they had mudslides which make me very happy!!! Our server was great gave amazing service. Started with ceviche which was good and a few apatizers I don't really remember but the seafood monfongo was definitely the best thing !!!! read more

My wife and I made this our first stop on our honeymoon. We enjoyed a table with beach view. I had the NY teriyaki pasta. OMG it was amazing!!!! My wife loved it more than her choice. It is a must have for anyone visiting from the contiguous 48!!! read more

The view was amazing but the food was the star. Pollo and Lobster Pastelilos were delicious as an appetizer. We had a mojito and a beer...delicious. We the. had the shrimp. Mofongo was a delicious taste of Puerto Rico. Hubby had the fried shrimp with a delicious sauce. Great night. read more
This place has a fun vibe with indoor and outside seating. On the back side you can hear the waves crashing on the shores while you eat. The tanks of fresh seafood will differently draw you in but it's worth it. The food was delicious and the service was awesome. It does stay pretty busy though which makes it loud inside. It's a must stop place but just know they do not split checks- well at least we couldn't split our check. read more
Cheese on seafood was my first experience. There's live seafood lobster in the tank to pick from. Right by the beach and the breeze was very welcoming. The servers was so nice and the people watching view was cute. The amarillo mofongo was too soft to my liking and the green plantain mofongo was too hard. I'm picky i guess! Came here after the rainforest cause it was close by and a was drive. found this place on yelp and it had great ratings and the food looks phenomenal especially the seafood there was 10 of us in our party so it took a little bit for them to seat all of us. they finally sat us down deep in the back, and our server was named Edgar. We got a round of drinks first then food, most of us got appetizers to share with one another. there was fun music in the background playing so it was nice atmosphere. The place was packing up pretty good and it was right across from the beach. The table had order chicken wings which were a little soggy for us, Tostones Rellenos Jueyes (crab) this was delicious and a mist try , Tostones Rellenos langosta (lobster) was ok, beef, empanadas were delicious , and lobster empanadas were so tasty, jalapeño poppers, lobster croquette are a must try , lobster bisque was highly recommend to us was we all shared and agree it was super tasty, we also had dozen raw oysters which were really fresh, Mofongo relleno de steak en salsa De zetas, Tostones smashed unripen hard very green plantains was a little blant tbh. We also tried the passionfruit piña colada which is a touch tart, and mango piña colada also tart. The forgot our waters a few times we had to ask a few times for it. our server was amazing overall and kept coming back to check on us. Definitely a place we should come back and check out again. I can't believe I devoured my entire meal. It was awesome. The grouper with cilantro cream sauce. Wow! Tender, perfectly cooked, scattered with sweet onions and peppers. Small side salad and plantains. I would get it again in a heartbeat. The service is friendly and attentive. We sat outside. Nothing fancy but it's a nice place. I've eaten here before and would recommend it! read more
