Thank God we walked all the way to the end! After our El Yunque honeymoon adventure, we ended up here. This food was SO D**N GOOD!!! I cannot emphasize enough how full we were after devouring our entire plates. So much flavor, so much culture, sooo good!! The drinks were just ok but the food lol the food was everything. We still daydream about the red snapper and rice & beans. The view in the tiki bar area is the icing on the cake. Looking forward to our next visit!
SABROSO!!! After a day at the beach, this was a good place to chill and refill. Every single dish we tried hit hard and was so fulfilling. The sampler appetizers were a wonderful way to get ready and try new things. The sweet and savory pork with white rice I had was so tender and sweet and the rice so soft. The red snapper dishes I tasted were so soft and tender and did not taste fishy but taste flavorful. The vanilla and coconut flan was a dream come true - soft, a fantastic flavor on one's palate and wow! And the cortado coffee - don't leave without having it - it's unexplainable. We sat inside with some ac and the view was epic. Our waiter Victor was so kind and helped pick what was best on menu and funny - good dude. Everyone run here - you will refill for the rest of the day.

Today was a special day at La Parrilla in La Isla Del Encanto. From the very beginning we were welcomed with with a smile and a sense of happiness. This place was right by the water where you can hear the waves crashing and the food smelling absolutely amazing. The menu was big and our server was super welcoming and helpful. I loved the seating area and how open this establishment was. It felt perfect with the weather and the sounds all around. I have to give a HUGE thank you to the staff who made this night unforgettable and one I will always cherish for the rest of my life. They helped me coordinate my proposal to my better half with smiles and excitement. They made our night special. I will forever be grateful to them and this wonderful place. Now let's get to the food. OMG! ... Our dishes were nothing short of perfectly delicious. I have not had steak in a long time and this was a reminder of how good steak is when is cooked and seasoned perfectly. If you're in Luquillo, you must give this place a try. I will certainly be back here when we make our trip back to Puerto Rico and you should too!
The service here was terrible. I understand there was a party of 16, but our server, Victor, barely seemed to be attending to them either. I asked for water three separate times. The third time, he even asked me what kind of water I wanted--and then never brought it. I ended up getting my appetizer, entrée, and even dessert without ever receiving a single glass of water. We heard to order everything at once because they tend to be slow and forget off the past reviews, but apparently I was supposed to ask for water at the same time too. For reference, I ordered the lobster, red snapper, the sampler plate, and the Cuatro Leche dessert. Unfortunately, the food was just mid--nothing memorable or worth coming back for. To top it off, while I was paying at the front, the table next to me was also leaving a complaint about their experience. It was clear I wasn't the only customer disappointed. Between the poor service and average food, I can't recommend this place.
This Area where the restaurant is super cool with a bunch of kiosks to eat at and right off the beach so it has a great view. it's a really popular restaurant so there was a wait time my fried snapper was really tasty but the other fried things we got weren't my favorites. the service was decent but took a while to get our food. the ambience is cool but i wouldn't say this was the best of the best like i was informed
Absolutely delicious! We both enjoyed our meals and the ceviche (not pictured). Great ambiance, delicious cocktails, friendly staff, and can't beat the ocean view.
I actually went here 5 years ago on another trip and so funny we ended up back here haha! I remember last time the food was absolutely BUSSIN and this round did NOT disappoint! We loved everything we ordered including the apps sampler, mofongo, and pineapple rice!
Listen.. this was the longest wait of my life when it comes to a restaurant. I'm talking "questioning my life choices" long. We ended up getting our food to go because we genuinely didn't know if a server would ever appear. Needless to say, service was rough.. long wait to even order drinks, even longer to get them, and everything felt oddly spaced out. The appetizer platter was actually delicious, but by the time it arrived we were practically in a new fiscal year. Maybe sitting inside puts you on the Island Time+ plan? You'd think they'd want to upsell alcoholic drinks, but I guess not. The food I tried later was... fine. Not bad. I asked for rice and beans - got white rice with a cold bean salad situation. Not what I expected. A little pricey, but it is in a very touristy area, so that part tracks. Overall? Too much waiting, not enough wow.
Great food! I had pineapple rellano and the boys had different versions of shrimp. Oysters were great (pricey, I'll skip next time), service was great, cocktails were awesome, and we had such a lovely time. We'll definitely go back! The tiki bar was the perfect spot for a post sunset meal!
Oscar our server was awesome. He guided us through the menu. Food was good. Some dishes a little under seasoned- surprising but still good overall. Nice open air spot. Mix of tourists and locals.
There is a valid reason why it revives so many stars. The staff is awesome. So is the view of the beach. However, by far the best food on my entire trip. From starter to generous and sweet lobster to Mofungo. Even their coffee, I mean espresso is excellent !
We had an unforgettable night at La Parrilla! The service was amazing! Located at the end of the Luquillo Kiosk strip, La Parrilla is serving up some delicious fresh food. The fried cheese was paired with a sweet jam giving a nice balance. The fried snapper was cooked perfectly making it very easy to separate the bones. Super chill vibes right off the beach make this an easy choice for dinner.
This place has both indoor and outdoor seating and you might want to get there a little early. They tend to get busy around 7 o'clock. They are a pretty casual spot located in a kiosk strip mall. They have a large selection of food and drinks and serving sizes are pretty big. We enjoyed our dinner and drinks . I would definitely recommend this place if you are visiting. The fish and shrimp dishes were yummy ! The chicharrones was a tad over cooked but tasty . The fish ceviche was flavorful. The tostones with lobster was okay wasn't my favorite amongst our dishes but decent. Service was good our waiter was attentive. read more
WE TRIED THE LOBSTER empanada OMG sooooo delicious. The Chillo Frito was fried to perfection. We also had the Langosta rellena con mariscos! Our server was super attentive! And helpful pointing out popular menu items. The location has total access to the ocean. Great music, great place to chill and enjoy great food! read more

Restaurant is right off of the beach. You can see the beach from the outside seating area. Food was good. Parking lot is available, but there is also parking on beach side and road side. The food was delicious. The crowd was cool and we faced the ocean on their patio. We called the day before and they told us they'd be down to one chef on NYE and would close early. We planned for an early dinner and were met with friendly wait staff. The food was brought out on island time, but we didn't mind. The server, Oscar was super sweet -even got comped shots of PR eggnog, which were amazing! read more
This is the first place I ever tried mofongo, and I discovered I don't like it. I loved the fresh crab they stuck in it, but I thought the edible bowl that is mofongo tasted like, I don't know... stale baby food? Anyway, now I know not to order that ever again. read more

Great seafood spot! This restaurant has so many options to choose from, including great appetizers that are great to share. The ceviche is also very tasty and delicious. We ordered one of their lobster entrees that was so creamy and filling. I would come back again. The service was great as well, very friendly staff and they were fast. We sat outside and it was very nice. read more
Location is great, next to beach. There's a parking lot. There's outside and inside dining. Service is great. Ceviche we did not like. The appetizer platter was a good to share. Croquetas were really good. Had stuff lobster. Big portion and delicious. Definitely recommend trying it. read more

This restaurant has their own parking and is huge! They have different accommodations - an outdoor section where there's a popping bar, an air conditioned room, indoor seating, and an upstairs that I think gives you the best view. The drinks are not as strong or aesthetically pleasing BUT the food is amazing. We ordered grilled lobster with some seafood in garlic sauce with Puerto Rican rice and then a fried red snapper. It was so delicious! Our server was friendly and quick. When he wasn't around, we would tell the other guy and he would quickly show up despite us being in the upstairs area. He was prolly assigned there unlike some restaurants where they make their serves go up and down. Pricing was pretty decent since we typically pay more in California. I we would totally come back here again. This spot is highly recommended! read more

If you're staying at one of the hotels in Rio grande, it is definitely worth it to drive or Uber over to this area to eat. The food is amazing. Definitely better than anything. You'll get at a hotel and the prices are reasonable. Literally have no complaints about anything we ate at this place, the drinks were on the sweeter side and not as strong, but you can definitely ask for another shot and they will provide that. Also, the serving staff speak both English and Spanish so communication was easy. This place offers both outdoor and indoor seating and it's overlooking the beach. read more

I come to La Parrilla often and it never disappoints! We had a stuffed lobster with mixed seafood, rice and beans and tostones. It was delicious. Service was fast and our waiter Gabriel and the rest of the staff were great. 20 out of 10! Highly recommend! read more

Excellent dinner. Started with 'Pastelillos' stuffed with meat and lobster. Both great with the house spiced sauce. Main dish - pork medallions stuffed with ground beef and wrapped in bacon with a special sauce. The rice was very good - 'Arroz manspostiao' Not to forget... really cold Medalla light beer! The view... Luquillo beach with a beautiful sunset. Good service. Always prefer to sit outside. Love this place. read more

This place is amazing. The food is cooked to perfection. You're right off the coast so you can see and hear the ocean as you have a good time with your friends. I ordered so much food I was stuffed. I highly recommend the Mofongo, pastelillos, and Yuka for sure. Also the sprite & ginger ale is served with a lime as well which is pretty cool. The staff is super nice and they even sung a song for girlfriend's birthday! read more

Food was absolutely delicious!!! I would highly recommend this spot! Our waiter Lionel was excellent. I ordered the ribeye rare and it was the BEST steak I've ever had! Do yourself a favor... your on vacation?... treat yourself.... Thank me later. read more
2/3/2023- Came here right after we landed. It's located on Luquillo Beach. The views are spectacular. Service was fantastic. I ordered "surullos" (fried corn meal) which are my favorite. I don't think these are made from scratch. Most restaurants in the island sell the same kind. They came with the typical mayo ketchup dip and a spicy sauce. We ordered lobster empanadas and canastas de carrucho. I ordered the Mofongo with Shrimp Criollo. When it came out I thought it was going to be with a butter sauce with garlic but it came out with a sauce that looked like an alfredo sauce. I would come here for a beer and appetizers but not for an entree dish. They are just ok. Facilities and restaurant are clean. The staff was very friendly. read more

Location is great - at the end of the Luquillo food kiosks, overlooking the beach and with fenced-in dedicated parking. The service is great too - Luis was pleasant, attentive, and answered all my food questions about Puerto Rican specialties. There were also servers more than ready to refill water, clear plates, bring another drink. Menu seems to be a bit on the pricier side until you see the portions. We ordered only appetizers, but a large variety because we were bordering on hangry, and ended up with way more than we could eat - grouper ceviche (on special) which was served with a bunch of tostones (patacones), plus empanadillas - one with chicken and one with beef, a pupusa regular (with cheese), an alcapurria de carne, and a full order of chicken wings. So happy to experience local food in an iconic place without breaking the bank. read more

This is right along the beach so you have somewhat of a view of the beach. The service was okay. We had a couple different people waiting on our table so we weren't really sure who our actual waiter was. There was a couple beside us who suggested we try the seafood stuffed lobster so we did and it was pretty good. We had shark bites for the appetizer which were delicious and jalapeno poppers. The food is delicious!! We ordered the fried cheese and beef empanadas for our appetizer. Wow! It was bomb.com! My hubby loved his surf and turf meal and my kids loved the steak and pasta meal! The best food we've had since being in Puerto Rico! I am taking a star off because the waiter gave us tostones instead of breadfruit and forgot about my arepa. I would just double the order, other than that, the food was delicious. read more

Must try spot if you are a seafood lover! The grouper filet was cooked perfectly, super flakey and tender. Service was also excellent despite the lunch rush hour. Overall great experience and would recommend. read more
The food is soooo good here!! The server we had was hilarious! Good drinks and good food with a beautiful view of the ocean! Been here long before it expanded into a much larger operation, but the quality of the food has not changed! Their mofongo is one of the best...so moist and flavorful! They do their tostones perfectly also. I had the octopus salad and the octopus was so tender. Our table also had the paella and the pineapple rice dish which was absolutely delicious! I will be returning to PR next year and even if I'm not staying in Luquillo, I will make the drive to eat here! read more
Stopped at this restaurant on the beach for lunch. It has great parking close to the restaurant, and a tasty lunch menu. We had the ceviche and sweet wings. Both items hit the spot. The wait staff was thorough and attentive and the music was enjoyable. We had a great time. read more

Solid fried red snapper dish. also really liked the plantain cups with the lobster. pics below. restrooms are clean and the outdoor seating and decor are pretty top notch. service was fast and friendly as well. happy to visit here on a trip to luquillo beach. highly recommend coming here if you are in the area! read more

The restaurant is on the end of the kiosks and has its own parking lot for guests. The restaurant is large with a dining area inside and outside. We ordered the red snapper (whole fish fried), and it was amazing. Our waiter even took us up front to pick out our fish. We ordered two sides 1 was rice and beans and then an order of rice and sweet plantains, no complaints there. We also got the fried cheese, which was delicious - the only thing that would make it better is if they used a Thai sweet chili sauce. 10/10 would definitely go back. truly amazing place to stop at if you are coming from el yunque rainforest, or just in the area, i LOVED their paella with the seafood inside, their fried plantains and veggies were top notch, my family and i all came out with full, satisfied stomachs and pleased taste buds, the service was great as well and all of our food came in a timely manner, all of the employees treated us so well :)) the ambiance was superb, the tables, bathrooms, and bar all seemed very clean and well kept, i HIGHLY recommend going here if you want the best puerto rican food!!!! :) read more
