Eggs Benedict and 3 Egg Omelet
    Haley S.

Came here with a reservation, and the service was great, but the food was very average. We started out with $18 mimosas, followed by the Eggs Benedict with spinach, and the 3 Egg Omelet. The food was good but nothing special, and the 'breakfast potatoes,' were skim. Maybe it was because it was NYE or just a New York thing, but we had an automatic gratuity charge of 20% for a party of 2? I know that's a thing for big parties, but people are just getting greedy these days. This breakfast was $107 dollars, including the gratuity and the fact that $36 of that was in just 2 mimosas. Mediocre food for that price just isn't worth it.

Amazing food, wonderful service and elegant ambiance. What do you wanna ask? The restaurant is located at 7th floor of Hilton hotel. You can see the St Patrick Cathedral from the terrace. It is like an oasis in the busy city.

We chose Duomo 51 on a whim--and it turned out to be one of our most memorable dining experiences in the city. Tucked away inside the Doubletree by Hilton on the 7th floor, it was a little tricky to find, but so worth the effort. We had reservations and were seated on their gorgeous terrace, which was beautifully decorated and offered a stunning view of the city skyline. It felt like a peaceful escape above the hustle of Manhattan. The food was incredible--we ordered the nightly special with asparagus, shrimp, and tomatoes, along with bolognese, Caesar salad, and the soup du jour (a rich, comforting tomato soup). Every bite was fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. Our waiter was a standout--helpful, patient, and genuinely kind, which only added to the warm atmosphere. If you're looking for elevated Italian cuisine in a romantic, rooftop setting, Duomo 51 is absolutely worth the find.

This is one of those restaurants that won't seat you until your entire party has arrived. Which is odd because not only is transportation in nyc unpredictable, this is also located in a hotel with just two elevators. We arrived on time, while the rest of our party was only five minutes late, and they told us to stand by the elevators in the hall... I absolutely hated that. It ruined our whole experience. What if something came up & they couldn't make it at all? Service was fine. Pasta was sub-par. You get a great view of radio city, but that was the best part. Definitely would not go back here.

My experience here was pretty mid in all honesty. I came for a friends birthday. I orders the pomodoro and a non alcoholic drink. The Pomodoro was good but nothing to write home about. The pasta was cooked well and the sauce was good but again, nothing to write home about. I also had a bite of the carbonara which was pretty flavorful and very good. I feel like the menu was pretty basic. It's your standard pastas, seafood, American Italian dishes. They did have a truffle section though. But I wish they had put a bit more into their dishes to make them unique. The service was fine. The dishes were all brought out around the same time. The servers were knowledgeable on the menu but were not overly friendly. I feel like they were adequately attentive but for the high end nature of this restaurant, I would've expected more. The decor is nice and the aesthetic is giving high end and the servers are all dressed up in suits. The ambience was clean and there was light elevator music playing. For the price of the dishes, I would have expected a bit more...

Sorry but NO! I made reservation month in advance. I made sure to make a comment that its my bday and if they could seat us near the window. They did not and on top of that we got the most ride waiter ever named Marsel. He literally was ignoring me (female) and he was just talking to my friend (male) and only asking him what he likes to order, or if the food was ok. Even my friend said "wow he really is ignoring you". Disgusting service! The food was ok, i liked the salad but i did not like the pasta. Atmosphere was ok tho extremely loud, the music was loud so all people were screaming over. I did not enjoy my time at this restaurant all, the main thing was the waiter being rude to me on my birthday. The only good thing about this restaurant is the location. I would not recommend this place!

Love this upscale Italian restaurant. This place is inside the DoubleTree Hotel. I had an early dinner reservation so it was not busy. Staff were friendly and attentive. Lovely ambiance and amazing views. Service, cocktails, and food were all on point. I really enjoyed the burrata and carbonara. Pricey, but great for special occasions. Highly recommend this place!

Located in a very convenient area. Right near radio city and near the tree. Ambiance is very nice. Made a reservation the day before and I do not regret you. You are escorted to your seat quickly. Wait staff is attentive and kind. The food is ready quickly. The bread and dip is really good. Anything can be made on the side or separate. The tiramisu is really great. The inside is beautiful. You can also see outside around the area which is also nice. I will be returning again soon.

Absolutely delicious and lovely wine selection. Service was top notch! Great vegetarian options, which I love.

It's located inside a hotel on the 7th floor, the views are spectacular. We arrived at almost 5pm and made a reservation ahead of time since it was 9 of us. We were quickly seated as soon as we arrived. Service was great, they had a few people helping us. They checked on us frequently. They take the orders for appetizers and main course at the same time. We had the eggplant, the calamari (it isn't fried so the texture is a bit different), and the burrata. My favorite was the burrata it's so good but cheese is always a good option in my opinion. For my main course I had the lobster ravioli which wasn't on the menu but I guess one of their specials for that day. It wasn't ok, the lobster that was placed around my ravioli was hard so probably overcooked. Some others in the group ordered steaks including the Ribeye and Tomahawk. The ribeye in my opinion looked better because the Tomahawk looked like it was mainly a huge bone and a lot of fat on some of the meat. It did taste good though (at least the piece I tried). They also have a truffle menu if that's your thing, request that menu from them. They seem to have lunch specials during the week days until a certain time, they have a fix menu for a 3 course meal for about $40. Overall it was a nice time. I wasn't blown away by the food but if you're in the area then maybe you can huge it a try.

Duomo51! Baby! Love! I love a little work lunch date and Dumo51 hit the nail on the head! The ambiance and view is absolutely beautiful. You're escorted on the top floor of the Hilton Hotel and whatever fragrance they use? I want it on me and my body always! The servers were attentive, the mock tail was fresh and the food was delicious. I had the lunch special which came with an app, entree and dessert. I ordered the meatballs, chicken milanese and the panna cotta. I also ordered the pasta vongole because how could you not? Everything was SCRUMPTIOUS! Seasoned, fresh, light and delicate. I can tell they care not only about their food but their presentation. It was lovely. My coworkers each enjoyed their items so I can basically recommend everything on the menu. Lunch vibe, friend gathering or cute date, 10/10 recommend!

Exceptional exceptional exceptional. 10s across the board. Duomo 51 is an upscale Italian restaurant with a beautiful terrace and rooftop atmosphere and panoramic views. Duomo 51 is one of the most beautiful restaurants in the city and has a unique view of St Patrick's cathedral and radio city music hall in the area of Rockefeller center. Reservations are highly recommended. Food quality is superb. The highest of quality of food. It serves a majority of Mediterranean cuisine. When looking at this restaurant it was mainly advertised as Italian cuisine, but it's lacking on the Italian side. I would think this should be a Michelin star if it's not already. They deserve it. I do wish there were more food options as there was a lack in variety. Watched our waiter professional debone a fish using only 2 spoons and I couldn't be more impressed. Service was just excellent. Very attentive, friendly kind and a good sense of humor. Came here for a birthday and couldn't help but to have a memorable time due to the service, food, ambiance, vibe, views and just a plain ol good time. Loved the interior decor. It was rather elegant featuring walls of wine that were perfect for a photo op. Would absolutely recommend for an intimate night out or for a lovely group setting that offers exquisite views and tasty dishes. Well worth the price!

The broccoli was really good for some reason to me. Also tried the truffle mac and cheese which was incredibly rich and tasted great. I've heard "Lunch at The Modern" so many times, one thing I was absolutely going to do during this…read moretrip to NYC was lunch at The Modern, and I'm so glad I did. Located at MoMA, The Modern is a 2 Michelin star restaurant hosting both fine dining, showcasing Chef Thomas Allan's cuisine, and a more casual dining experience in The Bar Room. The restaurant is gorgeous and has a giant glass wall overlooking MoMA's Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Sculpture Garden, a lovely view. There is an abridged tasting menu of 3 courses, but we opted for the full chef's menu cause we didn't want to miss their signature "eggs on eggs on eggs" and after the supplemental charge, the price was close enough. - Hiramasa and sugar snap peas/crispy ham and cheese--simple and delicious, with the hiramasa being light and fresh and the ham and cheese providing a deeply savory contrast - Chilled lobster, shiso, and green radish--the lobster was cold and sweet but as a personal preference, I don't really enjoy bitter flavors and the slice of lemon under the radish threw it off a bit - Eggs on eggs on eggs--words cannot adequately describe the unctuousness of this dish, it's like eating rich, buttery velvet on a crispy, fluffy log of brioche. As a bonus, they bring you an extra toast to mop up all the tasty bits - Pumpkin seed sourdough and cultured butter--okay I totally didn't know this was meant to be eaten with the next dish so given total lack of self control in the face of pillowy fresh bread and perhaps the smoothest butter on the planet, I may or may not have eaten it all before the trout showed up... they were nice enough to give us more :') - Sea trout with clams and saffron shellfish broth--the fish was cooked to literal perfection and the clam and saffron sauce enhanced everything even more. This fights with the chicken dish for spot #2 in my favorites of this meal - Heritage chicken, provençal asparagus, vin jaune--this reminds me of the stuffed chicken from Per Se and was cooked just as well. The vin jaune sauce was slightly nutty with an incredibly rich flavor and also went well with the bread - Lamb saddle, romanesco, and lemon poached dates--for some reason I thought the chicken was the final savory course and I did not pace myself at all and was so full by this point. The lamb was tender and the date was a wonderful bite though - Wild strawberries and cacao--I can't remember what was all in this but I loved the little wild strawberries as they were like delicious strawberry gummies - Dark chocolate cremeux, meyer lemon, and espresso--delicious with interesting flavors, I haven't had many lemon, chocolate, and coffee combinations - Mignardises of raspberry, lemon coconut, cherry cheesecake--only one I tried was the cherry cheesecake bonbon but my husband ate 'em all so they must've been good lol The MVP of this meal was the melon lemonade mocktail, made with honeydew, jasmine, and pandan. Might be the most perfect drink for me ever made because it was melony with a subtle floral note from the pandan and jasmine, and only lightly sweet and tart, everything I love. Sooooo good! Service was pretty good up until we wanted to pay, and for some reason it became really difficult to find someone to close us out. We waited almost 20 minutes between the mignardises and finally being able to pay, even actively looking around trying to flag someone down. Despite The Modern not being the most innovative of meals, it's easily one of my all time favorites. I definitely prefer food that's executed well over food that's pushing boundaries, and may be back any time I'm in town.

Their entire operation seemed so incredibly focused, meticulous, and inspiring that we knew we had to try it. We started with the Iberico ham and the hiramasa tart, both incredible. Then came the chilled lobster, which was super fresh and refreshing, served with an amazing sauce that made me want to lick the plate clean. Every dish felt refined without being overly complicated. The service was extraordinary. You can immediately tell the front-of-house team is operating at an extremely high level and is aware of everything happening in the room at all times. At one point, my wife stepped away to use the restroom just as they were about to serve the first course. Without saying a word or making anything awkward, the staff simply looped around a couple of times until she returned. The moment she sat down, they resumed service seamlessly without missing a beat. That level of awareness and professionalism really stood out to us. Next came the rye bread, which was fresh and crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside, paired with delicious butter. Then we had the sea bass with crab, which was phenomenal and one of my favorite dishes of the night. But the true star of the show for me was the lamb. My wife and I grill lamb racks often, and I genuinely had no idea this level of perfection existed. It was cooked flawlessly, and the sauce was absolutely incredible. If I was not in public, I probably would have been scraping the bone clean :) Big shoutout to one of the staff members, Stephanie, who completely made our night. We were telling her how excited we were to finally visit after watching the Bon Appétit video, and she casually asked if we wanted a tour of the kitchen after dinner. Honestly, I thought she was joking at first. Then she came back after dessert and reminded us. Even after paying the bill, I still thought maybe she was kidding, but then she walked over smiling and said, "Let's go." My wife and I were completely geeked out. Seeing the kitchen in person was surreal. It was exactly like the video: super meticulous, orders being called out and repeated in unison, everyone moving with total precision and purpose. You could see the Omega clock, the Michelin stars on the wall, and just the overall culture of excellence behind everything they do. We were honestly in awe. Thank you again, Stephanie. That experience meant so much to us. Every time we visit a fine dining restaurant for a special occasion, I always wonder whether it will truly live up to the hype. Some completely miss the mark. Some are very good. But none have delivered on every aspect the way The Modern did. This is officially our favorite restaurant in the world.
