I attended a doctors event tonight in the catering room of this restaurant. The catering room is not too large, yet not to small. We started with some bread and butter and a simple house salad. The bread was slightly warm and the butter was spreadable. The house salad was very good. Roasted peppers, olives, onion, tomato cucumber and of course lettuce. A nice house dressing was drizzled on top. With this catering event there was a limited menu. We had a choice of chicken primavera, veal Marsala, and eggplant Parmesan. I ordered the eggplant Parmesan, and my mom ordered the veal Marsala. I enjoyed the eggplant Parmesan....however I feel the sauce was a little watery. My mom said her veal tender and soft..not tough. She said it cut like butter! The night ended with coffee and cannolis! The coffee was bleh. Nothing special about the coffee here. The cannolis were excellent though! Mmmm! The catering area of this restaurant is nice for an event to be held. There's a separate bathroom and a small bar area. Terrible food. Terrible service. If the orange sauce doesn't make you want to puke, then their mushy pasta will. Their parmigiana dishes are swimming in cheese and their disgusting orange sauce. Pasta is always mushy even if you eat there. Most of their food belongs in the garbage. Their only good dish is their pecan salad, but it's exorbantly expensive. In addition, you call them and ask if they're open on Xmas Eve, and they say yes, but you show up and the kitchen is closed. Maybe they should treat their customers with more forethought and respect. Had my Baby Shower here a while ago everyone was very nice and helpful. Had a room to ourselves and it was very pretty. Long Island Pizza in general is horrible but LaPiazza is the worst. The pizza is terrible the food is terrible. it never changes. The crust of the pizza is like cardboard and tasteless. I LOVED this restaurant until............was there for lunch this past Wednesday. I get a slice of Sicilian pizza and a slice of Veggie pizza...both usually DELICIOUS....eating the Veggie slice and crunch on something hard....a plastic cap from a red pepper container ( see photo)...I calmly and quietly walk over to the counter and some big Mamarluke with glasses says can I help you....I show him and say " please tell your guys to be careful...I just bit on this." Now the reason this place went from 4 stars to 1was his reaction to ME, his good customer...he looks at it and says " oh wow" and walks away. I WOULD have said...gee, SO SORRY...what type of slice was it and I'll send you over another one....SO SORRY. The MAMARLUKE just walked away!!!! Visit Date: March 4, 2018 I came here for a baby shower. My only complaint which was my fault so I wouldn't take a star away from them was minor harassment when I had to turn my car in for valet parking. I didn't have time to organize my shit before leaving for the baby shower because hello got a 20 month old at home. Lucky I can leave the house in clothes with my hair brushed at times. So I had to spend a few minutes taking some stuff out of my trunk putting some things in my trunk and an employee came out to ask if she could help me because she wanted my car to be moved and parked as quickly as possible. Once I got into the baby shower party room she did apologize to me but I told her it was okay and explained I have a small child at home and unfortunately it's hard for me to get my shit together. She said she didn't want my car in the way because sometimes customers get impatient and start honking and I get it so I was cool with it. I was worried about the food because I've been on a healthy eating plan since November of '16 and I'm at a point where I'm maintaining but I still have to be careful of what I eat so I don't blow up again. Luckily they had tomato & mozzarella cheese salad and eggplant rolatini so I had enough to fill my plate and keep me satisfied. I think the eggplant rolatini was in an egg batter and not breaded so that was a plus too. The party was very nice, they seemed to make sure that it would run smoothly. The catering and event staff seemed to be on top of it. They got the salad starters out, the meal out, dessert & coffee out with enough time for the guest of honor to open her baby gifts. They were very accommodating too. When I explained about my eating plan at the buffet meal the server gave me three pieces of tomato and mozzarella cheese. When I asked for a cup of coffee before the dessert came out they bought it to me. I was at one catering place that refused to bring me a cup of coffee before dessert came out and it annoyed me to no end so I appreciate places that bring the coffee if you ask for it. It was also pretty good coffee not something watered down that tasted like you just put milk in water. My experience here was great I'm not sure about the regular dinner but the food and coffee I had was very good and the staff handled the party well. read more

This pizzeria and Italian resturante is located right on Merrick Road in Merrick, New York. Driving up you can see the beautiful stucco work and clay roof. They have a beautiful stone parking lot. Complete with an aqua fountain and bronze cavallo. They even have large iron gates wide open inviting you inside. Once inside you have the pizzeria on the right with seating in the left and to the rear the Italian resturante seating behind a hostess. The floors, tables, and chairs are all hard wood. The ceiling rafters are hard wood and exposed and look great. You really feel your getting your value if your here for lunch or dinner. The service is great from the hostess, to the waiter, and the bus person. I will definitely return for a casual bite since the food was so delicious and well priced. read more

I must have dummy written on my forehead. I must have made the mistake of coming during lunch time as the counter was over run by locals from the nearby doctors and dentists offices.... You know the young ones that sit at the counter, pretend they are someone important wearing scrubs that give you that miserable attitude when you check in. Yep, them. As i try to wait on some kind of disorganized line to order and get served, the aboves are on thier phones, congregating, not leaving the counter, thier giant wallets and massive key chains with thier mini stuffed animals and balony gym tags attached sitting on the counters taking up much needed counter space. ugggh. The counter staff is oblivios to anyone behind these idiots, but others seemingly push thier way to the front of the counter and get served. I do not push my way in to get a slice. I simply have to politely walk out. The problem with the counter service is the guys that work there seem to think they are too cool for anyone else and care less about service and more about nothing. Really a shame. I ordered the Shrimp Monchina, described as "Fresh pan fried jumbo shrimp simmered in a mushroom & Marsala wine brown sauce, layered with melted mozzarella." What I got was deep fried, breaded, chewy shrimp with about two tablespoons of brown sauce, covered in a pound of pizza cheese and canned mushrooms. It comes with a side of pasta and I asked for rigatoni on the side - the answer was "no." Penne or spaghetti only." So I asked for penne with olive oil, and instead I got olive oil with penne. Disgusting but since I didn't eat my main, I was hungry and ate it anyway. I won't be coming back, which is a shame because this restaurant has been a neighborhood staple for a long time. Just ordered through Uber eats...got the penne vodka with grilled chicken for myself and fettuccine Alfredo for my daughter. The penne had nothing close to a true vodka sauce on it though edible but the fettuccine Alfredo was gross. I came here with a few friends for dinner Friday night, and the bus boys were great, but our waitress was a bit unfriendly and rushed. When it came time to pay, we paid cash and she never brought back the change. She kept almost a 50% tip. We sat there waiting for her to bring back the change, but she never did, and we decided if it was that important for her to take it that it was not worth the argument because it would have been embarrassing to her and to us, so we just left.
